Had no idea the tracking was this bad
on December 21, 2025
Posted by: Nate34
This is a product I wasnt sure I needed until I had it. I knew about cookies and other tracking means, but had no idea it was this prevelent.
The intitial set up was easy using my existing Google account and a product key. Downloaded and installed with no issues.
After the install it directed me to the Google Chrome add-on for Norton Anti-track. This also installed with no issues. I didnt install it on any other browsers because I only use Chrome.
Once installed and after some browsing it immediately started finding sites that were tracking me. Even well known sites seemed to track more then necessary.
I have a full year of Norton Anti-track and am glad I gave it a shot. Like I said this is something I didnt know I needed, but now get it. Just the piece of mind knowing these trackers will be blocked gives you a piece of mind while online that is worth it.
I think this is a definite necessity for anyone that wants to remain as private as possible online. And Norton Anti-track makes it all as easy as possible. Glad I gave it a shot and recommend!

First dash cam and it's great.
on December 14, 2025
Posted by: Nate34
Initial impressions is that is made very well and solidly built. In the box you get the main dash camera, a rear camera, power cable, 32gb SD card, a 26' cable, mount and extra adhesive.
Install was very easy but of course depends on vehicle used, your skill, etc. For me installing and setting it up in my 2014 Honda Civic took about 30 minutes. The hardest part was hiding the main cable that attaches the rear camera. But I just tucked it under my plastic floor boards on the door sills.
Then the set up was easy and the UI is well laid out. My car already has a rear camera and a right side camera so now all angles are covered. I wish I could integrate my stock cameras to the main to record which might be possible but more difficult then I want to attempt.
The screen quality is great and of much higher quality then my stock cams. And the footage comes out great.
I never thought I'd need a dash cam but I'm glad I do now. There's an added piece of mind knowing I have footage to backup any story from an incident or accident. Great price, easy to set up, nice quality footage, and has rear camera as well. Highly recommend!

As good as it gets!

The Asus Rog 27" OLED monitor is one of the best looking, but even more important best performing monitors I've had.
Nothing at the moment can beat OLED so right off the bat you know you're getting the best image quality out there.
The colors are outstanding. Of course you get true proper blacks due to the OLED technology, as well as amazing contrast ratio.
But there's a lot more then just that here. The 280hz display makes everything move so smooth with no input delay I noticed.
The monitor itself looks like high end and looks great paired with the G700. It has nice and thin bezels and almost looks like it's all screen.
The gaming performance is top notch. All my shooters, driving games, and more played with a smoothness and responsiveness that I hadn't been able to achieve with even my more expensive TVs. These would be great for competitive gaming!
I am extremely happy with the Asus Rog Strix and couldn't recommend it more. If you need the best look and performance look no further! Highly recommend!

Amazing clear, crisp sound. Comfy too
on December 1, 2025

The Sennheiser HDB 630 is close to if not at the top of my all time favorite headphones.
Firstly they look and feel great. I have a large head and these easily fit with room to spare. They are super comfortable for long sessions.
At first I had planned on just using these to play music from my phone. But after hearing them I decided to connect them as my main audio for all my TVs output.
That's apps like Netflix and YouTube, as well as all my gaming consoles. The High res audio is amazing! There is perfect separation for locating things in games.
The audio and bass is tight. I mean that it's not that overblown rattling bass. Perfect accurate bass, miss, and highs.
The adaptive noise cancelation is the best I've heard by far. It's almost too good. Drowns out all but the loudest ambient noise.
It has a claimed max battery life of 60 hours, but I've never tested that. However after a full days use it still has plenty to go another full day easily.
I went from just wanting these for phone audio on walks to using them for basically everything. Sennheiser knows their stuff. Super high recommendation!

