This cordless phone system comes with 4 handsets and can be expanded up to 5 handsets for placement around your home. The call-waiting caller ID conveniently displays the name and number of incoming calls, so you know who it is before answering.

Great product - good quality

I have only had this phone and answering machine for about a month but, thus far, I could not be happier. Having four sets added a level of convenience around the house.
I get good reception at least to 400 feet away from the house. That is just as far as I have gone - the actual usable distance could be considerably further.
The price was great, the set up was quick and easy and the sound quality seems great.
The only thing that might make this phone set even more convenient would be a clip that could allow a user to clip the phone to a belt for outside, hands free carry. The phone is slim enough to fit into a pant pocket, however I worry about inadvertant button activation and, at 6 inches long, it can be awkward in a pocket.
What's great about it: Price, range and quality.
What's not so great: nothing known at this point.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Suggestion what to buy

I have a Vonage service, what kind of telephone I need to buy in order to get a very good signal an reception.
Edith,

Any phone will work with your Vonage service. I have VOIP also and I have used three different phone make/manufacturer's and I have experienced no difference at all.

What is the difference between the Vtech Model CS6229-2 and the Model: VT-LS6205 | SKU: 9297575 or Model: VT-DS6201 | SKU: 9297628 or the

Model: CS6209 | SKU: 9176152
Ann, I just replaced my V-tech phones with motorola phones at virtually the same price. The Motorola phone and answering machine is much better quality at a price that isn't much more than the Vtech line.

I had the Vtech answering machine with 3 handsets that I purchased at Wal-Mart for about $ 55.00 a year ago. One heated up when it charged, they did not hold a charge well, you could not have two people using different handets and both talking on the phone at the same time, etc. No such problems with the Motorola.
