Way overpriced for a CARS game...
on June 22, 2017

This game is little different from the others that preceeded it. Adequate graphics, sometimes annoying controls, limited gameplay, just sub-par in every respect when reviewed as a $59 game. Fortunately I am a game club member, so got a good chunk of the price taken off, and used reward zone points to lessen the cost even more.
If my son wasn't such a huge Pixar Cars fan, I never would spend this much money for such a mediocre kids game. This game may earn 4 stars had it cost $25 or under, but not at sixty bucks.
Graphics are alright but hardly worth bragging about, but it seems that the controls are even worse than they were in the first Cars game. The races have a little variety, and the free play area is a nice change of pace. I do miss the challenge of finding all the postcards and such from the first game though, things you could do as a single player in more of a campaign mode style setting. There are no such things here other than tricks, which is where it really just loses the replay value.
If you get it on sale, it may be worth it, but don't pay full price for this, it's a total ripoff at that price point.

Tried to replace a bad Denon 2300 with this

I had a new Denon 2300 that had a bad input, so I tried this instead since it was less expensive and on sale to boot. I even wrote a review, but I don't know where that ended up, it's gone somehow. I gave it 5 stars, but the last few days it's failing. I need two HDMI outputs since I have both a 4K HDR TV and a 1080p Projector. And for the last week or so, the HDMI inputs keep failing. Suddenly projector will go to "searching for input" and even the TV won't work again. Changing inputs, no joy, power cycling, nothing. Unit is barely even warm, so it's not overheating. Just all HDMI output dies. Next day usually it works again. Fortunately the Denon 2300 is on sale now for a couple hundred less than normal, so I'll give that another try, and hope I get one wtih all HDMI inputs working. This clearly just wasn't designed well. And web searches show that this has apparently been something that has plagued them for years, although supposedly people said that last year they overcame the issue. But this unit is proof that they didn't...

It works

I picked this up when I got a new washer, to replace a 12 year old front loading LG pair I had. Loved them, they worked great, never had any problem, and they still work great. But I became enamored of the pre-wash sink feature in the washer that's the other half of this, so obviously I needed to get a new dryer as well then.
This installed about as easy as any other I've done, the only odd thing was the water line. Fortunately for me, even though the water line isn't included, the people who delivered it had a new one that they had opened for testing on another install they did this week, so they gave me that, saving me the trouble of having to run to get something so I could hook this up.
Leveling it was quick and painless. I spent more time pulling off the protective film and all the tape than I did hooking up the gas and water and vent and leveling.
It's not too loud, about the same noise level, maybe a little less, than the LG I replaced. I like the vent check test it will do to confirm that air flow is adequate for it to function.
The door can easily be set to flip the other way, but since I have to have this to the right of the washing machine due to how the vent is on the far left side, and there's no way to get the dryer on THAT side without having a vent hose twisted up like a worm on a hook, the default opening from the left is what I need.
It works well. I still haven't tried the steam options being a single father with one son, so our laundry needs are pretty simplistic. It dries about the same speed as my front loading LG dryer did. I see it adjusts a bit too for when it senses things aren't quite dry yet, and it adds more time to the estimated time remaining.
The one complaint I can make would be that I used to love being able to set stuff on top of my washer and dryer, since they're in the laundry room that is the entrance to my house from my garage. They'd accumulate things on top of them until I figured out where some things needed to be kept. With the slope on these, I can't do that anymore. But they look gorgeous and function well, which is more important than being able to store things on top of them. Maybe it'll force me to be less cluttered ;)
And I can't turn on "wrinkle care" *after* the fact. For example, start the dryer, have like 10 minutes left, and need to run somewhere for something. I'd like to be able to simply press the button so it keeps things randomly tumbling until i return home and can pull them out, but it doesn't allow that. Why, I have no idea, since to me it seems something that OUGHT to be able to just be pressed at any time. Fortunately you don't have to STOP the cycle and start a new one, simply pressing "Pause" is enough to let you turn on Wrinkle Care, then un-pause, and it continues right where it left off.
All told, I'm satisfied with it. Things get dry, there's a lot of options here, more than I'll likely ever use, but as with the washer, there are a few there that would just be handy to have if the need arises. Looks really nice in my laundry room, so I can't complain.