Excellent way to get into PC gaming and more!
on November 28, 2025
Posted by: Nate34
The Asus Rog G700 is the perfect pre-built machine to get into PC gaming without sacrificing anything. And if you want to you can upgrade it yo a beast of a machine.
Getting into PC gaming has never been easier with Asus. They built a great "entry level" machine here that will be plenty for a new or seasoned gamer. Specs wise you'll get great 1080p performance which when played on a great monitor is hard to distinguish from 4k.
Setup was as easy as can be with Windows 11. If you've set one up before it's still as simple as it can be.
The machine itself is beautiful. The lighting and materials used look like a much more expensive PC.
It's nice and quiet even when the fans are at full.
I really like the lighting effects on this. Sometimes it can be a bit distracting but here it just looks like a light show.
When it comes to performance I was pleasantly surprised that everything ran nice and smooth. No issues at all unless you try to push it passed the settings it's made for.
And of course this does much more then gaming. It excels at all the other things you need in a PC. Videos, browsing, etc. are no problem.
Even though it isn't necessary I'm looking forward to upgrading this into a bit more powerful specs. But for someone looking to get into PC gaming for an excellent priceook no further. The Asus G700 has you covered!

Perfect "compact" fridge for much more then drinks
on November 28, 2025
Posted by: Nate34
This fridge couldn't have come at a better time. Due to unforseen circumstances I had to move out of my apartment and into a place that doesn't have a fridge. So this thing is really coming in handy.
It's also a lot larger then I expected. It has room for much more then just chilling your drinks. It's basically a full fridge but a bit smaller.
The freezer works excellent as well. Everything stays frozen and has room for TV dinners and a lot more.
The main compartment has lots of shelves for all your main stuff, and there's a crisper as well for your fruits and vegetables.
It's very well made. The stainless looks great and should easily fit into to any decor.
I'm so glad I got this. It's perfect for a small dorm, garage, or even as a main fridge in a place like the way I'm using it. It holds a lot more then it looks like it will.
You get a whole lot of fridge for a very low price. Couldn't be happier with it. If you need a multi purpose fridge that's a bit smaller then standard this will be perfect. Highly recommended!

Finally a headset that exceeds my Gen 2 Astro A50s
on October 14, 2025
Posted by: Nate34
For years now Ive been trying all the new gaming headsets that have come out. And one after another just could not match the sound of my Gen 2 Astro A50's. The closest thing that came to that was the Steelseries Siberia 800s. But they just did not have the punch of the Astros.
The way Ive had things set up prior to the Arctis was I have 2 separate A50 headsets and would just swap them out as needed for charging. This was not exactly convenient and after all those connects and disconnects the wires and charging ports would get loose. So I am very happy that Steelseries has gone with the swappable battery system. It is so much more convenient and easy to replace bad batteries after years of use.
The headset itself is very very comfortable despite my rather large head. And I should mention that I use my gaming headsets for all my audio. So I have them on the entire time my TV is on. And long sessions are a breeze.
And one of my 2 favorite features is that this can be used with all 3 of my consoles (PS5, XBOX Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2) without having to switch a bunch of wires and dongles around. It all just works.
So with all these awesome features I was worried that just like before with so many others the sound just would not be as good. Well that is definitely not the case here. The sound is PERFECT for me! Perfect highs, mids, and especially punchy and accurate lows make for not just awesome gaming. But movies and music sound amazing as well.
So in conclusion I have finally found the perfect headset for my set up. Compatibility with all my consoles, all day comfort, amazing gaming, and perfect audio for all my TV's output. Loving these!

