Good cheap printer for basic printing

I got this printer on sale to replace a more expensive HP printer that the paper kept jamming up on me. This printer works much better, a little slower printing but it's a budget printer. I like that the ink cartridges are pretty cheap compared to many other printers. It only uses 2 ink cartriges unlike some others that use 4 or 5. I got this at BB on sale so it was quite a bargain. It was easy to setup and comes with Wi-Fi, but I didn't set that up, I'm using the USB cable. If all you need is basic printing this is a good printer. It was more simple to setup than any privous printer I've had. I haven't used all the features yet but I'm very satisfied with this printer.

Blu-Ray Players Have Really Improved

I just bought the Sony Smart 3D Blu-Ray Player BDPS5100 here at Best Buy last week for my bedroom, and got this Panasonic player yesterday for my main hookup in my livingroom.. I'm replacing an 5 yr old Samsung Blu-Ray Player. The new players all seem to be a heck of a step up in features, and speed of operation over older players. I have a Panasonic Plasma HD TV so I got this player to interact with it. I must say I'm impressed with this player as well as my new Sony Blu-Ray player. Blu-Ray Players have come along way from just a few years ago. I don't see much difference in either one of my new players far as picture quality and speed of use, both are excellant. The only gripe I have with this Panasonic player is the included online apps for streaming...Netfix, Hula Plus, etc. Only 6 apps come with this player while my new Sony player included almost a 100. It connected to the internet through Wi-Fi quick and easy....process was much better than my old Samsung player. Had only a slight learning curve, I setup this player without looking at the instruction manual.. I like the fact it interacts with my Panasonic HD TV,. It has ample hookup options.... HDMI, USB Port, Ethernet Port, etc.. I can work both the TV and player either with the players remote, or my Tv remote. It loads Blu-Ray and DVD dics very fast. Regular DVD discs looks almost as good as Blu-Ray, the upconvert quality is very good. It notified me of a firmwear update right after I connected to the internet and the update installed very fast. Best Buy has this deck on sale this week, so It's a heck of a bargain at a very reasonable price. My only disappointment with this player is the limited streaming apps. Streaming content from the internet was one of my reasons for purchasing this player. Other than that I think this a good player. Reasonable price, Excellent picture quality, excellent operation speed, ease of use, little learning curve. This player makes my 5 yr. old Samsung player look and feel very old and dated.. I give this player a thumbs up...way up.

I got this memory card on sale at Best Buy when I bought my Canon VIXIA HF R40 HD Camcorder. I got a good deal on this Ultra Card, over 60% off. I needed a high capacity memory card for my Camcorder because I use the highest recording speed and setting, and HD eats up a lot of GB of space on a card. I can get over 5 hrs of record time with this card. I would like to get an SanDisk Extreme Memory Card, but the 64 GB card was not on sale. I will get one when I catch them on sale. Not much to say about this product, the name Sandisk speaks for itself....the best brand in the business.. I have over 20 memory cards and flash drives and most of them are SanDisk. Have'nt had one fail on me yet. It works as advertsed and to my expectations.

I just picked up this Vac from the BB store today and wanted to write a review right away. I got this Vac at best Buy on sale, but it's worth every bit of the regular price. I had already vacuumed my carped with my old Vac, and could not believe how much more dirt this Vac picked up. This Vac is amazing at how well it cleaned my carped and floors. I like the auto brush height feature, and how simple it is to use with/without the attachment. I also like the fact that I can turn the brush motor off, it has it's own on/off button.....separate from the Vac on/off button. The dirt container comes off easy for quick emptying. I only wish it as bigger as I wouldn't have to dump the dirt out so often. But that's not enough to over rule all the other plus's this Vac has. In fact I would'nt judge that as a knock on this Vac, only an inconvience. Everything worked as advertised and I'm very pleased with this purchase. I had read the reviews here before I decided on this one, and I agree with all the high marks on this Vac. I give this product 5 stars...would give 6 stars if I could, and a hearty thumbs up.

