Imagine if Resident Evil 1 starred a nobody and took place in first person. That's the simplest way of describing RE7. And that's a good thing!
RE7's main plot is far removed from the usual Umbrella shenanigans and deals with issues much closer to home. In fact you are on a plantation in Louisiana cut off from the world trying to rescue your wife from a crazy family. It's more than that of course but that would be spoiling a lot of surprises.
The game really plays like RE1 with bizarre puzzles, ammo sponge bosses, creepy enemies, item conservation and limits on what you can carry but there's modern touches too, like no limits on how often you can save (but saving is limited by location and special auto save checkpoints) and having a bit more mobility.
In 2D this game is scary and graphic. Probably the most extreme visually speaking. Decay in all forms throughout the game. In VR the game really shines. And it's the entire experience too. You can aim and shoot with your head and lean around corners without exposing yourself. And everything literally is in your face now. If you are squeamish VR might push you.
Game takes about 10 hours to beat. Usual first time length for an RE. But since this is the gold edition there is all the DLC to explore. Not A Hero I hear is the best but I haven't gotten a chance to play them all yet. In time...
Really I have no complaints about this package or game. RE7 was a much needed shot of creativity to the series while returning back to what we loved about RE games in the first place: survival horror.

The game itself is the standard release. Nothing fancy about that.
The console looks like Kratos' axe head. Came out nice I feel. There is a lot of detail with the runes and gold design. However the gray plastic looks and feels cheap.
The controller could have been more unique than just a brand and a logo in the TouchPad. Since runes are such a big deal in the game maybe covering it in gold runes would have been appropriate.

It fits both the PSVR V1 and V2 Headsets fine although the V2's earbuds make it a tighter fit. Has a fabric lens wipe that can tuck into the inner elastic mesh pouch.
This case is STRICTLY for storing the headset. The VR's cables, box, controllers need to be stored in something else.

I have another Contigo bottle that uses the button system to open the mouth slot so I have something to compare this to. I bought this bottle looking for something with a wide opening. This fits the bill for that. It is easy to take the top off and fill it up with ice unlike my previous one(s). The solid clip on the top is ok but I would preferred it be a carabiner style like Contigos other bottles.
Now my biggest issue lies with the button and the hatch for the top. It's easier to bump the button on here than the other Contigo bottles and with that wide mouth opening that means a lot of liquid will quickly spill out. Once it is open it is open. Also the hatch will sometimes get stuck forcing ome to use hands to pop it open.
Honestly I think one is better off buying a more classic style Contigo water bottle than this potential disaster.
