Nice looking and sturdy, so good protection. Battery does not seem to hold as much charge as 6 Plus model. Also, cannot be used with Lightning headphones or Apple's 3.5 mm to Lightning dongle. It only has a mini USB port. Thus, unless you can find a Lightning or 3.5 mm plug to mini USB port, then you must use Bluetooth headphones.

Due diligence
December 12, 2012
Failed to do your due diligence, eh? It was well-publicized in advance that they were changing the connector. And what kind of junk is a $300 speaker with no auxiliary input that you can connect to via the headphone jack? Plenty of cheaper ones have that.

AVOID! Amp broke on 3 seperate replacement subs.

Please do not buy this subwoofer. What follows is my experience with the Polk PSW110. I bought one after black Friday and as soon as I set it up there was no sound except for the occasional ear-splitting feedback and popping when the volume know was touched. I returned it the next day for a new one. It worked fine for a few months and one day it just quit. I went to try the volume knob and again, all it would do is feedback and pop. Great. Luckily I saved my receipt and was able to make a warranty claim with Polk about two months ago. I removed and sent in the amplifier for service and they sent me back a replacement. It worked for about a month and then the same exact problem happened again. I have searched online and found other people who encountered the same problem. Don't waste your time with this terrible piece of equipment. There is a good chance they use the same volume knobs across their lineup so I wouldn't even recommend picking a different Polk model.

Need another dongle
January 22, 2017
No lightning port, only mini USB, so you can't even use the lightning earbuds that came with your phone with this case. You will need to find a dongle that can do lightning plug to mini USB port if you have lightning headphones or 3.5 mm plug to mini USB port if you have 3.5mm headphones. I am sure that it would have been extremely complicated for Mophie to affordably engineer a way around this.
