This adapter only works for USB-C and as such probably isn't what you want. Very few phones and ballets use USB-C so far andI think this is meant to connect to a Mac, not an IOS device. I am only keeping it because the media connector kit for the iPad has a slot for this so I can use it in conjunction with another adapter

Overpriced for what it is

Like all Apple products it is hugely overpriced for what it is. There are many plastic back cases for iPads out there, but few if any leave the side open the way it needs to in order to use the SmartCover or SmartKeyboard. In my searching I only found ONE other one for the iPad Pro and it had holes in it, supposedly for ventilation. I want to protect my investment so after about two weeks of researching and looking around I finally broke down and bought this thing yesterday.
The case itself is well made and durable. It has a microfiber liner like the inside of the SmartKeyboard and case so it protects the iPad well. My only gripes are that it covers the buttons instead of leaving them exposed (personal preference) and the holes over the speakers seem too small, but when I compared the sound with and without the case and it's about the same. There are lots of nice cases out there, but due to the prince I can only recommend it if you need to use the SmartCover or SmartKeyboard at the same time. If not, the exposed side will other you and there are a lot of nice cheaper options out there.
