When I was looking for a sound bar with sub about a year ago, I went back and forth at bestbuy listening to the Sony ST7 and the Sonos, and choose the wrong one. So now I realize that I bought the wrong one and purchased the Sonos after listening to it over and over again at bestbuy to make sure. You really can't get the best experience with the limited sample of music and movie there. The bass on this sub is outstanding, going into the low end of the frequency with a rumble. If you like that kind of bass, this is the sub you're looking for. Of course, you control every aspect of the sound with the Sonos App on your smart phone or tablet. Go get it, you won't be disappointed.

I had a Sony ST7 sound bar and it doesn't come close to the sonos. I had the chance to purchase the sonos when I was looking for one, but I went back and forth in bestbuy listening to each one and (boom), I picked the wrong one. Now it's been a year since I got the Sony, so I bought the right one this time. Don't forget to purchase the Sub, because it is awesome!

Can be hooked up to your door bell or stand alone. If you are going with the stand alone, just charge the unit with the included cable and mount it where you want to see who is coming up to your property. Use the included screws. If you want it for your door bell, take the 2 screws off your old door bell, exposing 2 wires. If you can’t shut off the power, make sure you don’t cross or touch the wires together. Attach both wires to the new ring door bell. It doesn’t matter which wire goes where. The instructions tell you how to hook the ring whether you have a powered door bell or a digital one. The instructions are very good to install the ring. Hope this helps.

I purchased this vacuum last week and received today. I was super excited but it doesn't roll. My thumb hurts from trying to push the button over and over. I only need the dang thing for my center shag carpet. It starts to spin then just stops spinning.

sorry for dumb question , but which receiver or amplifier would be best to start off with. I'm thinking of getting two speakers but not sure if sound bar or subwoofer etc thanks my knowledge is limited ??
You don't need a receiver or amp. As long as you have wifi and using the sonos app, you can stream your music what is on your cell phone or tablet, or by using amazon, Pandora or any others. In the sonos app, you just set it up as stereo (left and right speakers). I have the sonos sound bar and sub and the sound is unbelievable. I have it connected to my oled tv. Hope this helps.

I have a sonos system in my home and it is great. I have a vacation house and want to get a Play 1. Will the sonos app support two different system configurations for two distinct locations?
I believe if you have wifi at that location.

Would this unit paired w/ a sound bar replace my music system when set up w/ a TV?
As long as you buy the Sonos Playbar to add to the Sonos Sub, I feel you won't need anything else. That's all I have and it sounds great. I've had other systems with an amp and multiple speakers and the Sonos out proforms all of them.

How hard does the sub hit? will it shake deep in my soul? FYI I have the Playbar and 2 play 3's already.
Yes, you will feel and hear it. You really need the sub for a complete experience of Sonos. With the equalizer settings and the sub settings, you'll get that feeling. I'm happy with my playbar and sub.

how do I determine if I should go with a passive or Powered subwoofer?
I want to put together a decent surround sound. I would like a crisp bass but I'm also wanting a "feel" when I'm watching an action movie
A powered sub is the best. The Sonos sound bar with a sub and 2 additional Sonos play 1 speakers for the 5.1 surround would be the best system. You really don't need the additional play 1 speakers, but that's a individual preference. Believe me, you will feel the thunder and rumble especially with movies. You use the Sonos App to control the treble and bass in the settings, eq tab plus advanced audio for the sub settings. You'll have your rumble in no time.
