I know I'll probably end up in the minority here, but this movie was not what I was expecting at all. Furthermore, I don't think it's a good movie for kids. I found it to be extremely depressing for the majority of the movie. It felt like Pixar did that for not good reason. I'll give the movie another shot later on with a second viewing, but for now I didn't care much for it.
I enjoyed this movie even though it isn't quite as good as the first. I can't help but wish for an extended edition to happen, but Joss Whedon basically said it wouldn't. The sound and picture quality are great.
In this compilation commemorating the 30th anniversary of Back to the Future, all three films from the trilogy are included in their entirety: Back to the Future, Back to the Future: Part II, and Back to the Future: Part III. The collection also features all 26 episodes of Back to the Future: The Animated Series, as well as a 64-page book titled Back to the Future: A Visual History, with collectible light-up flux capacitor packaging.
Overall I'm very happy with this release. I love the light up box and the extras inside. My only slight complaint is that there was no remastering done for this release. These are the same transfers as the 25th anniversary set. Otherwise, everything is great.
When I first saw this movie in theaters, it was a good bit different than what I was expecting, but in a good way. Part of the reason I picked this up, besides the nostalgia trip, was for the Minions movie money that was included.
This movie is fun to watch. All his movies share an interesting take on the future and put you in a believable setting if these things were to actually exist.
