Great robot vacuum with smart mapping features

This Roomba J5+ combo self emptying robot vacuum is so much more than I expected.
The app, which allows for many options like schedules, no go zones, room dividers, object detection, and has an intelligent navigation and mapping system which ensures efficient room coverage without missing spots.

I am especially excited about the object detection. It learns what objects should or shouldn't be on the floor based on pictures it takes for you to review and then knows which should or shouldn't be there. It also provides photographic evidence of who is leaving stuff on the floor to assist in household debates. You can even set it up to work with Siri and or Alexa by voice command. How cool!?
I also love the mopping function. It's more like a wet drag of a cleaning pad but for me, I wasn't expecting a deep clean, just remove the surface dirt and mud that the dogs bring in and it absolutely does that in nice straight lines along my wood floors, AND it vacuums while it is mopping!
I set a schedule using the app which has the vacuum cleaning my whole middle floor M/W/F in the middle of the day so the rooms are bright which helps the robot view a little better. The robot even knew the dog food bowls and asked if I wanted the robot to avoid them. I have run 3 cycles and it has yet to get stuck on any object on the ground and instead just takes a picture to remind you that there are objects on the floor for you to review.
Another feature that sold me on this was the self emptying dust bin. I have dogs and my previous robot dust bin would fill up after every cleaning and I would have to empty it and that eliminates the purpose of the set it and forget cleaning approach. Sure the large dust bin needs emptying eventually but I can do that weekly or more.
A couple things I don't like, vacuum bags and the sound of emptying the dust bin. First the sound, it sounds like a jet engine turning up, lasts only 3-5 seconds but you've been warned. Not a big deal, just caught me off guard. The vacuum bags are an annoyance and are wasteful. They lock in with a plastic clip and are relatively small. I would suggest environmentally the company just use a reusable internal dust bin rather than creating plastic trash.
Overall, I love this vacuum. It cleans thoroughly, is capable of mopping and vacuuming at the same time, and I don't have to put much thought into my floor being clean and they just are which is awesome and makes my life simpler. Win.

Time to upgrade my cables again because this Insignia thunderbolt 4 cable is FAST and one is not enough to charge all of my electronics! The braided cable itself is 3 ft thick but pliable and very heavy duty which makes me think this one will last through the pulling, bending, twisting, and packing that cables will go through during its use lifetime. I tested this on my older iPad Pro whose battery seems to be sloooowing down considerably. In a normal/standard USB C to USB C from a reputable brand, it will take literally all day for this iPad to charge. I stopped watching the iPad after 6 hours which was at 65% after that amount of time from completely dead. I ran the same test using this new insignia wire and went from dead battery to full 100% in 1 hour 55 mins. That's enough to show that this wire, comparable to previous USB C generations is significantly faster. Currently I have my one cable connected to a Wacom drawing tablet which is connected to my Macbook pro 2023 and there is a noticeable decrease in lag time between pen contact on the tablet and drawing which compares more favorably to using an Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro if youve had that experience. This wire is plenty strong to also charge my MacBook Pro if I don't have the apple magnetic charger around and it's more convenient too since it can charge all of my other electronics too. If you're like me you probably have a bunch of old slow cables around the house, this Insignia USB C needs to replace them.

This Bella Pro series digital air fryer toaster oven did not live up to my expectations for the product. I have done some air frying with French fries and salmon burgers and they came out just fine. Cooking a frozen pizza went well, but the process to cook food just seemed overly simplistic and basic. Certainly not "pro". There are too few buttons. Picking a mode you have to cycle through using the arrow buttons and defaults the time on the air fryer to 25 mins and then you have to cycle down or up with the temp and time arrow buttons. It also takes what seemed like and overly long time to preheat.
I will say it does cook well which should be expected. It is big. It can fit a 12" pizza which is a bonus for me and I am excited to try the rotisserie this holiday season. I like that it combines the air fryer with the toaster to eliminate an extra appliance that needs to sit out. It is lightweight which is good for moving around if you need extra counter space but also makes it seem flimsy and cheaply built.
Bottom line, this is a very average product. it will cook your food fine. It is just a little too basic to be part of a Pro series.