Love this thing

I picked this up more out of curiosity than need. I had a 12 year old LG front loading washer and dryer that worked perfectly still. But I had already replaced my over the range microwave, my stove, and my fridge, so I thought I'd just keep going and refresh all my major appliances.
The sink option for pre-treating things really intrigued me, since I have a 13 year old son with ADD, and he never seems to pay much attention to what he's doing, such as wiping his mouth with his sleeve and getting things stained. I have pre-treatment bottles of things, sprays, and even the pens, but usually we just don't bother since there's not a good place to do things like that so stuff can soak before a wash. I figured even if I didn't NEED a new washer and dryer, this was a feature I would use the heck out of so that alone justified it for me.
Compared to my front load LG, this thing is insanely quiet. I have this in a laundry room off the main hallway, and from where I sit in my great room, it's about 25 feet to my right, with the room they sit in right off of it to the left, door open. Not far at all. I'm used to the sounds from the LG, so with this one, I had to keep going in there the first few times I did laundry to make sure things were still actually running. About the only thing I can hear even with it less than 30 feet away and the door to that room open is the pump when it's emptying the tub. Even the spin cycle is far quieter than the LG, which I actually thought was very quiet as well anyway...
It's deep. I'm 6'1" tall, and even with what my mom called my "orangutan arms" it can be a reach to get things out of the very bottom. This will be the biggest thing for me to get used to, since it was so easy to get things out of the front loader. But what I won't miss, is that the front loader had to be left open so it would dry out inside. That one simple thing kept me from ever having to deal with mold or mildew or that musty smell everyone else with front loaders always seem to complain about. To me it was common sense, leave it open, let things evaporate, no nasty junk. But most of them closed the door when not in use, too. I used to take a piece of masking tape, stick the tape to the side by the edge of the door that opens, and then stick it to the door, so it would be in the almost closed position, and stay out of our way since this laundry room is off the garage, the entrance we use whenever we come or leave the house. And that worked fine, but the tape would come off sometimes, and I'd walk in, open the garage door into the house, and THUMP, whack the washer door that had come open while I was gone. Annoying, and something I don't have to deal with now. For this one, I see that if you open just the top, leave the sink in place, then set the top down, it stays a little open, doesn't latch, and that will give me plenty of evaporation without having to deal with tape and junk anymore.
My problem is that positioned where they are, the discharge hose is too short. I made it work barely, but there's no hook shape to it, I couldn't use that little piece of plastic to make that U shape to hang it into the hole in the wall. They conveniently give you a zip strip to secure it to the water outlets though, so I have it in place that way.
But it was very easy to hook up since all the things are on top in the back, easy to reach when you have it pushed into place.
Controls are simple, I like that they're not "bubble" buttons like my LG was, but just touch sensors. So I never have to press, I never have a missed button press - they just work. The weirdest thing for me to get used to is holding that start button for a second to get it to kick off, rather than just touching it and walking away. And there's the delay as it wiggles things back and forth for a few minutes before it throws any water in there. Something else to get used to, since my LG would start spitting water instantly as soon as I pressed the button to start and it locked the door.
The "finished" song is cute but not very loud.
Clothes came out clean, and the spin gets them as water free as my LG ever did, even just on the high spin speed. I haven't tried the highest yet. I love the quick wash option, since if we don't have things that are visibly dirty, that worked well on the LG also and I used it frequently. I may never use half the options they have here but at least if I need to, I can.
But this sink - it was my justification for buying it, and it rocks. It really does. My son gets BBQ sauce or something on his shirt, it's awesome to toss some water in that sink with the little spigot on the side, get some stain remover going, and work it out, and let it sit in here, not wasting space in my bathroom sink (where I used to have to do this junk when I bothered), until I do laundry. I love, love LOVE this feature.
The big concern I initially had was the water sloshing sound when it was done, and I'd move the inner tub. But some digging online showed that this was probably the balance ring - which fills with water. I've got no musty smell, so I'm going to assume that this is the source of the sloshing until something else, like odor, leads me to think it's not draining all the way. There's no water in the inner tub, so the balance ring seems the likely culprit for now.
All told, other than the quiet song when finished, there's really nothing I can complain about with this so far. If something comes up I'll update my review, but as it stands, this thing is about as perfect as a washing machine can be for me until they have a robot system that gets the stuff out of the basket and then into the dryer when done as well...

