The Steelcase Series 1 chair has a LiveBack flexor system in the backrest which conforms to your body and moves with you to support the spine as you change postures. The tilt mechanism is synchronized; the seat and back work in harmony with each other, keeping the body securely supported in the chair and feet firmly planted on the floor so you can recline without leaving your optimal zone for seeing and reaching your work. Feature set includes an adjustable seat depth, fully adjustable arms, adjustable lumbar, pneumatic seat height adjustment, recline tension adjustment (weight activated with adjustment and lock), flexing back with mesh upholstery, upholstered seat and wheels for hard flooring. The seat features strong yet pliable foam which conforms to the body and creates pressure-free comfort. Flexible seat edge offers a bit of bend, right where you need it – relieving pressure points under your thighs. This chair will arrive unassembled and require some assembly and is covered by a 12-year warranty.

Best I have owned
on May 25, 2022
Posted by: dharr18
This chair is easily one of if not the best I have ever owned.
It starts coming out of the box.
I had all my tools ready: screwdriver and bits, Allen wrenches, cups for screws and an assortment of wrenches. You know how these things are, the tools they give you will work but they don't do the job well. I was prepared!
So i open the box and get everything out.
"Great! They did not pack the hardware. Wait, the base is already together. Let me look at the instructions."
Literally the build consists of:
Put base on floor
Insert the shock
Put the upper section on shock/base assembly.
Slide seat into groves
Enjoy
No screws, nuts, misaligned holes, rubber hole covers...none of it. Just a few clicks and done. I had the chair together in 5 minutes, most of which was opening the box.
There are three settings for the reclining: locked, tension and freefall (how I feel with no resistance when reclining)
The chair raises and lowers like it is on a cloud.
The arms adjust however you need for comfort. Up, down, in, out and rotating in and out.
The seat slides in and out to allow a correct depth.
There is a lumbar adjustment, that could probably be done better but does the job.
The wheels are a bit tight, but you don't want to feel like you are on a skate board when you are working.
The seat cushion is comfortable and the mesh back prevents back sweat,
The warranty on the chair is outstanding.
Like I said, best chair I have owned. And it looks like it will last a long time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good but
on May 25, 2022
Posted by: dharr18
Setup was pretty straightforward and easy. I ran into no issues either time I set these up. I ended up redoing the config because the one node hung during setup.
The app is pretty well designed and intuitive. It allows you to set up profiles and assign users to devices. This is handy if you are setting time limits, but also lets you know if a new device is online.
I have some devices that are Wi-Fi 6 that take advantage of the faster speeds. Most of my non Wi-Fi 6 devices are actually seeing slower speeds coming through the AX1800 network. Right now I am running two (actually 3) Wi-Fi networks. Out modem has built in Wi-Fi that I leave up if anything is not working it allows me to get to the modem interface for a restart from inside the GUI.
My next issue I need to restart my Wi-Fi on portable devices to connect to the closer node. There is no true mesh handoff that happens. On my older network I would hand off as I walked through the house. If I test I see I get less than 5 mbps down and up until I disconnect and reconnect to the network. Even then, sometimes this does not fix the issue.
My last issue, randomly one node will disconnect or restart, since there was not a node naming during the configuration I need to figure out which node is which
The range on each node is very good, maybe too good causing the devices not to do a handoff.
These are nice looking devices that are almost unnoticeable in most places. The LED light is not too bright and won't function as a nightlight.
I think there could be some improvements on the install and reconfiguring the nodes. Some things in the app are hard to find. Luckily you only do these things once in a great while.
The other issue I have at the moment, there does not seem to be a web interface for these. Connecting to the main router only brings up a page showing a QR code and telling you to download the app.
Final thought, if you have a lot of Wi-Fi 6 devices, this might be worth it. The speed gain is considerable for Wi-Fi 6 devices, but if you have more devices that are not Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ac and lower) then you won't see the gains and maybe even slower speeds. The range on these are quite good, but I am still finding areas in the house that have slow speeds even though I am laid out to maximize the 5000 square foot advertised area of coverage for the 3 node. I probably need to add a 3rd extender to get to one corner of the house, brick walls seem to be every routers kryptonite.
I would recommend if you have the devices to take advantage of the speed, but not worth and upgrade if you don't have enough devices to actually gain from it.

