May be because this is the first time i bought a video card. But don't expect it to run games even at moderate settings. Just gives enough power to make your screen little better , of course it will also depend on the brand of your screen. Good for photoshoping i believe.

It's plug and play. So i believe yes.

I am just starting to get into some video editing, nothing fancy, not doing it professionally, will this card handle it?

Depends. if you don't load really high quality videos it should be good if not you can always return it.
