Good enough for a number 1 tv

I bought this because it reviewed well enough and was inexpensive enough for a secondary or 3rd tv, but was tremendously surprised at the picture and sound quality and size for the $ spent.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not replacing my 65" UHD curved tv, but if you want to spend less than $1k on a tv and don't need UHD, this thing is a home run and can easily be a number 1 tv. Plenty of HDMI ports to connect blu ray, game console, and satellite/ cable. Winner - even at a higher price.

Great bang for the buck

BestBuy was running an awesome sale on this unit and for Xmas, had to do it. Very easy to set up and connect. There are a few drawbacks - only 2HDMI ports. If you want to connect more than a blue ray player and your cable/ satellite, it ain't happening. At least not thru HDMI. Also, audio on this unit is clear, but I'd highly recommend a soundbar or some form of external audio - just make sure that you have the right output ports for it. But really - for this size hdtv with an actual recognizable brand that has a good track record for reliability - can't beat it.

Sadness: defined by new laptop with bad MB

Asus has an excellent reputation and they likely deserve it - I just drew a lemon on this one. This thing looks awesome and based on the specs, should be awesome - however, a bad motherboard is not awesome. Because of Asus warranty policy, I have to pay to return it to their facility for them to evaluate it first and then repair it. For a product that has this problem straight out of the box - and when I'm dropping that kind of cash? Pretty weak...