Great for some games, not so much for others
on October 2, 2025
Posted by: Nate34
Ive never much been into 3rd party controllers in the past. I played a lot in the era of a sea of junk when it came to 3rd party controllers. I understood the appeal of getting one at half the price. But they always felt, looked, and controlled half as good. So upon the inevitable break Id just spring the extra cash for an OEM.
So with that all in mind despite the price I was expecting the controller to just not “feel” right. Well that was immediately put to rest once I got this in my hand. It feels so good and premium in the hand. It has the perfect weight and balance, no rough edges, and the grips feel like they could handle long sessions with no problems.
Like my title this is my first modular controller so Im new to it. But was pleasantly surprised. So being able to tweak the parts, but also the buttons and settings makes for getting closer to the perfect controller even closer.
One thing I was concerned about was whether or not the PS5s great haptics would work on the triggers, etc. And unfortunately it does not support that. I suppose it would have to even more expensive for that, but a lot of games arent the same without it. Specifically Astro Bot. But when it comes to shooters its not that bad to not have the kickback of the triggers you get.
The battery life is claimed to be at 20 hours and I can say it gets close. Ive never ran out since I just charge at the end of the day.
One thing I love is that these have hall effect thumbsticks which will stop the dreaded drift. I myself have not had an issue with drift on my others, but its nice to know that wont happen here.
Overall I like this controller for some games and not so much for others. Shooters and fighting games will be great. But for games that rely heavily on the PS5 specific haptics as a feature might not.

Samsung Excellence
on September 9, 2025
Posted by: Nate34
Ive been on the fence for awhile about curved displays. Expecially when they were so popular as TV's. I didnt see the advantage or reason until now. Now that its used as my gaming and PC monitor I “get it” now.
First off the build is amazing. It just looks like something off of a starship. And it being 40” I see no reason to have to run multiple monitors anymore. It elegantly wraps around the desk and immerses you in like no other has for me.
I do wish it was an OLED like my main TV is. But its not far off. The colors and blacks look great. And at 180Hz the performance is tops. It easily handles all I throw at it and asks for more! And with 1ms response time you will never have any sort of input lag at all.
It has plenty of ports to connect your PC and gaming consoles. One extra HDMI would have been nice. But I have an auto HDMI switcher that works well so thats not a big issue.
The picture quality is very good as well. Ive been spoiled by the black levels of OLED but its not a deal breaker. It has some of the best graphics Ive seen.
Overall I am absolutely loving this monitor. The way you just fall in and get immersed is amazing. I now get why this was a fad for TV's years ago. But with a monitor it actually makes sense. Love it.

Comfortable great sounding gaming headset
on September 9, 2025
Posted by: Nate34
The first thing I noticed is the weight (or lack thereof). They are very lightweight despite having a very solid build to them. At just over a half of pound they can stay comfortably on your head for long gaming sessions. But in my case I use them for all my audio (not just gaming). So they need to be able to stay comfortable for hours.
The initial set up and install is very easy using the included dongle. I like that by having Bluetooth and 2.4ghz connectivity you can stay connected to your game and phone at the same time. The dongle is a bit weird shaped but is easy to get connected with a simple adapter if needed.
Soundwise I am really impressed. The spatial sound is amazing. This is great for locating things in competitive gaming, but also works awesome with movies, TV, etc. It has very crisp sound that is very well balanced. And the bass isnt too loud where it becomes the main focus. Its perfect.
The claimed battery life is 30 hours. This is of course all based on usage. If you are using BT and 2.4 you can probably get half that. But that is still plenty for a full day use before it needs a charge.
The noise canceling works great as well. It really blocks out all the stuff you dont want to hear which adds to the overall immersion of your game or movie. Sony has this dialed in.
The Inzone app allows you to further tweak things like the EQ to your liking. I prefer a set it and forget it type of set up so Ill work on the EQ and other settings to make one that will work for all my audio needs.
Overall I am really impressed with the H9 II. It has all the sound, features, and settings I need for all my audio from my TV and phone. Highly recommend.

Great Laptop
By techjunkie07
I purchased this laptop a few days ago and man do I love it. This computer has everything I was looking for in a laptop (expect for an SSD) however I felt I could live without it considering the price for this machine. I have never owned an Acer always HP, had it for 7 years and it was time for an upgrade. I do really like this laptop fast, beautiful design and enough ports not to mention the PRICE again you wont be disappointed.

