So I got the lights during a BestBuy deal of the day and they were 50% off.
The lights are pretty cool but we wanted to line our back yard, deck, and tree house. I bought 10 packs. What the label doesn't say is that the strands do not connect to each other. One end is a USB and the other is a micro USB. I bought some after market connectors and you can only light 3 strands together. Apparently there is a second strand type made for connecting but the literature says you can only connect one original and one secondary together. That's disappointing. Not worth the $$$$ even at 50% off. Will be returning

will it notify you through your smartphone if motion detector trips
We don't have that set up on ours but I don't believe so. It's such a good image I would imagine it would go off constantly if it did. We have wild frogs and bunnies, wind blown leaves, bugs, and an American flag.