This is my 6th Honeywell air purifier I've bought over the years. I've always been happy with Honeywell purifiers and this one has not disappointed. I got this purifier this past Sunday at best Buy on sale, which makes it quite a bargain. It cleans the air very good and is very quiet even on the highest speed. I've had other Honeywell models over years that were much louder. It comes with 2 pre-filters...one washable, the other you have to replace. The replaceable pre-filter has special odor cleaning properties and I used it to make sure I got the smells and cigarette smoke out of the air. It has to be replaced about every 3 months. I put the washable filter up for safe keeping till I need it. I didn't notice the plastic smell many have reported, but maybe it's just my nose, I dunno.
I had a slightly smaller 170 sq. ft. Honeywell purifier in my livingroom that I moved to my bedroom, and replaced it in my livingroom with this one. This one cleans a slightly larger area of 225 sq. ft. which is better in my livingroom. I use this larger purifier and the other purifier in my bedroom on the 2nd speed and they do a good job all through the apt. They both are energy star rated and use little electricity which is another plus. Both have permanate washable filters that only have to be rinsed every other month or so. I have not ever had any of the noise, rattling problems, or failed rotating motor others have reported.....but I never use the oscillation feature in any of my purifiers. I see no need for that. If I need to circulate the air in my room I use the ceiling fan. And the apt. air conditioner fan, and the furnace fan, also does that. All in all I love this product and think it a good bargain at Best buy on sale. I certainly am a believer in Honeywell purifiers and think they make a great product. I have 3 Honeywell purifiers right...a small one put up.... and none of their products have failed me. I give this purifier a hearty thumbs up.

Good flash drive

I got this drive on sale here at Best Buy. I wanted to try the new USB3 drives and I have USB3 ports on 2 laptops. The speed is not super fast, but faster than USB2. It's a SanDisk and I think they are the best drives and SD cards, bar none. Not much more I can say except I'd like a few more....It's a flash drive after all. Transfer rates with this drive is pretty good.

I purchased this SSD Drive on sale here at BB. It was a bargain for the price. I had previously bought 3 other brand SSD's and this Intel is faster than the ones I already have. The 128GB SSD in my main laptop was getting too full, so I upgraded to this 180GB and put the 128GB up for future use or as a backup. I won't mention the brand name of my other drives, but I was surprised that this Intel is faster. I thought all SSD's ran at basically the same speed, but guess I'm wrong. Next SSD I buy I will do better research and compare drive speed. This SSD didn't come with the cable to clone the OS before installing, but I already had 3 sets of those from my other SSD purchase's. It did come with the hardware to adapt for a desktop. It's somewhat thinner than my other SSD's, even thinner than original drive the drive my pc came with..... and comes with a attachment/spacer to fill in the space in the drive bay.