Should be at the top of your TV shopping list!!
By Nate34 from North Bay Area, Ca.
When I started TV shopping I did a lot of research and at first bought the 55” KS8000. I liked that but when the KS9000 went on sale I exchanged it for that. One of the main reasons I went with the 9000 was the design (mainly the stand). On the 55” version of the 8000 the legs are about 44” apart. My stand that I have been using for years for several TV's is only 42” wide. So I had to use a large piece of wood on top of my stand just to be able to set up the 8000. This didnt really look all that great, and I didnt want to have to replace my stand with a wider one. And thankfully the 9000 has a more standard V shaped stand that fits and works great on my TV stand.
And the 9000 also has some improved specs and also looks better in my opinion. I didnt really like the glossy back of the 8000. Anyway I really love this TV. Ive had several Samsungs, and my last set was the JU7100. But decided it was time to upgrade. I dont really miss the lack of 3D because I think I literally only used it once on my 7100 to test it. And I do believe 3D is on its way to being extinct. Anyway the new thing now of course is HDR. And the KS9000 really takes advantage of that. It simply looks amazing. There are several Netflix shows that show what HDR is all about. And I also recently bought the new XBOX ONE S. Ive yet to buy an HDR Bluray, but I will soon. But as I mentioned there is plenty of HDR on Netflix and Amazon Video in the meantime.
One of the really cool new features this years Samsung TV's has its the new Tizen system. It is much more simple and streamlined this year. My favorite feature so far is how well the TV detects whatever device you are connecting and names it accordingly. I have a PS3, PS4, XBOX ONE, 360, and a PC laptop all connected to my TV. And it names them all without me having to do anything. The PS3 and PS4 are both automatically labeled as “Playstation”. And the XBOX One and 360 are both labeled by their full names each. I didnt have to type out names like I have before when customizing my input names. As you can tell I have a lot of things connected to my TV. And since it has 4 HDMI ports I use 2 HDMI 3 way splitters. They automatically switch to whatever source is powered on. So my system is set up like this:
HDMI 1 = Direct TV
HDMI 2 = PS3 and PS4
HDMI 3 = XBOX ONE S
HDMI 4 = PC, Wii U, and XBOX 360
The reason I am listing these all out is because I want to add how smart this TV is. It switches the settings, input name, and device type on HDMI 4 on its own depending on whichever one is powered on. And I have different settings for PC and the Wii U and 360. I use to have to manually switch the input type every time I went from one to the other. But when I power off a device it automatically switches all the settings and input types on its own.
Of course a review of a TV without talking about picture quality isnt complete so here we go. Simply put its amazing. The colors and picture are awesome. It also has very good motion handling, especially if you set Auto Motion plus to Auto. But this gives you the dreaded SOE (Soap Opera Effect). Which I really dont care for. So I use a custom setting for Auto Motion (Blur 3, Judder 3, and LED Clear Off). This gives it very good motion handling with very little SOE.
As you read above I am a gamer. And one of the main things I look for when TV shopping is the input lag (or lack thereof). And this is one of the best TV's released this year for low input lag. In Game mode the lag is only 20.5 ms. This is great, I dont notice any lag at all. I was also thinking of getting the Sony X930D but decided not to for a few reasons, one of those is that it has about 54ms of lag. This isnt terrible, but would be noticeable in my opinion.
The other main reason I went with the Samsung over the Sony is that I am still not sold on the Android Smart platform. I tested it on a 2015 Sony and it was just too buggy. I have read it is better this year, but in my opinion the new Tizen is much better.
Another thing I look for in TV's is a good USB media player for videos on hard drives. And Im happy to say that the Samsung recognizes and plays every single file type I have tested. It also has SRT subtitle support.
So overall I am very happy with this TV. It is by far the nicest set I have ever owned and I look forward to years of use with it. If you are looking for a new HDR 4K TV this should be on the top of your list. If you want a cheaper alternative go with the KS8000. Just be aware on the 55” version of the 44” wide legs. On the larger versions the 8000 has optional closer leg mounts, but for some reason Samsung did not do this on the 55” version. Anyway thanks for reading. If you have any questions or comments feel free. Ill try to answer and respond.