Love it but top of doors doesn't seal right
on February 19, 2017

This thing is absolutely dead silent. It never makes a noise, other than when I finally was curious about the icemaker, and turned on the icemaker function. Then I could hear it slightly when the ice cubes dropped. But it's horrendously SLOW - I turned it on before bed one night, about midnight or so, and it was about 7 AM I heard the first cubes hit the container. Almost 48 hours later, I still only have the single layer on the bottom of the ice container. Not even a second layer piled up yet in 2 days. So don't rely on this icemaker for anything like parties, it's WAY too slow. Even the 12 year old Kenmore Elite it replaced made ice way, way faster than this.
My other concern is the seal. Where the doors both close at top, near that small cut out slit for the folding part of the left door, each side's seal bulges out slightly as if they're supposed to meet and overlap. But they don't meet. So I can actually see this slit in the plastic where the folding part goes, and when you open the door and look, there's nothing else in there to keep cold in or warm out, so that 1/4" gap is literally a hole straight into the fridge. Seems poor engineering on their part that they can't even seal the fridge shut completely. Still trying to find out if this is an intentional design feature for some reason, that it has to maintain some way to flow air from in to out or something. You can literally see the light coming through this with the doors closed before the lights turn off.
I was originally looking at a GE fridge because I liked the LED lights down in the crisper drawer area that they explicitly showed, it wasn't lit just from on top like this looked. I was pleased to find that this also has LED's on each side of the fridge in the crisper area, so they are well lit too. No photos I saw anywhere revealed that feature, so I wanted to mention it specifically since it was one of the things that almost decided me against this unit.
I didn't want one this wide, since I knew it was going to be a squeeze. But my area was a hair over 36" wide, so I knew it SHOULD fit, but what I wasn't sure about, and what caused me problems, were the wheels and the base. My other fridge had wheels slightly more inside, so the baseboard wasn't an issue. But this one apparently doesn't have any forgiveness at the bottom - the shoe molding had to be ripped out, and it's still kind of squeezed in there... I probably should've pulled off the entire baseboard piece but left it was it was since it was in and appeared level without us having to do any adjustments with it.
I can't stress how quiet this thing is. Amazing compared to my last one, which didn't make much noise either, and I always thought was very quite, but compared to this, wasn't as quiet as it could've been...
I like the wide pull out deli drawer on the bottom, that was actually the feature that made me pick this despite the apparent lack of LED lights in the crisper area. I love it for the lunch meat, cheese, and such. We get shrimp sometimes, which since we're in Wisconsin is usually frozen, so it is a good place to defrost that as well, although I still have to play some with the temp adjustment to find what works best for what.
Freezer compartment is decent, but I wish there had been a way to remove the icemaker part, since you lose a chunk of space on that top left shelf because of it, and since we usually had the water turned off and didn't use the icemaker, for us it's simply lost space. But it's just me and my son, so it wasn't as if suddenly we couldn't fit food anymore. And the space lost is actually less than I lost with the old fridge's unused icemaker. I kind of miss having the separate area on the door that I used to have, since that, with a shelf inside my old top freezer fridge, gave me three separate areas I could organize my food into, but we're learning to adapt to having to deal with a sliding shelf to get at stuff in the bottom of the freezer. It's a bit more of a pain, but we use the freezer maybe 1% of the time if you simply count how many times we are opening each door. For me, having all the fridge stuff easily accessible at waist level or higher, no bending down to get something out of the back of the bottom shelf all the time, makes the freezer inconvenience well worth it. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes even just going in for a bottle of juice or iced tea.
There is so much more room in here than the one we replaced, it looked naked and empty after we moved all the foot into it from the old fridge, which looked pretty averagely filled.
I still have to find the right adjustments for the shelves for our use, I haven't changed them from the default yet, since the doors have so much storage for large things, we haven't had to get much in the shelves yet that wouldn't fit the standard layout.
I like the quick slide shelf though that you can adjust so it slides back, and leaves a temporary tall spot for something on the lower shelf to fit higher than it could. I had that in the fridge I replaced, where I kept my iced tea jugs. Not so critical now though with the space on the doors.
The one thing I miss is a place for my eggs and butter.
The outside is definitely a fingerprint magnet, so get one of the nice microfiber cloths for stainless steel and the cleaning stuff specifically for it.
All told, other than the gap I haven't figured out yet leaving a hole directly into the fridge uncovered, and the insanely slow ice maker, this is a sweet, sweet fridge. If it weren't for the hole I haven't figured out, I'd give it 5 stars.

