Ideal for use with desktop performance towers, all-in-one computers, consumer-grade NAS devices or desktop RAID arrays, this Seagate internal hard drive features a 1TB capacity, so you can store plenty of digital files.
I want to say that the last Seagate drive I had was a 320gb,it chirped occasionally when i bought it and it gave up the ghost after 3 years (not a complete failure since i was able to retrieve my data), but you get the idea. Hard drives come from the factory defective all the time and it really doesn't matter who the manufacturer is .Hard drives are the most fragile part of the pc, sometimes they are banged up when shipped to the retailer and then banged up again by the stock boy....etc. Its really up to you to know if your drive is a good one by testing it first, if it chirps or makes noise then you know there will likely be problems in the near future so you should back up your data and return it. The good thing about buying it at bestbuy is that if it fails you can take it back to the store and swap it instead of RMAing it through other online computer parts dealers and having to pay the shipping twice or three times. Just my 2 cents....
What's great about it: 1TB storage, 7200rpms and 32MB cache = fast loading of games and other applications
What's not so great: It wasn't free and it doesn't mow my grass for me...;]