Cleaner Air
on May 24, 2022
Posted by: dharr18
I am really impressed with this air purifier. A few key things I like is the fact the filter is expected to last up to a year before needing replaced. A lot of these filters require 3-6 month pops at a hefty price.
This unit automatically adjusts to the allergens in the air, if you want to test it. Burn a piece of toast in the toaster with this nearby. The clean percentage drops quickly. I have noticed this when dogs walk near it and other items when added into the room I have it in.
The purifier will do a 500 sqft room pretty quickly. It runs for about 10 minutes before it quiets down after it reached 100% cleaned.
You can scroll through the different results with the info button on the screen. You can see how long you have on the filter, clean percentage and other stats.
I have noticed a definite change in air quality, especially now in the spring with pollen being so high. I moved the unit from my office to one of the bedrooms and within a hour I was doing the allergy sneezes.
It definitely work as advertised.

OK ear buds
on May 19, 2022
Posted by: dharr18
These ear buds make me come away meh. The sound is good. The comfort is ok. They look good.
The Sound:
It is really odd but turning ANC off they sound much better. The ANC really does not cancel much if any background noise. I tried the other ear cups and the defaults fit the best but none of them changed the noise cancelling.
There is a Awareness setting also that doesn't seem to do much but add static to what you are listening to. I could hear the same background noise I did with ANC on or nothing on.
The overall sound quality, when ANC is off, is pretty decent. These are not going to dethrone the big names in the game, but they sound good. Not great.
The App:
The app lets you change some settings on the ear buds. The equalizer is pretty straight forward with a bunch of predetermined settings that can be edited. You can quick change between the ANC, Aware and off (more on this later).Changing custom actions are limited at best. The rest of the drilled down settings are minimal as in turn on or off an option.
In the settings you can update the firmware from there. I was hoping my issues would be because of a pending firmware update.
The Comfort:
They are not uncomfortable. But you know they are in your ears. They don't fall out easily and don't require a bunch of adjustments, but they never feel like they are in right.
The Controls:
Touch controls are terrible at best. It may be me, but I touch and nothing happens. I long touch, nothing happens. I take them out of my ear, and it registers a touch action. One ear piece will register a touch, the other registers nothing. Next time I attempt, neither work or they swap sides of which recognize a touch.
Other Issues:
More than once I have had one ear piece working, the other has no sound. Put them in the case and reconnect over Bluetooth, the opposite side now has no sound. Try again and they both work but no touch controls at all.
I was thinking some of my issues may be my phone, so I connected to my tablet. Same issues. Connected to another phone from another maker, same issues.
When they work, they sound OK. Granted, the one bud working has been off and on, but has happened often enough to mention. The touch controls are another subject.
Why am I rating a 3 star? One I am feeling generous, but they do sound OK. The issues I am having all should be fixed with a firmware update, I HOPE! Since most of the issues seem to be firmware related I hesitate to give a 1 star.
To me I give 1 star to the unredeemable. I save those for the truly useless merchandise.
2 stars are for bad with no redeeming qualities to build off of.
The 3 star is where I put something that can get better IF the firmware gets updated. Or is just a average product. I think at a peak these could be a 4 star product: good, not great.