Works and looks great

I needed something to replace a white stove I got as a "placeholder" less than a year ago. The stove I replaced was more like this, 5 burners, grates across the whole top, and the temp unit I purchased when it failed was just a standard 4 burner with these nasty burners that wouldn't even sit flat.
I finally decided to take advantage of the sales over the holidays and loved the looks of this. My entire house had white appliances, so this was the first step to stainless steel, and I knew it would spur me further (and indeed it did, less than 6 weeks later I've replaced everything in the house).
I love the looks. The stainless and black make this look just superb in my kitchen. I don't have complex needs, being a single parent of my son, so we're pretty basic people when it comes to cooking. But I use my stovetop to store my two most used items, a 12 inch skillet, and a 12 inch wok, so having the grates cover the entire surface make this a much easier thing to do, as I'm not limited to just the four corners to put something. The burners work great, light quickly, and I love having the long one in the middle again, since that works great under my rectangular cast iron pancake sheet.
I like that the oven actually shows me the temp as it's preheating, so I can see how close I am. I've never had that before.
The one thing I would complain about is the brightness of the LED for the clock. In the night, it's like a night light, and I wish it was toned down like the microwave above it is. And the rear of the racks in the oven tip upwards, which annoys me for some of my pans, since they won't sit flat now as they would normally rest the full length of the stove in my previous one, but this one won't let them. So I have to be careful depending on what I'm cooking and what sheet I'm using. Usually it's not an issue since I can put pans in there so they go left to right for the long direction, but when doing things like jerky when I have several pans on each shelf, I have to have them lengthwise front to back, and they are just a little too long for this rack to sit flat now, compared to the previous stoves.
But the oven holds a temp well, makes my cooking and baking as easy as it can be, and for a single dad, that's critical. I'm no gourmet... And it looks spectacular while being functional, and having picked it up on sale, I can't complain.

When you’re cooking for company, you need a microwave that starts out looking good—and stays looking good. LG’s 2.2 cu. ft. microwave handles that family-sized casserole, and looks good doing it, with sleek, intuitive SmoothTouch controls located on the front of the stylish glass door. Cleanup? It’s a breeze, thanks to EasyClean interior’s stain-resistant technology. And with the enhanced ventilation of ExtendaVent 2.0, you don’t just have a microwave—you have more.

