So I needed a new set of headphones for playing mmorpgs since my busted set of cheapo noise cancelling headphones bit the dust finally. They were an ok brand (Phillips) that I think I got for like $20. figuring I would need to spend a bit to get a HP/Mic combo that didn't look/feel/perform like it was made in a third world country for pennies on the dollar I jumped on this set that was on sale from like $32 or so to $19.99.
Performance: This set actually has performed exceptionally well! More than I would expect a set twice its price to perform. I can set the volume to uncomfortable levels and still not receive any feedback or interference. The mic is kind of hard to review for most normal ppl but at least for me my buddies on ventrilo have reported that the sound is good and not too high/low and does not have any weird feedback problems that I have had in the past with cheaper sets.
Comfort: I wouldn't say terrible, but this headset is prolly better suited to people with really small ears. Either that or I just have gotten spoiled by headphones that actually cover the whole ear. Don't get me wrong, this does not interfere with the sound, but people with even normal sized ears will not be able to have these cover them. The padding is ok, but after extended hours of gaming or jamming out they get a bit uncomfortable.
Overall: Sales aside, if these were placed head to head with the next step up that is only a little more I would go with the bigger ones, but with the sale price of almost half off this is absolutely one of the best performance to price HP/MIC sets you can get.