Perfect balance of watch and smart
on May 10, 2022
Posted by: dharr18
from Florida
OK, I am a smart watch fan, but not a enthusiast. The enthusiast days left with the Moto 360 Gen 1 with a flat tire. As much as I loved the idea of changing my watch face as I wanted. I found myself finding one that worked for me and I never changed it again unless I was bored.
Now to the Withings Scanwatch Horizon. I have the green face model, really it is such a dark green it could be called black or gun metal. Even the alternate band is a dark green almost black dark gray. This is far from a complaint, I really like the look and color. It is not so black that it seems flat, at angles you can catch the green tint to it. If you did not know better, you would not look at this and think smart watch. It is a beautiful looking watch none the less.
Initial setup is very easy, the Withings app seemed very intuitive and well designed. It connected to my Android device without a hiccup. The cool factor came when setting the time to my phone, the hands went to 12:00 and moved to the correct time with the push of a button in the app. It actually felt a little eerie to watch (hehe) it happen. There is a setting to move the hands when a alert is being displayed. The hands will go to 10 and 2 to show the display.
I was concerned the display would be too small to see or read anything easily. Surprisingly the display actually does a better job showing the info than my full screen smart watch. Withings did a great job with the sizing and the brightness of the display. You can see it outside with no issue.
Now to the real smarts. The display is controlled by the crown (little knob on the side). press in to bring up the menu and rotate it to navigate. Press again to make the selection. You can set a long press to open any one item in the menu. Mine is set for workout.
There is a SPO2 and ECG on the back of the watch that can be navigated through the menu. It will ask you to place you other hand on the side of the watch to activate the sensors and give pressure enough to do an accurate measurement.
The ECG is a single node ECG, this will give you some really basic and good info, not a medical grade 12 node but it will detect what is needed. This is not an alternative to an actual ECG in a hospital, but could give you an idea you might want to get one done.
The SPO2 is great to see that you are getting the oxygen you need, it also monitors you overnight while sleeping and can detect breathing issues while sleeping. The App gives you some recommendations as it learns more about your patterns.
The app will sync with Google Fit and Apples whatever they call it. I was able to bring in all my stats from my other watch to track in app and in Fit.
There is also a GPS assisted which will track your exercise session a little more accurately, especially cycling,
Another bonus for the app, you can select what apps send messages to the watch face. If you want to know when something special is happening in an app you are addicted to, you can get those alerts.
Battery life has been very good. In a week I uses about 1/4 of the battery. I was at 72% and that was playing with it a lot for the first week to get use to it. It says it will last 30 days and up to 45 with battery saver one. I simply have started charging while I am in the shower about once a week just to top the battery off while I am not wearing it.
A few added touches I did not expect. There was a "alternate" band in the box. It feels like leather at first but eventually you will realize it is actually a FKM wristband (FKM is the best possible type of rubber on the market, I Googled it). There is also a metal link wristband already attached to the watch. Impressively there are additional links and tools to add or remove the links.
This is the one place I want to give a drawback to this watch, only because I am a BIG guy. The default size was small, very small, for the metal link band. I ended up adding two links to get a proper fit. HOWEVER, having the tools and instructions on how to add and remove links, I was able to do this in a matter of a minute or two. Very easy. Jewelers have a great racket going on resizing watches.
Overall, if you are on the fence on getting this watch. Hop off and get that card out of the wallet. You will not regret the purchase. While this isn't overdone like some smart watches that try to do everything, it does everything you need it to do and does it really well. And most importantly it looks good while doing it and does not look like you have a rectangle screen strapped to your arm.
I like that it is smart without being a small phone on my wrist.

Comfortable and good sound
on May 3, 2022
Posted by: dharr18
from Florida
These headphones are quite comfortable. They look like they may feel cheap, but once in hand or on head, the quality and comfort are obvious.
The sound reproduction is quite accurate and full. Bass is acceptable.
I have a large head, so finding headphones that are comfortable can be a challenge. These do not put much pressure on my temples like others do. They are very comfortable even wearing glasses. Long gaming sessions are not an issue comfort wise and they work wonderful for work meetings.
My only gotcha is the flip to mute. When using the flip to mute in conference calls, the mute did not engage. I have noticed this sporadically happening in game in specific games. Others it seems to work as intended. Just odd that it is not consistent.
The mic does a great job, especially eliminating background barking dogs. Unless they are right behind me.
In Windows, there is no driver download and they act as a normal headphone. No app to install. Just plug and use. This might explain why the flip to mute does not work.
Cable length is long enough to go from console/pc to a comfortable distance. Well over 6 foot cable.
Outside of the flip to mute, I can not find any downside to these headphones. I am really likeing the Astro lineup of headphones.

Smooth and well designed

I really like the design of this trimmer. There are 3 different ranges on the attachments that are adjusted by a wheel in the center of the handle. Attachment 1 is 1-10 mm, 2 is 11-20 mm and 3 is 21-30 mm. The adjustment nob is in a place you won't easily change the length unless you want to.
Changing the attachments are as easy as sliding off and on.
Adjusting the length is rotating the dial to desired length in association with the attachment.
The blade cuts clean and no pulling of hair. Very quiet compared to other trimmers I have used.
There is also a extra attachment for "precision trimming" that is actually a slick design with a sheath that covers part of the trimmer that slides from side to side so either the right or left portion of the trimmer is exposed to cutting.
Additionally there is a case, oil and charging cord in the packaging. The trimmer will work corded or cordless. You can rinse the trimmer under running water to clean it. So far I am not seeing a need for using water yet, but it is good to know.
I really like this trimmer and recommend it.