Great upgrade to my LG LMVM2075SW
on January 13, 2017
Posted by: JDThird
from Wisconsin
I needed to upgrade my microwave when I got a new stove. Since I went with black and stainless steel on the stove, the white microwave had to go. I've had it for over 8 years now, and it's worked flawlessly for me all this time.
I picked the LG's again because I liked the "extenda vent" feature. I almost always am using just a front burner, so much of what I'd want to funnel outside (my microwave vents to the exterior) was missed my the "normal" microwave. I had seen the video tests of this, and liked how much more it would suck up.
People talked about the noise of the vent - I'm actually shocked that anyone would think this was loud. The microwave I had prior to my almost 9 year old LG and my 9 year old LG were, on the lowest settings, as loud as this thing on turbo. The noise level for this one for me is about as nonexistent as you can get.
The light is alright, but I really wish there were two, one towards each side, to get a better spread of light on the stove underneath. As it is, at least it's not any worse than I had with my old microwave. But I had hoped for an improvement, just didn't get one for that.
I also lost part of my "moving food" inside. My old microwave not only rotated, but also slid side to side. This one is strictly rotating. I've not noticed any real difference though as far as getting food cooked goes.
I love the look - but the buttons are a bit tougher to press than the old one. Sometimes the light takes a few pushes to get it to "read" the press. I think I'm just still not used to pressing a little harder for these buttons, so I may be "soft fingering" it too much. I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Otherwise for cooking, it works well. Again, I don't see any real improvement over what I already had as far as that goes, but my old one was an 1100 watt LG, about the same size, and did a comparable job.
The finish is a magnet for fingerprints and hand oil though, I"ll have to find a good cleaner that's safe for stainless use. Will need one anyway for the stove, and the fridge as that's also being replaced with stainless...
Someone had commented about how this one, compared to what she had, made it harder to see the back burners or the control panel of her stove. Since I"m over 6' 1", I was concerned with that. But I can stand in front of my stove, and this doesn't block ANYTHING, even the top of the stove's panel. Either she was a basketball player who had to duck when walking into her garage, or the mounting point for the microwave was way lower than it's supposed to be. This had no impact on me at all as far as being able to see the stove.
I picked this up on sale, and for the price, I'm very pleased. I love the looks, I like the better air flow with the extendavent, and I love how much quieter the fans are on here.

Makes such a difference

I wasn't sure how much impact these would make. I already loved my oculus, and I knew these would make it more immersive, but I was not prepared for HOW immersive it makes it.
The controllers are well designed with only one thing I don't like. The good - ergonomic. They fit so well in the hand. Buttons are at natural positions and feel fine. Even when you have it dangling from the strap and kind of "flip" it up to get it into your hand, it just falls into place. The buttons and everything are easy to "find." And the graphic of your hand around it - tracking is amazing, you would swear they were YOUR hands.
The battery compartment is well done - single AA, and the cover slides off WITHOUT any annoying tabs that snap into place, it uses magnets to hold it in place. Brilliant.
The only thing I don't like - I would've preferred something around the back of the hand, to slide into, to HOLD it in place. It's a bit of an annoyance and breaks some of the immersion how you have to keep two fingers wrapped around it all the time, especially when throwing, and muscle memory wants to be able to let the fingers all go relaxed.
But that is the only complaint I can possibly come up with. The demo that they have with the robot and the 3d printer is brilliant, and it's amazing how everything just feels so NATURAL.
You get another sensor with these, and you can set up to do more of a "room VR" although that oculus cord to the headset is a bummer. I need to see if there's an extension available for that, for real room sized immersion.
Worth every penny.