1st of all I got this at BB on sale, but I think it worth the regular price. I originally bought the ICDPX333 for $59.00 (reg. price), and returned it for this one on sale for $65.00, only $5.00 more. The other recorder had a slight glich in the software. This recorder has more features than the PX333. The PX333 came with a basic manual that was very diificult to follow. This one comes with a very good detailed manual that comes with it, along with a CD for the sound organizer (editing software). With the PX333 you have to upload the software and manual to your PC from the recorder itself. I like the fact That I can charge the batt in or out of this recorder. I could also use rechageable batt. in the PX333, but could only charge them out of the recorder with a separate charger. If you remove the batt to charge, after a minute all settings return to default. It's also "stereo" with dual mics. It came with a better quality, longer USB card. Also comes with a carrying case. The sound quality seems to be about the same which is very good. Many of the settings are off by default, and you have to go into the "Detailed Menu" to set & change them. You have to hold the "Disp-Menu" button down, till the Detailed menu comes on screen. There you can toggle through all the settings. If you use any of the scene settings #Lecture, meetings, etc.# all record settings will be auto set, you can't change them. If you want to change mic sensitivity, you can't use any of the scene settings. This recorder comes with 2GB internal flash memory, and it takes added SD cards in the Sd card slot. I put in an 32GB SD card #got at BB on sale# that I use for music, E-books, etc. I use the internal 2GB memory for lectures, meetings, etc. You can easily switch back and forth between internal and external SD flash memory. I also use an accessory cord to plug into the mic/out jack, into my input jack in my car.... and play the sound through my car speakers. Most newer cars have aux and USB inputs.
There was a small learning curve with this recorder, but it usually is for me with new gear. But since I'm a simi geek and tech savvy, I catch on to tech gear quick. But this recorder is pretty easy to use and should not be a headache for most people. I can tell you that Sony ups the overall quality of their gear as the price goes up. Better cords, manuals, more features, ease of use, etc. The PX333 was bare bones compared to this one and was only mono. I expect the liability to be excellent and should live up to the Sony rep. I plan to get a mini external mic for this recorder.... maybe a wireless one. It will give me more flexablity in using it. This is an excellent recorder and I will get good use. This is my 1st digital recorder and I'm delighted with the performance. I thought the price too much, but I tried cheaper recorders from other brands, and was not satisfied with their performance. I love this Sony recorder. I usually like most Sony products.
This recorder has performed as advertised and I am very pleased with the results. To get the full benefits you have to go into the "detailed menu" to setup all the options. The included instructions are not clear on how to do this. Many of the features are set by default to off. As a previous reviewer stated this recorder does have "voice activation", It's set by default to off....you have to go into the "detailed" menu to turn it on. I like the fact you can add an SD card. I put in an 8 GB card that I use for music, e-books, etc., and I use the built in 4GB internal memory for voice, meetings, lectures, etc. You can switch between them in the detailed menu. There was a learning curve for me with this Sony product, and I'm a semi geek and very tech savvy. The included instructions leave a lot to be desired. I recommend everyone to download the instruction manual to your Pc, with the included USB cord. You will see much on how to use this product that is omitted in the included instructions. I purchased "Energizer" rechargeable batteries, and I use an outboard charger I already have. You can get batteries and a charger for AAA batteries for about $20.00. The rechargeable batteries will pay for themselves in a short time, especially if you use the recorder a lot. I also intend to purchase a small case to hold the recorder and cords.
I use a Aux. cord that I plug into the earphone/output Jack, then into the AUX input jack in my car. Most newer cars have Aux and USB inputs, and I can play the sound from this recorder through my car speakers. All in all I think this a great product, I didn't give reliability the highest rating because I've never owned a digital recorder before, but since it's a Sony, I expect it to live up to the Sony rep. I didn't give ease of use the highest score because many will be unsatisfied with using this recorder if they don't go to the detailed menu, or are not tech savvy, and don't download the instruction manual. After I figured how to get to the "detailed menu", using this product is a breeze.

I got this laptop about 2 weeks ago, and wanted to take it through the paces before I wrote this review. This Pc is amazing for the price. You can get better ones with more bells, whistles, and performance...but not at this price. Three things that caught my eye right away....it has a "4th generation" i7 processor, has a extra hard drive slot, and accepts up to 32 GB of ram "comes with 8 GB". I see a few poster's have had trouble with the Wi-Fi, and though I could be wrong I suspect windows 8 firewall. 1st thing I did was install a 3rd party firewall and disconnected windows 8 firewall. I have a complex network setup "2 desktops, 3 laptops, printer, streaming movies, tv, etc", and windows firewall seems to get confused by my network setup connections. I was having connection issues till I disabled windows firewall and installed Comodo firewall. Also I uninstalled windows 8 and reinstalled windows 7, from a retail disc that I bought from BB when windows 7 1st came out, "to upgrade a Pc that had windows XP", for a Pc I no longer have. I then put in a hard drive I also bought from BB right after I bought this Pc, to upgrade the H Drive from the 5400 rpm drive it comes with , to a 7200 rpm H Drive. After I installed the drive and installed windows 7, I wiped the drive clean of windows 8, and installed it in the spare bay. Now I have 2 H. Drives. I made the recovery discs "3" of windows 8 before I removed the drive. That way I can always reinstall windows 8 if I ever want to go back to it. Also I made a system Image backup of windows 8, to an external drive, before I removed the H Drive. I must tell you, the performance I'm getting out this laptop is more than I hoped for. These are just a few of the good things I like about this laptop:

2. 750 GB H. Drive "5400 rpm"
3. Spare bay for extra H. Drive.#one can get the new SSD drives and use the drive this comes with for a spare#
4. 1080p screen resolution

There are a few things I don't like about this Pc, the way it comes with some default settings. But that is more about windows 8 than Toshiba. When I 1st tried to boot up into boot option menu, it wouldn't work. The Pc just started normally into windows. I had to go into the BIOS and change things. Also, at 1st, the Pc wouldn't reconizse my other H. Drive so I could format it. Agin, I had to change a default setting in the BIOS. After I did all that, this Pc works as normal. All windows 8 Pc's are set in default for fast bootup. I had to disable this setting in power options to be able to get to boot options on restart, after I changed BIOS settings. Sorry folks for all you guys that like windows 8, it just ain't my cup of tea.
All in all I think this is a good bargain for the price. And now it's on sale, $70.00 less. I'm into the BB store tomorrow for a price adjustment. My performance index rating "system information" is the highest of any Pc I own, or ever have owned.