Im the review writer, needed to add info.

The one issue I am having is that the source list and its icons go blank every couple days, sometimes more. This is a known issue and apparently Samsung is looking into it. As a work around you can hold down the power button on the remote to force it to reboot. This brings the source list back, but its still an issue. Its only the upper source list, the lower one doesnt go away. If you own the set you'll know what I mean by the upper one. Thankfully this is an issue that can be fixed via firmware update, but as of 1131 (9-23-16) it still happens. If it gets fixed Ill try to update my review.

4. don't like that I have to buy a "mod" kit for $$300 headphones that's just shady the stock ear covers are great though...
5. magnetic base is good
6. no problems with setup
7. the optical cable and USB cable are way too short
8. originally bought the turtle beach 800 elite. but returned it bc it was rather inconvenience to wear when reclining and gaming... these a50 do not give me that problem
9. sound is a good for the simulated 7.1 setup.. I could pick out footsteps from different ears bass is good..
10... buy the protection plan... all I've read astro service can be not what you want it to be., I'd rather just deal with best buy return dept...
11. Happy with my purchase

Battery question
November 3, 2016
I know these have better battery life than the previous gens but have you had them actually run out on you? I have 2 sets of Gen 2's now that I just swap out when one headset dies and then start charging it. I use my A50's for all my TV audio not just gaming so they run out after about 5 hours or so, so Im hoping that the Gen 3's will always have enough battery to get through the day as long as I set them back on the charger when not using them. Thanks

Great headset
By Anthony
I have owned A40s and currently own a pair of last gen A50s. The new A50s make a lot of great improvements over last gen. No chat cable is great and the docking station acts as an external sound card for the PC and does not require an optical cable for full 7.1 which is awesome. Audio quality seems to be better that the old A50s. I would occasionally get some low buzzing noise in the old model but the new ones are crisp and have no such issues so far. Battery life is significantly improved and the auto shut off is a welcome addition(the headset senses that it has been put down and shuts off after 15 seconds. Once it senses it have been moved it turns right back on. Usually the audio is already coming in by the time I put it on my head). Build quality is super solid. Expensive but they sound great and are a quality product. I am not wild about the color scheme but I can deal with it.

What does it mean NOT compatible with Verizon & Sprint? I cannot talk to someone that has Sprint or Verizon service?

This only means it is a GSM only phone so if you were on Sprint of Verizon your sim card would not work. You can call and message anyone on any carrier with it.

How can i connect 2 televisions to same directv box wirelessly to show same picture?

What are my options to wirelessly connect 2 hd tvs to the same directv box to broadcast the same show?
You would need a splitter that takes one HDMI signal and splits it into 2.

Is this a flat or curved screen? There's no mention of the curved screen in the product description, but the photos show it as curved.

The KS9000 is flat. The KS9500 is the curved one.

Looking to replace comcast modem want to buy a compatible modem

I also had to replace my comcast modem and have tried 2 different brands since then. This first one I got was a Zoom, and then later bought a Motorola. Ive had less issues with the Motorola. But Im not sure if they carry that same model. Its been a couple years. Depends on what you want to pay. I see the Motorola SB6121 is only 69.99 right now and has excellent reviews.

Modem/Router

I am trying to stream Netflix to two different televisions.. Do I need to purchase a second Modem?
If so, will cox cable recognize a second modem? In other words, must I pay more and register a second Modem with them?
NO, you dont need 2 modems. All you need is 1 modem, and a wireless router. Then set up the wireless on the router, then any device that has internet can connect to the router by searching for wireless and entering your password.
