This stays in place , but viberates really bad.It"s like the pedestal is not solid enough to hold the washer. They look nice together,but I think the washer would run quitetlywith out them.never would have bought them
What's great about it: easy to set up/ looks nice
What's not so great: not strong enough with washer on top
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
