They look great, but they may be overpowered

You can scan each Amiibo into Breath of the Wild once per day. The actual Zelda themed Amiibo such as this give you numerous items, and either a chest or a horse to ride each time they are scanned. That can be a huge help. But the items that are dropped are far superior to what you will be getting early in the game. So using them can drastically reduce the difficulty of the game.

I won't spend much time talking about the game as that has been reviewed many times over already. I'll just say it's really good.
As for the special edition bundle, it does come with some pretty cool extras.
The map isn't a functional map for use in the game. It is a recreation of some of the artwork from within the game. And it is quite well done. It would look great framed and hung on a wall, the only downside being that you would have to decide which side to display.
It comes with a coin which I may have already lost. It's nice, but unless you have a coin collection, not many people are going to have a way to display it.
I was really looking forward to the CD. I have the soundtracks from both Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess. But the music here is not that great on its own. The prior games had great orchestral pieces that were well worth listening to on their own. The music for BotW is a bit different, more subdued. It works very well in the game. But listening to it on its own, it didn't hold up as well as the music from past games.
Finally there is the carrying case which was my main reason for wanting the Special Edition bundle. It's a bit cartoonish in appearance. So as an adult, you may want a more nondescript case. But it neatly holds the switch, a dozen game cards and a few accessories such as the Joy Con rails. It won't fit the dock or an AC adapter. So if you want to carry your entire system, you should look at some of the alternatives. I have just two minor complaints about it. First, I wish there was space reserved for a second pair of Joy Cons. I suspect that when games like Mario Kart Deluxe come out, I will want to have more than a single pair of Joy cons with me. You can stick an extra set in this case, but it presses in on the analog sticks and constantly activates them, draining the batteries quicker than necessary. The second issue is a minor quibble. But the case is designed to look like the Shieka Slate from the game, but they put the handle on the long edge rather than the end as it is held in the game. I really wanted this to have a option so you could hang it from a belt as Link does in the game.

Hello Tivo, Good-bye cable

I have had Tivo DVR's for years. Last year I decided to ditch cable, but that meant I needed a new Tivo box that was compatible with over the air broadcast. This fit that need perfectly. Even with a lifetime subscription (I hate monthly billing plans) I still came out ahead after just a few months.
I'm sure I don't have to sell anyone on having a Tivo, there is a reason that they have become synonymous with DVR's. Once you have one, watching television with out one seems almost painful. But there is one feature I never hear anyone mention, which is that the Tivo remote also serves as a fairly handy universal remote. It is able to handle almost all the functions of both my TV and receiver remotes in one much easier to handle package. (I still need the receiver remote to change inputs, but that's it.) I've spent close to $100 alone on universal remotes that weren't as handy as this.

Nice little statues and fun addition to Smash Bros

Meta Knight, much like the previous Amiibo figures, is a nice little statue. So they display well. And they can be fun to toy around with in Smash Bros. But they don't do that much in the games (though I haven't played the new Kirby game.) And if you are going to buy more than just one or two of your favorite characters, the $13 price tags start to add up fast.

I recently ditched cable, and the brick construction of the building where I live meant I was going to need a decent antenna if I wanted to be able to watch over the air broadcasts. This worked just fine with little to no fuss. I positioned it in a window and now I receive all of the local stations.

An interesting and fairly unique series

No spoilers. But if you haven't already watched the first 13 episodes, do that first.
The second set ends out the first season. It pretty quickly takes the series is a very different direction. It also seems to slow down the series a lot. Most of the second set covers the events of just one incident. Drawing things out like that will likely make watching week to week fairly dull. But it means the marathon feature (all the episodes in order with the titles, reviews and end credits removed) it a very welcome feature.

Can the life time fee transfer to the new unit or do I have to pay seperately for the new unit?
Lifetime fees are connected to the Tivo unit. They can transfer to a new owner, but they don't transfer to a new box. However, if you have a lifetime subscription on a Tivo that is still i use, you can get a discount on the new service fee or a new lifetime subscription.

what is required to hook up a vidieo inspection device to a laptop computor
i recently purchased a video inspection device ( bore scope) this device has a 3.5mm output jack, it was supplied with a cord 3.5mm mono (like small headphones jack) on one end and an RCA type jack on the other end, this works great to hook it up to a tv monitor, but i would like to be able to hook it up to a laptop computor for greater portability, what do i need to purchase to do this?
The answer depends upon your laptop. You need either a video input jack on the laptop (which some do have) or some means to convert the RCA signal into a form your laptop can handle. I would suggest starting with the manufacturer of the bore scope and see what they offer to connect the device directly to a computer.

It can work with older TVs, but it is not a digital decoder. So if your TV still has an analog tuner only, you will need a digital to analog decoder box as well.