ILLUMINATING EYE MASSAGER As the eye contour has delicate skin that is up to 5 times thinner than facial skin along with muscles that can be overworked through blinking 10,000 times a day and movement every 10 seconds, the area is very prone to signs of stress, lack of sleep and aging. The IRISTM, with its innovative Alternating T-SonicTM Technology was specially developed as an answer to the strains the eye contour undergoes to bring every user refreshed, younger-looking eyes.

The 2021 Pace 500 ebike provides the rider with ultimate balance of comfort and power. With an upright cruiser frame and a cushy saddle, you'll have excellent riding posture and will not want to stop the fun! Luckily, a large battery with fast charge capabilities, 3-4 hours until full, means that you can get back in the saddle in no time. A powerful motor gives you the ability to get where you're going faster than you ever expected, and five levels of pedal assist plus a throttle function mean that you can expend as little or as much energy as you like whilst doing so. Get out there and feel the Pace on our most popular ebike!

Great Bike, Great For Recovery and Therapy
on February 6, 2022
Posted by: dharr18
from Florida
Age:45-54
Gender:Male
This bike is fantastic. Very smooth ride, very easy to pedal, acceleration is smooth and easily controller.
First I will start with assembly. First thing I recommend is go to the support site and watch the videos for assembly. The manual was written for both the 350 and 500 models. While they are similar, the assembly is just slightly different. Also, make sure you have a second set of hands available, that will make things much easier on you.
Attached I have images of all the parts of the bike and what it is shipped with. Assembly is very simple with included hardware.
Build tip 1, make sure you have the from wheel with the brake assembly on the left hand side as well as the bikes fork with the brakes assembly on the left hand side. There is a small plastic piece that needs to be removed from the fork side before attempting to mount the wheel.
After that the assembly is quite straight forward. Everything is well marked and the video is easy to follow. It will walk you through each thing you need to do. I was able to assemble and ride within 30 minutes. It would have been much shorter but we had dropped a washer and could not find it. It ended up being in the plastic piece that protected the wheel hub.
Build tip 2: When attaching the pedals make sure you are putting the pedals on the correct sides and avoid cross threading them at all costs.
Now I will go onto two short stories on the ease of ride and the general comfort.
First, I have a son who is 16 and on the autism spectrum. He is quite high functioning but as a youth attempting to teach him how to ride was something we could never accomplish. His frustration level got so high so quickly he soon went into meltdown phase. He assisted me in building the bike and wanted to learn to ride. Since this bike does not require the battery, I felt that removing the battery was best as he attempted to learn to ride a bike.
He got on the bike I gave him a quick tutorial on how the brakes worked, and told him to just get use to balancing by pushing off and just coasting and hitting the brakes. He did that one time and wanted to pedal asking how to do that. I showed him how I start off and he watched. Five seconds after I got off the bike he did the exact thing I did and was riding around the cul-de-sac.
We have had the bike less than a week and he is riding it around the block daily for exercise, weather permitting. He has even learned how the battery works and thanks to mom learned why you should have pedal assist off when starting. Lets just say she tested, video attached, and left the pedal assist on. My son got back on and shot across the cul-de-sac faster than he anticipated. He stopped the bike and knew what to do thanks to training ahead of time. Lesson 1: Learn the controls.
My second story is around my wife. Over the last decade she has had multiple back surgeries, fusions, discectomies among other issues revolving around her back. She has seen countless doctors and specialists. Been through therapy over and over again. It was at a point we thought she may never be mobile again, walking was a chore and for years required a cane or walker. More recently she was in a wheel chair any time we went anywhere. Thankfully we found a doctor who has helped her well beyond our wildest dreams, thank you Dr. Canale!
Needless to say for a long period we never expected her to ride anything with wheels other than a wheel chair. The attached video shows my wife (tear in my eye as I type) riding this bike. She also demonstrates the acceleration with the pedal assist in the video.
She absolutely loves this bike. It is easy to pedal, the assist lets her take a break when needed while still being on the go. She has rode the bike when my son has not been riding for a few miles a day.
Thank you Aventon for helping in her recovery and for giving us a tool that helped my son learn something we never were able to teach him when he was younger.
Now that he has learned, we can finally spend some time with his two brothers to see if they want to learn as well. We could not spend time teaching them to avoid the unneeded meltdowns.
Charging is simple, we charge with the battery off the bike, as is recommended by the manual. There are keys to unlock the battery for removal. Keep an eye on the battery during charging and do not charge for over 12 hours per the manual. It does not take ling to get to full charge, but I would not charge overnight unless you have to.
I would also recommend taking the battery off overnight if your garage is cool/cold.
The build of this bike is absolutely flawless. I am a BIG guy, 6'4" and we have the large frame Pace 500 step over. My son is also over 6 foot tall.
Needless to say, we are planning on additional purchases in the future as finances allow. One bike just isn't enough.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't Be Deceived By The Description
on January 18, 2022
Posted by: dharr18
from Florida
Do not let the description deceive you into thinking this is a larger than normal mouse for those of us with monster hands. It is a normal sized desktop mouse. There is nothing wrong with that, but don't think this is a special build for big hands. It is larger than the M535 which I also like very much even though it is a small mouse. Both mice, the M535 and M650L, are great to throw in a book bag and take with you.
The M650L is a normal sized mouse with both the dongle and Bluetooth support. They both work very well with excellent range.
There is a slot inside the battery cover for the dongle if not being used, I always appreciate this little feature because these little dongles are lost so easily when there is not a storage compartment in the device.
The mouse has a great feel and the buttons are in the perfect position, Logitech is usually very good with side button placement and they hit the sweet spot again.
I can not attest to battery life but marketing says 2 years on one AA battery. No reason to doubt that considering Logitech's track record.
The scrolling is smooth and accurate. Glide of the mouse is excellent. It seems to work on most none clear surfaces.
So far I have used BT with Windows (10 and 11), Chromebook (Chrome OS) and Android. All have been spot on and perfect. With the dongle I have used on Chrome OS and Windows 11. Absolutely no issues anywhere. To switch between BT and dongle just hit the pair button while the dongle is powered.
This is a solid full sized mouse that feels good in hand but is not oversized. A large hand claw grip may cause some cramping in the palm. Definitely recommended, this is yet another solid design from Logitech.