I sleep better at night now that I have this home security system. Unfortunately we had to set this up after getting burglarized instead of being proactive with our security living in a city. We had some security measures in place like a doorbell camera and a yard camera, but the burglar exposed many of our flaws. He was able to gain entry to two doorways by quickly popping the locks, thankfully not into the main house, but could've easily. Not so easy anymore. This Simplisafe security system was a breeze to set up. The unit was very easy to connect to the simplisafe app. The app interface is easy to use. When you log in it jumps right to your cameras. There is a slight delay in connecting to the live feed when clicking in from a pop up notification, minimal, but noticeable for me. The video quality is great. Notifications are timely. The battery on the camera seems to drain quick, but we plan to remedy that with a solar panel. It is also super convenient to be able to set the alarm from either the keypad or on your phone through the app. The door monitors just stick right on to the surface of the door and door jam. The sound when tripping one is very loud and deterring for me to test, so I imagine that sound should cause someone uninvited to run. The motion sensor I have placed in the basement so the dogs don't trip it and thankfully no intruders have tested this for us. There are a couple of paid plans to choose from for different levels of monitoring for your comfort as well. If you're looking for a simple to set up alarm system with the option for monitoring, this system is for you. We didn't lose much property when burglarized but our sense of security was taken, this Simplisafe system home security gives it back.

It’s amazing. Buy it. I’m 42, moderately active, hike, and sometimes more than not I ache. This therabody thermcube is an absolute life saver. It’s so simple but soo effective. I’m going to get one for each of my family members households… this basically is an electronic hot and cold pack but with modifiable temperatures and no hot or cold packs to deal with. There’s a hot setting, a cold setting, and contrast which is 5 minutes cold, 5 minutes warm twice. As soon as I turned it on the first time and felt the cold plate that goes against your skin, I was absolutely amazed. It took like 3 seconds to get ice cold. It was almost instant. I ran upstairs and woke my wife up to have her try it I was so amazed. She immediately looked at me and said “umm we need to get this for everyone for Christmas”. And Then I learned contrast mode. This cold/hot alternating mode is phenomenal. I put it whatever muscle hurts and 20 mins later, it doesn’t hurt. I used it once or twice a night for the last week and a half and have yet to find a spot that hurt after my contrast session. It comes with two strap sizes that you can connect to create a third size that could be better, but I’m currently using to keep it on my lower back so it works. The sizes are what appear to be arm sized, leg sized and combine the two for waist or shoulder size. I get 3-4 contrast sessions between charges. Really it’s just amazing. Every household should own one.

Never thought I’d get excited about a stick vacuum but I’m taken back to my child hood with this…explanation coming but first the technical stuff! There are a couple different power modes with this shark cordless detect PRO with my favorite part, auto empty. Eco mode is your low power which is fine for zooming around wood floors for light dust. Auto mode and is going to be your go to mode for mindless vacuuming and really you never need to take it off of this mode. Auto mode has dirt detect which sends a boost when it detects excess dust/dirt/debris , floor detect so the brush roll knows if you’re on carpet or wood and adjusts itself accordingly, hits corners great with edge detect and even adjust lighting based on need. How awesome! The third mode, Boost will drain your battery but is much more powerful. Hit it for a second if you need it but really it’ll do it on its own in auto mode. Let the detect technology do the work for you! This does great for picking up after two dogs on wood floors mixed with varying depth throw carpets. Very happy with the amount of dirt it picks up. Sad I have that much dirt…BUT the auto empty! My favorite feature. There is a canister that houses the dirt that is also a holder for the vacuum. When you hang it up, it automatically sucks the dirt from the vacuum canister and makes a fun suction sound and it reminds me of ghostbusters trapping a ghost but I’m trapping dirt. It really amuses me. I hope you find the same joy in this. It’s a great vacuum. Check out the dirt trapping video!