Replaced a new LG with this one
on December 11, 2016
Posted by: JDThird
from Wisconsin
After picking up a newer Xbox One S, I realized my less than 2 year old HDTV had to go, as it was 4K but not HDR. I first got an LG, since I wanted to persist the 3D option, bu the LG had serious issues with light bleed and some bizarre problems with the right 1/5th of the screen, so I took it back. Looking around, I ended up finding this to be the best option short of OLED, and when I sat back and thought about it, I almost never used the 3D to watch movies anyway. My 13 year old son hated it since it was difficult with his glasses anyway, to wear other glasses over them. So I decided I'd ditch the unused 3D side of things for a better overall TV and price.
Got this home, and was MUCH happier with this than the LG. Picture is crisp and clear, HDR and non HDR. I only have two HDR 4k discs so far since I only bought the TV's two days ago, so I've got The Secret Life of Pets and The Martian.
This was a bit of a pain since there's no normal "Menu" button and options all under there. It took me a while and a few internet searches to discover just WHERE to actually enable the HDR option, since if you go off of one place, you can turn on an HDR kind of mode, but that is NOT actually enabling HDR on the input. That's in ANOTHER spot I never would've looked, since when you hit that button, you see all the apps and junk. So until I hit the internet and found that you have to go to "HOME" and then go down past all the apps to get to yet ANOTHER hidden settings area, where you can enable the different HDMI setting, I never would've known.
But once I did that, the Xbox stopped nagging me about being connected to a "suitable" TV, and I tried both of my discs.
And I was VERY happy with the result compared to that LG I had for a few hours.
And even in a brighter mode, I have none of the light bleed on the edges that I was getting with the LG, and that weird thing the LG did with my Destiny logo as I loaded something doesn't happen here.
Video gaming is fine, no lag, and looks great. I have everything going through a Denon receiver that supports HDCP 2.2 and HDMI 2.0 so I'm only using the single HDMI input on the TV. My receiver switches between my Xbox 360, Xbox One S, PS3, PS4, WII U, Media Center PC, Amazon 4k Fire TV box, and cable box. All look great, since both the receiver and the TV would upscale non 4k items to make them look a little better.
This thing cost a grand less than the Samsung I'm replacing in the Great room cost just 22 months ago, is 5 inches larger, and has HDR. Even not considering the price, I've never had a better TV. But for this price? Simply amazing. And unlike that LG, I don't have that ugly silver bezel around the front , it's back to a thin black bezel.
I also like the narrow base, since I have a few black shelf slabs I stacked under my old TV to raise it up a bit off of the stand so that my speakers and such didn't get in the way of the picture. So this stand fits on them, unlike the LG stand that was too wide.

Returned due to excessive light bleed on top

I picked this up since the 4K TV I had purchased a year and a half ago didn't support HDR, and I was tired of my Xbox One S nagging me. I looked around and wanted to maintain my 3d capability, so this was the one I chose to replace my Samsung.
The product description was "Silver and Black" yet mine was silver on the front bezel, and all white on the back - no black to be found anywhere. The assembly was simple, although one of the screws for the stand assembly wouldn't go in far enough to prevent scratching the surface below the stand, so I left that one screw out. That piece is attached by 5 screws though, so I wasn't worried about support.
After so many years of small black or nearly bezel-less TV's, I found the silver all around the front edge to be a bit distracting. Setup was easy though, and it integrated fine into my AV setup and my Harmony remote.
The picture looked good, but I wasn't as pleased with the HDR as I had been on some other sets I had seen, but my biggest issue was across the top, there was just so much light bleed, it was like little white arcs from spotlights shining down. I've seen that even on my Samsung TV's when in torch mode, but I did not have things cranked up, and even in eco mode with darker brightness settings and non HDR, it was way too distracting in dark scenes.
Even playing Destiny, there was a very odd flare on the right side as the "loading" logo animated. That entire last 1/5th of the screen would grow a little brighter and darker as that small icon on the lower right animated. I have never seen that response on any other TV or even projector I'd used to play Destiny. It was as if that entire vertical swath was all being controlled by that little icon at the bottom.
All told there were just too many issues so I returned it the next day.

When I got the surface pro, I was disappointed in the klunky power supply. Has a separate power cord to go from the power supply to the wall, and I like this one, designed more like the Macbook Pro power supplies I'm used to these last three years. So when I saw the lower power one for the RT, and verified from the MS documentation that it will work with the Pro, I decided to get a couple of them so I could leave chargers at work and at home, and have one for the bag.
The charger physically is smaller, and the only length you lose is that extra power cable needed from the brick to the outlet on the larger version - the cable from the brick to the Surface is the same length. And in most cases the lack of that extra foot or so of other cable is offset since this one doesn't have to then drop to the ground since that's where the larger power supply has to sit. With the cable coming straight off the wall at home using this one, I have the same reach since I don't have the power supply getting pulled down by gravity to sit on the floor under the power supply (or being forced to be suspended in mid-air).
I wasn't too concerned with it taking longer to charge the surface since I'm generally near an outlet if I need to use one, but my testing has proven that it's not even a concern. It took my Surface Pro just under 2.5 hours with the supplied larger power supply to recharge from the couple percent "won't turn on anymore" point to a full 100% battery. When I tried it again with the RT smaller power supply, it took me the same amount of time. I haven't done any testing yet on the tablet in use while charging, since that may be the scenario where it doesn't charge as fast, but that's not a concern for me anyway since in that situation I'd have power supplied to it regardless of which supply I am using so if it charged faster or slower wouldn't be an issue for me.
So for the fact that it charges a sleeping Pro just as fast as the original larger power supply while having a much smaller and easily carried form factor, this is a definite win.

