USB to Serial for configuring console based equipm

I needed to configure some older equipment that only has serial console access. I did a "buy on-line" and pickup in store to get in and out quick. The lady behind the counter does't understand that this process is done to get in and out quickly as she was very pre-occupied lolligagging with her colleague.
This item works great under MAC OS X, however you will need to go out and grab the correct driver. It is available here: http://www.insigniaproducts.com/products/computer-speakers-accessories/NS-PU99501.html
Then check out this gent's write up for some other terminal options: http://pbxbook.com/other/mac-ser.html#serial
