An Apple customer, sorely disappointed...

I hate to even say this, but this is the first Apple product I don't like.
But that's based solely on my preferences/needs, which are:
1. Standard, GUI-based setup/configuration accessed via default gateway
2. Provided setup manual/guide

That said, there are MANY who love this router and are happy with it. I came from a NetGear background and perhaps these old habits are hard to part with, but I like something SIMPLE to configure.
The method for initial configuration is convoluted, and this device had trouble keeping all my iDevices connected throughout. After spending 2 hours trying to establish a LAN and WLAN with no user guide or manual, and having to reconnect one device after another (like a whack-a-mole game), I just took it back and got the Nighthawk by NetGear (which by the way, took me all of 15 minutes to unbox, turn on and configure). Others have had success with the AirPort Extreme, but it's just not for me.

This is a phenomenal wireless router, that has far exceeded my expectations. This appeals to me in its simplicity to setup, configure and maintain. The range is unbelievable. I can take my dog for a walk down the street, and my cell phone will show a full WiFi signal when I'm nearly 200 yards from home. Streaming movies online across multiple platforms (tablets, phones, laptops, desktops, voip phones, Apple TVs, and web-enabled Blu-ray players) can't bog it down - even with DSL!
Bottomline: It's tough to beat.
