I had read several reviews about this camera after viewing it on Best Buys "Deal Of The Day". Most every review talked about the detail and clarity of the pictures. I can tell you that they were right. I've gotten some really good shots, but I've also had some not so great out of focus shots. This camera is an upgrade of a 2010 Kodak Z950 that had been having some problems and was then dropped by my girlfriend. I really do like this camera and I'm still learning all the different features and settings that it has. I also really like the leather protective case that is included with the camera. It snaps on and off with ease.

I purchased 4 of these cameras on a deal of the day at Best Buy. I really like the cameras. At this price point you get a great quality picture and peace of mind. The Zsight app is a little limited. It would also be nice if you could set the motion detection sensitivity. For an entry level security camera at the deal of the day prices you can't go wrong. If you want certain other features a wired system might work better.

Good home personal cloud

So far seems to work well. I have it plugged into my AT&T U-verse router. I bought mine as a deal of the day. To set-up your cloud you need to be connected to your home network and connect to the Seagate website, then follow the instructions, it was very easy to do.

Does this camera have a macro function?
I've had this camera for a few months now and I'm not sure if it does or not. It has a lot of manual functions that take a while to get use to. It might automatically adjust to the macro shot. Sorry I can't be of more help. I do like the camera.

what type of batteries does it take and are they rechargable?
It comes with it's own rechargeable battery. Battery life is very good.
