This device is great and is really easy to setup. One thing you should know about most electronic devices, the documentation if often wrong. On Page 8 of the booklet it tells you that when you are setting up this device as an extension of your current WiFi that you can connect to this device with your computer or mobile device. It says just open your browser and NetGear Genie will pop up or if not to use www.mywifiext.net. Neither of these work. You need to type in the IP address of this device which out of the box is: 192.168.1.128. Just open your browser and instead of using the www.mywifiext.net type in this IP address. It will take you to the Genie and the rest is just answering the questions. Make sure you completely finish the Genie setup before you quit. It will tell you when you have finished.
My WiFi is not available in those places where I had a weak on non-existent signal so this device really works. If you have a dual band Router then use the dual band extension for your streaming devices like Roku or Amazon Fire as this will produce the best results for your devices.

Will the AC 750 Wi Fi range extender work with COMCAST
Yes, it will but know this. The WiFi electronics built into the Comcast or Xfinity router is very weak to start with. So that signal is not great and what I did was connect this NetGear AC750 in my upstairs so it could extend the weak signal from the Comcast router. If you are not sure of what I am saying Google Comcast Wifi router and see what is being said out there about these devices. I went to Comcast and got their newest model and still the WiFi is very weak unless you are in close proximity to the device.

can you use this to wirelessly connect a wired security dvr?
I have a netgear n and two dvr's ones directly wired to the router and the other is in my garage. I would like to hook the garage unit up to my network but it is also wired and i have weak wireless access in my garage. Thanks to all
If you have wifi capabilities on the DVR in the garage then yes this is what you are needing for that area. To boost the signal that is weak within the garage. Make sure that if your NetGear WiFi router has dual band capabilities then connect to the 5G version of the two connections available since it will perform better for your device.

do still have to have a router
if the first unit is connected to a router do u need a router at the other unit
No, if you have one WiFi router then all this device will do is connect to it and provide a stronger signal in the area in which you place it. You will NOT need another router.
