High quality DSLR at a 'reasonable' price

Bought this camera to take my photography to a higher level. It offers the right combination of features and quality to meet that objective. Specifically, it has high resolution, high FPS, fast shutter speeds, various image types (I use RAW), good range of ISO settings, on-camera controls, and an easy to read/use mini-screen on top of the camera. I just returned from Paris and am very happy with the photographs, noting some were taken outside and some were taken in very low light.
What's great about it: * Wide range of features and functions
What's not so great: * Sturdy, but heavy (get a comfortable strap)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Top notch zoom lens

Bought the lens today and starting taking pictures 5 minutes after opening the package. It is so easy to use. The focus, even at 300mm, was fast and crisp and quiet on my D5000 camera. I took the dove picture first and then used the lens to take pictures of my niece playing softball. Example pictures are loaded. This is simply a great lens.
What's great about it: Great zoom lens at a 'reasonable' price
What's not so great: It is a little heavy
I would recommend this to a friend!
