This receiver is awesome. I like the fact that if you want to watch TV, hit the cable button and it goes right to tv. If you want to watch a movie, hit the DVD button and the DVD pops on. The same for music etc. we use the 5.1 surround but it's nice to have 7.2 if you choose to use it. there are awesome individual speaker settings so you can custom tune to your liking.
With the Definitive speakers and a powered sub, it's just as good as the theater. Thanks Besy Buy and Pioneer

True surround sound

We tried wireless surround but it lacked intensity during a movie so we took it all back and went with a wired system. These vertical speakers have a heavy metal stand to hold them upright. They have an additional sub built in with volume control. These speakers rock. If you like watching movies (chick flicks or action) Definitive makes the perfect speakers for home theater. We have a 5.1 system and I could not be happier and the customer service is great. We listen to our music and movies so loud that I blew one of my book case speakers and Definitive replaced the speaker in no time at all. Get the extended warranty. It's worth it.

Definitive Technology W Studio Soundbar: Feel like you're right in the middle of all the action with the surround sound and deep, powerful bass. The slim design complements any home theater setup, and the subwoofer can be placed out of the way thanks to its wireless capabilities.

The sound bar itself is pretty heavy which is the first thing you notice when setting this up.
The HDMI concept from all components is very cool and it's nice to get away from RCA.
The 500 watts sounds awesome. I only wish the sub was 10" instead of 8" but it does rock.
The apps that go with the sound at are very cool and we were listening to music in no time.
We are saving for the surround speakers that are wi fi and based on the demo speakers at Beat Buy I can't wait.
Highly recommend this system.
