This is a very powerful speaker. Insane amount of bass, almost too much at times. I only gave it 4 stars due to no eq or bass adjustment to trailer to my liking. It sounds amazing at high volume, but bass is overwhelming at low volume. Perfect party speaker!

Super crisp highs, tight lows

This purchase was not a disappointment. I was a little reluctant spending just over $100 for speakers that are sitting outside in the elements, but I am very glad that I bought these Yamahas!
The sound quality is very very good. Tweeters jump out at you, and the low end hits with a nice degree of tightness. Ive pushed them pretty hard, and no clipping, no distorting.
Yamaha has done it once again. My band's PA is all Yamaha Club V speakers, my home entertainment system uses all Yamaha speakers, and now my deck has Yamahas! All of which have impressed year after year after year.
What's great about it: Sound Quality
What's not so great: That I should have bought another pair for my garage!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Anything Better?

I have long been looking for the best Portable speaker (disregarding size). I have tried out the following speakers: Beats - Beatbox Portable, Bose SoundLink lll, Harman Kardon Onyx and a few others that didn't even compare. This one was by far the best, better sound highs, lows, louder, crisper, battery life sadly it's still not the winner. My brother owns a speaker he bought over 8 years ago that is now discontinued but still beats even this speaker, in every category except battery life and highs. And that's the "Apple Hi-Fi Home Stereo" sadly it's iPod dock is useless, it's AUX connect still is used in todays tech. But I have searched high and low for a louder, better sounding speaker. Nothing. Does anybody know where to look? Please I will pay you.
Check out the Sonos lineup. Heard a house loaded with Sonos speakers and they blew my mind
