Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18–200mm f/3.5–5.6G ED VR II Standard Zoom Lens: This powerful and versatile Nikon standard zoom lens is a great one-lens solution for DX-format DSLRs. Its wide angle to telephoto focal range gives photographers a flexible tool to get the shot without having to switch lenses.

All in One Lens is a Vacationer's Dream

Took the lens on an Alaskan trip, to use with my d5000. I already owned the 18-55 and 55-200 lenses, but wanted to travel with a more compact arrangement. Not having to change lenses "on the fly" while out exploring let me capture both landscape panoramas, as well as the fast moving outdoor wildlife. There were several situations where, if I had to change lenses, I would have missed a shot.
The lens is noticably heavier that the 18-55 or the 55-200, and it's built and feels more rugged, as well.
If I could do it over again, I would have bought the d5000 body, with the 18-200, and not bought the two lens kit.
What's great about it: Very flexible, easy to get the right shot
What's not so great: Heavier than the kit lenses - you'll know it's on your neck!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does not work with Lion OS
By BigChopper from Colorado
You can not access your I Tune Library if you have Lion running on your Mac. Would have been nice to know prior to purchases before spending $450 dollars, box states works with Mac OS 10.4 or higher. You can access internet streaming. They are still working on resolving the issue.

Lion issue resolved
December 4, 2011
It's true, when Lion 1st came out, Sonos was not compatible, but they fixed that issue (within a week if I remember correctly). Hard to give the product one star for that!

Nikon D3100 DSLR Camera with 18–55mm VR Lens: Easily see what you're shooting with the one-button live view display, whether taking stills or recording videos. The included vibration reduction lens helps images stay sharp without the use of a tripod, making this camera travel-friendly and even more versatile.Memory card sold separately.

No internal memory? No memory card included?

Does this mean the camera is not able to take pictures with what was included in the box? A separate memory card must be purchased in order to take pictures?
Yes, you need to purchase a memory card.

Laptop HDMI connections bad for Plasma?

Mentioned to a salesman today that I often hook up my laptop to the TV for watching movies and stuff. Currently using S-video on my older television but I believe my laptop has HDMI outputs so that would be what I use on a new TV. He said he highly recommended LCD for me because a laptop wouldn't be sufficient for a plasma and might ruin the television. Likened it to how speakers that are too powerfull draw to much energy.

This is the first I've heard of this so any advice would be greatly apreciated. Kinda confused why laptops would be made with such connections if they don't work with the TV.
Don't let the laptop stop you from buying the plasma. He may have been thinking about plasma burn in with a fixed image, but it's hard to know what he was thinking without hearing the whole conversation.

If you want to get a plasma, go for it.

Which of the LCD 40'' or 42'' HD TV has a 120V/220V switching power rating or specifications. Thanks.

UL Listing (a requirement for sale in the US) does not allow sale of multiswitching products at most retailers, including Best Buy.

adapter to block language

Does Best Buy carry a product to block out undesirable language?
For what type of device? There is computer software available for computer control, but currently nothing for Television Broadcast.

What type of TV is best for a bright room?

The prevaling opinion is that an LCD or an LED-LCD TV is best in a bright room. The better answer is that the front bezel of the TV should be dull, not shiny, so that reflections will be less visible when looking at the TV. So, there are both Plasma and LCD styles that are suitable for a bright room.

Can I show a series of pictures on my tv from a memory stick or do I need more equipment

If your tv has a memory card slot for a memory stick you can display those pictures on the TV. If not, generally speaking, you will need more equipment.

is LED the same as DLP when it comes to having to change the lights (bulbs) after a certain amount of time

No. LED Techology means that the light source is LED light bulbs, and those last a very, very long time.