Great Headphones Period

Sound quality for these headphones are on par with their wired counterparts. Sound controls are inline and well placed for easy access.
The microphone performs much better than I expected, people I have talked to on the phone said I was clear and could not tell I was using a mic. The mic is built into the inline controls.
The ear pieces are quite comfortable and light. The base/receiver the ear tips extend from are rounded and smooth to avoid rubbing against your outer ear. As with most headphones you will get various sized options for ear size and comfort.
Inline controls are on the right hand side about 3 inches from the right headphone. The inline controls require some force to adjust volume, so you will not accidentally change volume. The power button, status lights and USB port are all on the right hand headpiece. All call controls, volume, etc are in the inline controller.
Battery life has been quite good. My initial usage points to about 12 hours battery life based on the Bose Connect app battery status, packaging claims 6 hours. There is built in battery savings for auto power off that can be adjusted in the app.
Speaking of the Bose Connect App, available in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. The app is very basic and straightforward on Android. Open the app, it will prompt for you to turn on the headphones. Pair. Done. The App is not required unless you plan on making setting changes, such as default voice prompt language or auto power down options.
My only concern is the USB port cover, it is rubber and feels well built, tight fit and strong, but I fear this could easily get broken off the headphoness.
Packaging includes the headphones, Bose headphone case, 12 inch standard micro USB cable, (1) large and (1) small replacement ear tips, manuals and warranty information.
In the included photos I have a US Quarter and a AA size battery for reference for the size of the buds.

Just a quick update: The App has been updated to include these headphones. Still very basic, but the App on Android will allow you to control which two devices the headphones are connected to. Obviously you would keep the phone connected to control switching, but the app will allow you to control which device the headphones. This makes an easy switch from laptop to tablet to work laptop, etc. This control is under the Bluetooth button after the headphones connect to the phone.

Cut The Cord with AirTV Player. Stream movies, TV, music and other content using a wide range of apps, including Netflix, SlingTV, Google Play and many more from the Google Play Store all with AirTV Player. AirTV’s streaming platform integrates local over-the-air (OTA) programming with your streaming services. The AirTV Adapter and an OTA antenna provide local channels like ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX, without a monthly cable bill.

Does this require an Internet connection to use? I just want to receive analog ota tv programs and Bluetooth connectivity.

In order to log into Sling, you will require internet access. Even though you can have a free Sling account, you still need to log in for any functions to work.

I’m confused. How/ where does it get ota channels? Is there an antenna that comes with it? Similar to the digital antenna I use now for local channels? Or does it get the local ota channels and stream to device via the internet?

Your current antenna will screw into the back of the AirTV, it has a coax port on the back.