The Insignia GoPro accessory kit is a must have for your GoPro to get you started creating awesome memories in a variety of settings. My go to accessory is the head strap so I can record the action live from my perspective on the GoPro while my mirrorless camera freezes the moments in time. I’ve added the suction cup mount to my car windshield to capture off road adventures in my SUV. After a recent fraudulent unemployment claim was made at my current place of work, I’ve definitely been interested in finding out what of my info is out there and how can I further protect and clear it. I had high hopes for this McAfree personal identity guard software, but I’m concerned for my privacy further and maybe the in process items to clear will clear and I can give a better score, but as of now, I’m just concerned. It asks a bunch of info and walks you through the process of learning where and when breaches have occurred and recommendations to fix them. The more info you add, the more you find out about what info of yours is out there. They can also remove personal info trackers that have your family’s names and , previous and current living, location, age, phone numbers and more. That currently is “in process” since acquiring the app a few weeks ago. So my concern lies with the fine print about how the company use the data they collect and use for relevant advertising and third party collaboration on products but I want less of my info out there, not more. I also made a password unique to this product just a few weeks ago and I received a password notification that that password was found in a data leak. I have a one year subscription so I will continue to test this over time with info I feel safe volunteering. I also would recommend a extra layer of security getting into the app and my info. I just don’t feel that safe with software and that my info is protected securely.

Speaking as someone who is one of those people who are horrible at charging their phone, I am absolutely thrilled for this Rexing 120W vehicle quick charger. I have legitimate battery life for my iPhone 15 pro when I get into work now.
The stock usb charging ports in my car come nowhere near the how fast of charger this is for my iPad Pro and iPhone 15 pro on the go. It also has a sleek gray design, while still allowing for enough space for 3 ports and packs a 120w punch too. It feels solid and well built as one might expect from Rexing.
The two USB C ports, the 20w and 100w, rapidly fuel my devices, providing high speed charging that is perfect for my phone and tablet and anyone elses devices with me on the go! The third USB port serves as a reserve for charging additional devices, making it a very versatile accessory. Another great feature to factor is the intelligent charging feature which helps to eliminate fears of overcharging and or overheating. Safety is always a number one priority in the car.

I am absolutely in love with the new Gen3 Oura ring for the style, my health, and overall physical awareness. After completing sizing, I ended up getting the silver ring which has a smooth clean looking polished finish to wear on my non dominant pointer finger. There are a few sensors in the ring measuring different statistics to give you a daily health "readiness" for the day. It supposedly takes 2 weeks to learn your behaviors to give you the most accurate picture as to who you are and your motivations such as "improve my health", "improve athletic performance", "manage stress", "develop learning skills and creativity, be more present and focused, and my focus area is "be productive and energetic". Your profile has your body metrics like height/weight, date of birth, current sleep patterns and more. Another great thing, the battery lasts almost a week in this tiny ring without ever charging. That being said, I usually chuck it on the charger while I shower and it's full by the time I'm done so I don't miss any real activity with the watch on the charger.
Once you're up and running, you'll never ask yourself why you feel tired ever again. Take for instance last night. I slept a total of 5.5 hours which was not enough based on my activity level from the day before. The Oura ring tracks your sleep cycles in a beta format, your overnight oxygen saturation which is great for those snorers or those at risk for sleep apnea, and other factors that contribute to your sleep scores such as how long it took to fall asleep, total sleep, and resting heart rate. When you wake up, too early this morning in my case, when you open the app your ring will sync and you'll have your sleep score, readiness for the day score with activity recommendations and the ideal time to go to bed. I would say it is super accurate in predicting how tired or energetic I will feel based on my stats and I am able to look at trends and last nights sleep to see where I screwed up my readiness for the day! This works because it makes you aware of your day to day health and sleep because you can't fix a problem you don't know exists.
Lastly are exercises that range from breathing work and meditation, sleep suggestions/stories, and more learning content such as "how dreaming can help regulate emotions". Also helpful are notifications reminding me to stretch my legs sent to my phone. How they squeezed all of this tech into a normal size ring is absolutely amazing.
I can confidently recommend this to anyone who wants to be more aware of their day to day health and wanting to feel their best. It is convenient, stylish, a great compliment to my other health wearables, and I feel more aware of what is going on with me and how I am feeling and that feels good. Thanks Oura!

1. and if you open the CD compartment to check it disconnects from your bluetooth stream apparently haha

Absolutely, currently as I type I have it paired with my Mac. Also use it on my iPhone
