I will start by saying that I normally wear over the ear headphones as they are traditionally more comfortable for me personally, however Bose has done an outstanding job in the design of the QuietControl 30; they have a very comfortable fit and are snug but not tight (mainly because you do not push them into your ear canal). The most amazing part is they managed to bring the industry leading Noise Cancelling feature to these; as expected it works flawlessly and has the legendary Bose quality that I have come to expect. I did find a nice little feature in the app that allows you to adjust noise cancelling amount on the fly depending on your surrounding environment, I tested the QC30’s with various Apple products using different iOS versions and everywhere from very quiet to extremely noisy environments and had absolutely no issues whatsoever. I am amazed at the audio quality Bose manages to get in such a small form factor, the sound is absolutely flawless. I tested various types of music (Classical to Classic Rock) all of which sound great, I know some people complain that Bose has a too much bass but I find a nice mix of mid & lows and highs are crystal clear and not “tinny”. As far as the neck band, I personally do not mind it too much, it could be considered uncomfortable for some I guess but is a small tradeoff for the wireless and noise cancelling features. The other function of the neck band is storing the batteries, the most impressive part being the battery life, considering the noise cancelling feature I expected a lower battery life but to my surprise the battery lasted around 9 hours before requiring a recharge; very appealing for travel and everyday use. If I had to find a single fault, not really a fault so much, the inline control is located on the right cable and I guess due to the weight it tends to pull at the ear bud when turning your head; in defense though Bose had to put it somewhere easily accessible and in that aspect it is certainly easy to use. I would highly recommend the QC30's to anyone that needs the flexibility of wireless and industry leading noise cancelling in a lightweight package, they will certainly outperform the other options in the market in my personal opinion after trying several different competitive options.

I will start by saying that Bose hit a Grand Slam with the QC35, they managed to bring their legendary Noise Cancelling feature to wireless; quite the accomplishment and to me the most impressive feature added to the wireless family. I own a pair of the Wireless SoundLink II and the Noise Cancelling feature was all they were missing. The QC35’s are amazing and the star of the family, have crystal clear audio and expected Bose quality throughout; I especially like the buttery soft ear cups. I have other competitive headphones (Harmon Kardon, Beats) and they can become quite uncomfortable after extended use due mainly to the ear cups and they tend to be tighter (vise like), the QC35’s are very lightweight and do not put any noticeable “clamping force”, you can easily forget you are wearing them. The other feature I enjoy is the seamless switching between devices; I tested the QC35’s with the following: iPad Air iPad Mini iPhone 5S iTouch latest gen iPod Nano latest gen
I had absolutely no issues with controls, audio quality and effortless switching between them. I tested music (Classical to Classic Rock), music videos and movies; the audio was in perfect sync with no lag (Harmon Kardon while nice, suffer a severe lag with all video). I also tried the app, while not very robust at the present time I can see a tremendous future for it; it did perform quite well at switching and volume control and I am sure Bose will continually add features to it. I also wanted to point another nice feature I found, while listening I found myself hearing new things in the tracks that I completely missed before; the sound separation is absolutely the best I have heard. I am not an audiophile by any means but do enjoy listening to my music on the QC35’s and the only word I can think of is incredible. Now the Pros and Cons: Pros: Excellent sound quality and superb at blocking external noise Exceptional build quality, consistent with all previous Bose products I own Extremely comfortable to wear for extended periods The case – I personally like the compact nature of the included case (see pic), easy to slip into a briefcase Battery life – After listening to them for around 8 hours I still showed 50% battery left, very impressive
Cons: Right now I can’t think of a single thing I do not like
I would highly recommend the QC35's to anyone that enjoys premium quality headphones and a great listening experience
