If you TV doesn't have all this built in, this is a great way to get Netflix, Amazon, etc. Even if your TV does have this, you may find the interface easier.
If you are running the Roku thru your AV receiver (HDMI) then you sound is getting input into the "stereo" easily. If you are using the apps within the smart TV then you have to wire either to a ARC (Audio Return Channel) HDMI on both the TV and AV Receiver or run a Digital Audio to get the return audio from the TV to the Receiver. This little unit makes it very simple.

Beautiful display and good interface. I wish the "swing" was adjustable instead of being fixed at 2 degrees. Most programmable thermostats you can set the swing from 3 degrees down to 0.3 or 0.2 (tight).
But it works very well and the remote access is simple and great.

I've had many programmable remotes. This is the best and easiest to setup. I had a Pronto, which need a Phd to program. This one is easy. Simply tell it the unit you have (TV, AVR, etc) by manufacture and model to set up the device. Then run the sequence to create an activity (watch cable box, watch Roko, etc) and answer the connection questions, and you are done. Really really great.
