Great Drone for all Levels

What I Love:
I don't have to rely on an external device to fly.
If you happen to crash the Q500, Yuneec will have it back to you within a month. If you crash a DJI drone you will not get your drone back for three months. Yuneec has great customer service.
The Q500 allows you to take off the gimbal/camera and mount it on a steady grip for smooth ground shots.
You can film or shoot photo's manually, and in raw formats for professional shots.
Extremely durable. Crashed on my second flight and the wiring to my camera did break, so they gave me a different wire. A few weeks ago I crashed in non gps mode (45mph) and there was nothing but a few scratches. Besides the wiring by the camera, it's a solid drone.
What I don't like:
Loosing video signal is common. After 1200Ft with no objects between me and the drone is the safe zone for connection. You can reach 2100ft but your video feed will cut in and out. Dji's are known to have greater range.
Landings are tricky. When descending to land, (2 feet above the ground) the q500 has a tendency to bounce. If there is wind make sure you counter it or you could tip on landing. Once you do it enough it's easy to do.
When you let go of the sticks to hover, the q500 generally holds its place but does move a foot or two away from it's original position. The phantom three is much more steady.
One last thing is the flight modes, you get smart mode, angle mode, and return to home mode. In smart mode you can access follow me and watch me mode. On the professional version of the phantom three you get orbit mode, journey mode, point of interest mode, and the follow me mode. Not a huge deal but a disappointment.
If you ask me what's better, the Dji phantom 3 professional or the Yuneec Q500, I'd say its a personal preference. There are pros and cons of each that I mentioned above. Hope this was helpful.
What's great about it: tablet built in controler, customer service, removable gimbal/steadygrip, durable, easy to use, manual/ shooting
What's not so great: video signal, rough landings, doesn't hold postion well (compared to dji), not many flight modes.
I would recommend this to a friend!
