The MB-D12 Battery Grip is OEM designed for the Nikon D810, and therefore it is your best best for solid performance and reliability. Yes, there are cheaper "Chinese knockoffs" out there, but their reliability has not be tested by Nikon, and indeed there are cases of batteries exploding or melting in the cheaper quality imitations. My only complaint is that this battery grip is exorbitantly expensive, and that minimizes the satisfaction of owning it.

I use UV filters to protect my lenses' front elements from damage, and the better filters do not degrade image quality by any meaningful amount. This is a good filter that will not get in the way of your lens' ability to transmit light to the sensor. Recommended.

Good camera, but watch for oil on retractable lens

This is a wonderful camera (I've bought several earlier versions of the RX100), though on this version I have repeatedly discovered traces of oil on the retractable lens barrel, as well as quite a bit of noise when the lens is retracted or zoomed out. This is a great compact camera, but be sure to get a good copy!

The Sony - Alpha A6000 Mirrorless Camera uses an APS-C sensor (smaller than "full frame") that has high resolution and captures wide dynamic range, though it suffers from the smaller sensor size and that means more noise at higher ISO levels... Practically speaking that means pictures taken at lower light will "strain" the sensor to gather light, and that may result in diminished image quality... That said, the image quality (IQ) of the camera is generally quite good to excellent, though you will encounter some noise at higher ISO levels.
With the advent of the Sony 6300 and 6500, this camera body is a bit out of date, too. The never revisions of this camera are better in terms of sensor resolution, ISO levels, dynamic range, and buffer size for faster shooting. If I had to choose all over again, I would pay the extra for the 6300 (or 6500) and pass on this model.

Externally the grip looks very much like the BG-11 grip (i.e., the grip for the Canon 5diii body) but the battery tray is cheaper and the overall quality doesn't seem as good... And at $350 this grip is EXPENSIVE, too -- much more than the better designed BG-11. On the other hand, the grip serves its purpose, however, and up to now it has not fallen apart, though time will tell if my concern about the quality degradation is justified...

If you are a Canon DSLR shooter with experience using Canon's earlier versions of this camera model (i.e., 5d, 5dii, 5diii), you will find this version of the camera to surpass the previous versions in nearly every way. The camera sensor captures higher resolution at higher ISOs than the 5diii, and the dynamic range is better too. I shoot Nikon, Sony, Fuji as well as Canon, and time and again I go back to my Canon gear if I am serious about capturing the best possible photographs (for those interested in movies, there are better alternatives from Sony and Panasonic, however). If you are a photographer who has an investment in Canon glass and are ready to move up from an earlier version of the 5d (or 6d, for that matter), this is a worthy upgrade. Recommended!

The X100T is perhaps one of the best compact cameras made today, with an excellent APS-C sensor, Fuji's great color and dynamic range, and complete manual control of Shutter Speed, Aperture, and Exposure Compensation (ISO is also easily set using the Fn button where you can select values from a picklist). The camera can be shot using silent mode with electronic shutter, making this the stealthiest street camera available, too. RECOMMENDED!
