Can you open the lid once it starts filling?
If I need to add something, can I open the lid without the water draining and starting over?
You can hit the start button and it will pause and unlock. Then you can open the lid. How long it takes to unlock depends on what cycle it is in and it has to stop spinning or washing completely.
