You could and should actually use this as a 360 action cam however as a dash cam, no. It doesn't record well at night as there is no night mode. That is a deal breaker for a dashcam. Resolution on this dashcam is about average, not great but passable. Video downloads take about five minutes for a 2min 360 video clip. I really wanted to keep this as a good 360 dashcam would be great to have. May be looking into the Thinkware F800 Pro or go all out for a Blackvue.

I actually bought these. They weren't free in exchange for a 5 star review. The setup is super-easy. The install is the hardest part and a lot harder than the single screw magnetic dome for the Arlo cams. Once you get that done and your light mounted and aimed youre gonna want to go into the "mode" on the Arlo app and set the trigger rule to 100% brightness otherwise youre barely going to pierce the dark. Now that the lights are using their 400 lumens theyre useful. Battery life is impressive so far. still have 100% a week later. Bought one more today and will be getting at least one more. Hope the single bridge can handle them all

This camera is surprising. It can live stream and record in several different resolutions including 4k. It has a very nice touchscreen and the aluminum finish is terrific. The camera clip is also magnetized and works very well to just attach to something metal and record a video without drawing any attention to the device. It will also stream and remote view to your phone. Now for the bad. The battery life is bad. You can maybe get just over two hours video. Next is storage. It's only 32gb and can't be upgraded. It's a bummer but if you offload the recorded media to your phone immediately you can get some good use out of it. The media offloads super fast to your phone. At $250 it's a great deal (which is the price point I had) at $399 it's a hard pass.

The execution on this idea is very poor. You cant record all the time until you run out of space because it turns off in a min to save battery. The photos it takes are fine but your phone can do a lot better. Videos are barely acceptable but in lowlight they are TERRIBLE. Make sure you have light and make sure the light is in the right places. It doesn't hold much media either. Just 6 30sec videos or 100 JPGS and there is no way to force it to record video for its full capacity of 3 minutes. The microphone is pretty bad too. Audio sounds muffled. I like the charging case and the fact that you can get 3 charges out of it but the case feels cheap and makes the product feel like it should cost a lot less. I hate that you cant offload video wirelessly to your phone and you're forced to connect to a PC to watch your videos. Videos do not play on your phone only JPGS can be viewed. Very limited IMO. Its gonna be hard to justify keeping this even if its just $100.

It doesn't hold in your hand as well as the Alacantara case does. It does feel a bit scratchier but I think that's the point. You don't want to loose your grip and you don't want a slippery surface. I believe this case blocks dust and debris from getting behind the case which will keep scratches off the back of the phone. Just as the Alacantara case does. The Scosche brand magnet (sold separately) works thru the case very well and otherwise would have been a deal breaker had it not. Nice red metallic buttons and no outside branding help in the aesthetics department. I'll give it 5 stars as I don't keep anything below a personal 5 star rating. There are just too many options vying for my dollar to settle.

There's a lot to love about the Pixelbook: the screen, the battery life, the pen input, the keyboard, the build, it goes on... But here's why its a keeper for me. I like Android tablets preferably Samsung flapship models. I buy every new tablet up until this year. I like the instant on and the high res screens. This year I skipped the Samsung Tab S3 and the Pixelbook is the reason. It was really when Android became officially supported on Chrome. Once that happened, its pretty tough to justify the then $599.99 (now $399) price of the Samsung Tab S3 and tack on their $129.99 keyboard and still not match the performance of the Pixelbook that, thanks to its Android OS integration, can now do everything the Samsung Tab S3 can do and more. The $899.99 sale price coupled with the 10% student discount made this an immediate buy for me. Forget everything you've heard about Chromebooks because with this momentum Apple and Microsoft will soon be trying to catch up.

I'm impressed with it so far. It can do a few things that no other case can like providing a soft but secure grip (I never feel like I'm about to drop it like some other cases make me feel). It stays put better in a moving car (on the seat or dash)
The Scosche magnet mounts that I use can pass right through it (unlike the Samsung Rugged case I tried)
Where it really shines though is that it seems to keep dust an debris from getting behind the case which is what can scratch your phone while it's in a case. Expensive but worth it for me

The drop protection however is very little. The top, back, and sides are protected but the bottom is bare (all but the bottom corners)

Please don't waste your time and installation trouble on this. It will fail in the first week. Unfortunately I climbed up on my roof and professionally installed this and it will no longer charge after the first week of direct sunlight with the app stating the exact error message that everyone here is getting. I'm paraphrasing but something like you need to plug in a different charging source to the cam. Thought these panels were made for the Arlo Pro Cameras. Guess not. Tech support is ZERO help
