I love being able to have a log of who comes and goes on my front porch. I love that when someone comes to the door, wheather I am home or not, I can see exactly who it is and speak with them. My only concern is that it states that my actual doorbell should still ring in the house. Unfortunately even checking and trying to change the wires it still does not work so the only way to know that someone is ringing the doorbell would be if you have the app and notifications set up on your phone, even if you are in the house. When I confronted the company and Best Buy about this I was told to buy an additional $50 part, as if the $250 door bell was not enough in the first place.

I love them!! Have them behind our tv and under the cabinets in the kitchen. I also got a motion sensor for the ones in the kitchen so they automatically come on when someone walks in there and are set up with enough light to not trip on anything on way to light switch. We love being able to change the colors to whatever mood we are feeling that night as well. BUT, they do not stick well to under cabinets. Smooth surface they are great. If you put them on a rough surface though they will only stick for a couple weeks. I did find that buying 3m double sided tape that is clear and has a red covering on it works well. It is listed as holding up to 5lbs on the package. That is the only complaint I have with them. Just think if I am spending that kind of money....for lights, they could take a couple extra dollars out of their profits and use better tape to begin with.

We absolutely love it! Depending on what the weather changes to while I am at work or just upstairs I can change the heat/AC to make sure my house and dogs stay comfortable and help save money on my energy bill. My thermostat did not have the "C" wire, I believe, and required a battery in order to work. I could not find any new "smart" thermostats that had that capability. BUT, this one did come with an extension kit. I had to get in the attic to attach to HVAC system but I was able to complete the rewire in under 5 min and the most expierence I have with electrical work is plugging something in.