If you're referring to the smaller 24w one that this review was SUPPOSED to be posted to, then yes, it does work with the pro, and for me, both charge it from empty to full in just under 2.5 hours, same speed regardless of which supply I use when it's turned off and charging. Haven't tested speeds to compare when in use and charging though.

By JDThird from Wisconsin

Another nice bit

Can't seem to edit an existing review, but remembered another nice point about this for my circumstance - the rear bracket was still the same, and even the size of the microwave was identical, so I didn't have to remove the old bracket to get this hung.

Give your laundry room a modern update with this Samsung large-capacity gas dryer. The Multi-Steam technology reduces wrinkles, odors and bacteria from your clothing, and the 12 drying cycles let you choose the right setting for all your clothes, towels and linens. With its sleek control panel, this Samsung large-capacity gas dryer makes doing laundry easy.

What parts are needed to setup the steam on the dryer? They included a "gas dryer install kit" with purchase but I don't know if it comes with everything. Can someone list the parts needed so I can buy them in advance before they come to do the install?

You likely already know the answer after all this time, so I'm putting a reply here in case someone else comes across the question while shopping. It doesn't come with a gas dryer install kit by default, that's an extra, so if someone included it for you, they won't necessarily include it for anyone else.

For the steam part, you simply need a short piece of hosing. This ships with a Y fitting to split the cold water faucet into two and a short (12" or less) hose piece in case you need to use that from the cold water feed and then put the Y splitter at the end, but that still won't be enough to reach the inlet on the dryer, which is on the very bottom right (when looking from the back). So you'll need a piece of hose that's male on one side, female on the other, and will get you the rest of the way to the floor level to reach the inlet on the dryer. No specific part needed, although as with anything, it's always good to use the steel lines to help prevent a rupture in the line. the piece of hose they give with it is a standard rubber hose section, not braided metal sheathing or anything.

Keep your groceries fresher by chilling or freezing them faster with this Samsung refrigerator. The Power Cool and Power Freeze options allow you to conveniently lower the temperature in the fridge or freezer within minutes.

Do the temperature gauges represent the actual temperature inside? or just a desired temperature? Is it possible to use these as actual operating temperature of refrigerator.

Actually it shows both. When you push the button to adjust the temp, it will show your desired setting. Otherwise the default is showing actual temp when you open the doors.

Does this refrigerator hold magnets on the door?

Yes, front doors will hold magnets, but not as strongly as the sides do.

Is it okay to if I don't hook this up with the water line to make ice? We don't use ice often and I've read that ice makers may cause flooding sometimes so I prefer to deactivate it.

Yes, any fridge with ice or water, does not have to be hooked up. I usually hook them up, then just turn off the lever under the sink for the feed to the fridge, so it can't flood if I"m gone, and turn it on only if I need to use the icemaker for something.

Does the clock stay on all the time or does the Energy Saver turn it off? If so, can this be disabled so the clock will stay on all the time?

Instructions say it can be on or off. Mine was on all the time by default, and you can use the energy button then to set it to be off by default if you desire.

how long is the cord and where on micro is it located

It's about 2 feet long, and is located, when looking "down" and standing in "front", on the top right quarter of the microwave, a bit off to the side of the top vent.

I saw this marked on the back of this TV: [SVC only} What is this mean? Thanks!

Could be a service only port, that's specifically there to do things like upload firmware directly with a USB stick or something, in case downloading it to the TV via the internet has issues
