Back up files with this SanDisk solid-state flash drive. It's compatible with USB 3.1 ports for faster data transfer, and it has a 256GB capacity, so you can store plenty of information. This SanDisk solid-state flash drive has no moving parts, so it's resistant to vibrations to protect your data.
I primarily use this drive to back up MP3 songs, drivers, utilities and other back up data. This drive performed no faster in an USB 3.1 socket than my old 128 GB SanDisk Extreme Pro USB 3.0 did in a slower USB 3.0 socket or older still, my very small [physical size] SanDisk 64 GB Ultra Fit USB 3.0 drives.
This is far too expensive for the performance, at least for the files I back up.
I did not run a benchmark program on it, even though I have one. I do not back up synthetic numbers, only real data.
It may move larger files faster, such as movies, I do not know.
