Takes a great Soundbar and makes it even better!

Adding this Bass Module (Subwoofer) to the Soundtouch 300 takes it to a new level of sound performance.
Bose has made setup so simple anyone can do it, just take the Bass Module out of the box, plug it in, press a couple of buttons on the Soundtouch remote and it's linked in a matter of seconds. Right away you notice the additional depth of sound that additional bass can give you. In order to get the best sound possible you need to calibrate the system with ADAPTiQ and the headset that came with your Soundtouch Soundbar. Then it's off to enjoying this very well integrated system. Of note, if you feel the bass that is being output is not sufficient you can then adjust with your remote to your particular taste, I set it up one notch as I like things a little boomier, after that, pure perfection.

Simple Excellence in a Soundbar

This is my first Bose Soundbar, I have had Yamaha and others, but none have compared to this.
Packaging is well thought out and frustration free which is certainly something nice to see. Once out of the box I think I had this set up in less than 10 minutes. With the sources hooked up to my TV via HDMI (FiOS, Apple TV etc) and the Soundtouch hooked up to the TV via the HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) port (most newer TV's over the past few years have this) it could not have been easier. You do have other methods of hook up such as optical and a direct HDMI in to the Soundtouch in the event your TV doesn't have the ARC HDMI port.
The Soundbar started working and switching inputs automatically when changing from input to input which couldn't be easier. The real magic begins after you finalize the set up with ADAPTiQ to calibrate the sound with the included headset.
Just plug the headset in to the ADAPTiQ port on the Soundbar and push a couple of buttons on the remote and you are voice guided through the sound calibration. You have to walk to 5 different listening positions with the headset on and the Soundbar does the rest, it's very straightforward and takes less than 10 minutes.
After that you can enjoy this great sounding Soundbar.
The remote is also universal and programmable to work with your TV and a couple of other components but I have a Harmony Remote and did not use that feature.
Overall this is a sleek very high quality Soundbar that will help with your overall enjoyment of movies etc

Can I use the Acoustimass 300 wireless bass module as the subwoofer for my regular home theater receiver? (wired with LFE cable)
No, this will only work with the Soundtouch 300.

Is the remote control blue tooth? Will my Logitech remote be able to opporate it? I have had issues with some gaming consoles; X-Box for example
The remote receiver is IR and your Logitech Remote will work with it.
