I have used Seagate External Drives for years and this is the first one that has have ever given me problems. The first one I got from the store gave me error messages right out of the box when I connected it to a USB 3.0 port on my one year old iMac, if it would mount at all. I returned it and Best Buy swapped it for a new one, no problem, and that one eventually mounted OK, but took forever (several minutes) to do so.
I wanted to use it with Time Machine so I reformatted it for Mac Extended (as per my other Seagate external drives which work just fine), and the computer keep giving me mounting errors, telling me it has been ejected incorrectly. I finally got it to mount after resetting the USB controller on my iMac, but it still periodically gives me error messages and time machine will lose contact with it if I let it go to sleep. Whenever I restart my Mac it is 50-50 if it will mount at all the first restart.
IMHO this drive is just not compatible with the iMac hardware.
Also, be aware that this drive is designed to work only in a horizontal position even though the illustration on the box shows it mounted vertically.

Nice key feel and works perfectly with iPad Air. One negative is that it is rather heavy, more than doubles the weight of the iPad. Batteries seem to last forever on a charge, but charging light does not indicate when fully charged. Should flash or something when charge is complete.

Perfect Complement to your Mac or iPhone

I have two of these boxes and they both worth perfectly. I use one of them primarily with airplay on my whole home music system, and it works great in that service. One of the best features is that after set up it will work just fine without a TV attached, and since you can use the free app on your iPhone to control it you can treat it as a hidden box to stream music.
In theory it will even stream some HD Audio signals, but I haven't tried that yet.

I bought the Sony 4K Bravia XBR-65X900E tv and I am trying to stream music from my apple devices music and stuff. Can you tell me how to do this?
I do it with an Apple TV using Home Sharing. It only takes a few minutes to set up and then a simple click will share media from any Apple device on your home network. It will also display photos directly from iCloud. Apple TV will require using an HDMI port on the TV though, and it doesn't stream in 4k (yet), but I expect the next version will probably support it.

Stay paired
Does it stay paired with bluetooth or does need to be paired constantly? I ask this because that is a problem with Zagg.
It automatically pairs each time it switches on when the iPad is placed in typing position. Takes perhaps 2 seconds and is totally automatic. There is a blue indicator light that indicates successful pairing.
