Cartridge Was Not At Fault

The INSIGNIA 10.1 I bought did not last! Granted, I bought it "open box" and it appeared to be visually fine. But, when it came to using it, everything went sour. The tablet was very slow, unresponsive, and even crashed a few times. Nothing was smooth operating on it. Being the owner of an Android phone, I feel that that half of the problem is with Android. It is not as smooth as iOS or Windows. (I have an iPad mini and until recently had a Windows 8 tablet. Both ran circles around this tablet and Android for that matter). Shortly after the "grace period" for returning open box merchandise ran out, the INSIGNIA 10.1 that I had got worse and was just barely running. I ended up throwing it out. Fortunately, I got it cheap. As a result, I would say avoid this tablet.

I originally got my Boost Mobile account at Radio Shack back in 2012. I paid my monthly bill in person at Radio Shack. Well, we all know what happened to Radio Shack. I was up a creek. I went to another Boost Mobile dealer and paid my monthly bill with them. BUT, one morning I went to that dealer and they were not open yet. My monthly payment was almost overdue. So, I wondered into a nearby BestBuy to try the ReBoost prepaid card route. As it turned out, that worked fine. I did it online instead of calling Boost. Either way, I got the payment in on time.

I use the "commercial" version of S2316M at work, so I more or less know what to expect. The S2316M is just as good. The picture is sharp and color presentation is very good. This model does not have an actual HDMI input. If you insist on using HDMI, you have to get a DVI to HDMI converter (not very expensive and very simple). There is also a VGA input. By the way, this monitor is only supplied with a VGA cable.

It was either buy one of those big and bulky hard drive case combinations which look so "cool" or buy a nice compact thumb drive like this SanDisk Cruiser. I chose this unit because of its price and the fact that I wanted a "large" storage device without the show off factor. Do monitors with ips have a better picture quality?
I think so from my owning one and having them at work.

What speaker is best recommended for this monitor?
Good Question. Speakers do not plug into the monitor. They plug into your desktop tower. Try anything that you want. For example, I have an old stereo receiver and speakers connected to my tower and that makes for some awesome sound.

No. Only all-in-one monitor/computer combos have that.

This only has hdmi input, what does that mean?I just want to plug into CPU & go.
Check it again. Mine came through with a VGA also.

What type of connectors do I need to hook up to my laptop?
Without seeing your laptop, my answer is only a guess. Try the HDMI connection if your laptop has that. Otherwise, try the VGA. If your laptop has neither, you may not be able to do this.

Microphone
WHere is the microphone in this monitor?
As is the case with most monitors, such as this one, there is no onboard microphone. That is actually a good thing, because a separate microphone will perform far better than an "included" one.

can you use tis monitor with a Macbook pro 2012 ?
That should be no problem. BUT, if there is an HDMI on the MacBook Pro, you are good to go. IF the 2012 does not have HDMI but has a mini display port, you will have to buy a mini display port to HDMI converter. My 2011 MacBook Pro has no HDMI so I use the aforementioned converter which works very well.