Any time I want to use this flash drive on a new computer, I have to download the driver onto that computer. I haven't seen a flash drive that wasn't automatically recognized in a while. Windows 7 can't even read it without downloading the drivers. Also, finding the driver on Sandisk's website is not all that easy. The driver is labeled with 98 as if it were a windows 98 driver.

I have no idea what the previous poster is talking about. I'm not sure he's talking about this particular drive. I bought this drive yesterday and I use it like the other 2 flash drives I have. I plug it into my USB port and the drivers install automatically. I'm at a lost about his comment that he has to download the drives online. He must have one of the other models of SanDisk Flash Drives, not this one. My only reget is that It's not a 32GB drive which I intend to get next. Good drive, from a good brand. I do like SanDisk drives. I think they're a cut above most.

All in all I think this a great product, I didn't give reliability the highest rating because I've never owned a digital recorder before, but since it's a Sony, I expect it to live up to the Sony rep. I didn't give ease of use the highest score because many will be unsatisfied with using this recorder if they don't go to the detailed menu, or are not tech savvy, and don't download the instruction manual. After I figured how to get to the "detailed menu", using this product is a breeze.

I'm not sure I understand your question, but I've not used the vop so I have no answer for that. I did use it once to see if and how it worked but haven't used it agin. I suppose you can adjust the sensitivity, but then agin maybe not. You'll just have to try it and see.

This is my 1st digital recorder and I'm delighted with the performance. I thought the price too much, but I tried cheaper recorders from other brands, and was not satisfied with their performance. I love this Sony recorder. I usually like most Sony products.
This recorder has performed as advertised and I am very pleased with the results. To get the full benefits you have to go into the "detailed menu" to setup all the options. The included instructions are not clear on how to do this. Many of the features are set by default to off. As a previous reviewer stated this recorder does have "voice activation", It's set by default to off....you have to go into the "detailed" menu to turn it on. I like the fact you can add an SD card. I put in an 8 GB card that I use for music, e-books, etc., and I use the built in 4GB internal memory for voice, meetings, lectures, etc. You can switch between them in the detailed menu. There was a learning curve for me with this Sony product, and I'm a semi geek and very tech savvy. The included instructions leave a lot to be desired. I recommend everyone to download the instruction manual to your Pc, with the included USB cord. You will see much on how to use this product that is omitted in the included instructions. I purchased "Energizer" rechargeable batteries, and I use an outboard charger I already have. You can get batteries and a charger for AAA batteries for about $20.00. The rechargeable batteries will pay for themselves in a short time, especially if you use the recorder a lot. I also intend to purchase a small case to hold the recorder and cords.
I use a Aux. cord that I plug into the earphone/output Jack, then into the AUX input jack in my car. Most newer cars have Aux and USB inputs, and I can play the sound from this recorder through my car speakers. I'm not sure you can change sensitivity on vob. I know if you use any of the scene options, all settings will be made automatically. You can't change anything. To be able to change different settings for recording you can't use any of the scene options (meeting, lecture, etc) because all the setting are pre set with each scene selection. Actually I took this recorder back and exchanged it for a more expensive Sony recorder, the Sony ICDAX412 ($ 85.99) Glad I did. Even thought this is a good recorder, the 412 is much better and I got it for only $5.00 more on sale..

What I'm not happy with is the employees at your store in Branson MO, They need to know more about their products . & they also need to ask for.your rewards cards like all other places do . Wireless head sets will work only if you have Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth capablity with this recorder.

I have the Sandisk Cruzer 2.0 --this Sandisk 3.0 claims to have "write speeds up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0" what does this mean ---does it literally mean that you can key words/write 10 times faster?
The speed of the USB3 Drive will depend on different factors of your Pc. You "must" have a USB3 port on your Pc for this drive to work at faster speeds. It will work in USB2 ports but it will only perform at the USB2 speeds. If you have the proper USB3 ports on your Pc, you should see faster speeds.

No. This is a plasma TV. Soap opera effect happens only on LCD HD sets.
