With a magnetic connection, this Microsoft Touch Cover 2 N3W-00001 keyboard quickly and easily attaches to your Microsoft Surface tablet. The pressure-sensitive keys intelligently sense when you're deliberately typing to help prevent accidental input.

The type 2 cover was accidentally purchased for the pro 3. You must have the pro3 cover to use with your tablet. It is the same price it think and is backlit with a much better trackpad than its predecessor

The Ultimate Computer

Hi, I am righting the review with my new Surface Pro 3 Tablet All-In-One. Let me start by saying that I put a lot of homework into this before I purchased it. The only thing I think I did not ask was a certified Microsoft employee about certain media and apps that may not be compatible with the machine. The main reason for purchasing this was to get my life organized. My personal things like finances, work, and general lists like to do's needed organization. OneNote is a great program for all of these things. I have a Nokia windows phone so uploading and sharing these documents between my phone, my work PC, and now my tablet is a must for me. I have lists for home budgeting, Autographs/memorabilia, and all of the maintenance and work done to both of my cars. There is even a sharing note between my wife and I for the cars and other lists like groceries. I planned my whole wedding on OneNote with pictures, appointment times, budgets, and guest lists. All of that is easily researchable on Microsoft website so I will continue on. The fact that this is a full PC too is one of the main reasons I purchased this. It is a very powerful machine though I would recommend upgrading to the 256GB drive as it comes with 8GB of memory. The machine itself has a USB 3.0 input so storage is not an issue also, it has a mini SD card slot with up to 32GB gives me plenty of extra space. I'll be honest there is not to much to be desired from the Microsoft store just yet but, most of the main apps like Netflix, eBay, and Twitter are all there to name a few, Photos and camera are top notch and Skype worked great too. Battery life is good and does not seem to present any kind of issue. I heard the replacement battery will only be $65 that is good news. Speakers and audio are good to be expected but, a Bluetooth speaker is definitely in order for this machine to reach its full potential. Given its expandability and the fact that you can load PC software this machine becomes ultraportable. It is very sleek and modern and looks impressive when you pull it out at a meeting and take notes with OneNote. With the backlit type cover and padfolio case it not only safe but looks very professional. Given all of that with the fact you can open up a browser window and search something on the net or multitask with two windows on the same screen is wonderful. The Bluetooth pen and note taking is great as well as being able to mark up the page with note that might be needed. Only cons is Microsoft makes you purchase office rather than supplying it to you. Office is a one time buy of $135 for word and exel only. Add that and the type cover also $135 and it becomes an expensive machine but well worth it. I can do everything on it from almost anywhere with my phone sharing data. I purchased this with my best buy credit card and got $135 in reward cash along with a $100 sale price. I also used a $100 visa gift cad I got from Christmas and really made this machine more affordable.

Only at Best BuyKeep data safe on this Western Digital hard drive. Its automatic backup software ensures your files are saved in case you forget. This Western Digital hard drive has an 8TB capacity to store your entire library.

Is anyone able to use this with their Xbox One as a media source? I have had nothing but trouble with this drive (and two others) using them as a media source with Xbox One: https://forums.xbox.com/en-us/thread/70bf51db-e1ac-4aff-8906-23188662a436

Yeah you have to use a drive that is formatted in fat32 these drives will all be ntfs. My suggestion to you would be to store all your stuff on a large captaincy drive then write what your currently using on a flash drive or reformat a smaller drive to fat32. Google it you’ll see what I’m saying
