I was thrilled to get a new computer! As a student, it is crucial to have an efficient computer and this one is excellent for work and study. I have also been very pleased with the sound system and widescreen, which is especially good for streaming movies, shows, and videos whenever I need a break from work. The convertible feature adds to its versatility and offers an up-close look at whatever project or assignment I am working on. The touch screen feature gives the user so much control. Essentially, the computer has everything a modern user will need and so much more!
The set-up was fairly easy. The very first time I tested the computer, I was greeted by Cortana, which led me through the entire set-up process (I thought that was neat and entertaining). All it takes is signing in to your Microsoft account(s) and there is also an easy, optional feature that links the computer to your phone. It runs and starts up quickly, without lagging. One of my favorite parts of this computer is that it has 459 GB storage space! Storage is a crucial factor that I consider with all my devices because I love to keep all my photos and important files safely stored and I hate to have to delete some photos to make space for more. It is heavier than my last computer, but it is also a lot bigger. Nonetheless, it is still very portable and the battery life is amazing!
I always prefer having a mouse attached to my laptop and I often need to connect my devices, whether that is to connect my computer to a bigger monitor, import pictures from my camera, or charge my phone or headphones. I am happy that this computer has USB ports that enable all those necessary connections. Webcam quality can definitely improve, but it works well for a computer. The keyboard is smooth and easy-to-use.
I would definitely recommend this laptop to any student and to someone looking for a great every-day use computer. I am confident that this computer will last me a very long time and that it will adequately meet every one of my needs and expectations securely and reliably.

I have a wired Swann security system for my house's the outside perimeter, and I am satisfied with that product. I wanted this another security system for indoor use, and I didn’t want to run wires inside the house, so I got this Swann wireless system. The only wire required is the power cable connected to any wall outlet, which is acceptable for my use and solves running wires throughout the house. It doesn’t need to be wired connected to the NVR device/unit. Each camera has its own power cord and comes with the option of a cord extension. My installation was straightforward. Test the entire system that works properly before securing cameras to a wall. When all looks good, connect the NVR to a router (Wi-Fi or Ethernet), HDMI to TV, optical mouse, and lastly, the unit power connection. Once all is turned on, you will see the cameras on the TV screen, and the startup wizard guides the final setups.
I had no issue completing my setting up of the system, and I am satisfied with the quality of the images and the sound. I like the feature to view and save the recording from the 1 TB local drive or the cloud. The motion detection and active zone work as expected, recording important actions and not wind/gust on moving trees. Overall, I am satisfied with this wireless security system. I recommended it for those who want self-installation without running complicated wires on the attics or all over the premise.

This is my second Anker Soundcore speaker, and I am amazed by this new Mini 3. The sound quality and the bass will blow you away from this small device. You can feel the bass, and astonishingly, sometimes it moves when the bass drops hard. It is tiny, just about four finders tall, the circumference is smaller than a soda can, and the overall size is ⅔ of a soda can. Simple esthetical design with all the basic buttons: power, minus/plus volume, Bluetooth, and the Soundcore play. It is a portable size and lightweight, fits perfectly in most places, like cup holders. It has a lanyard and using a carabiner, you can hang it anywhere. When working on my yard, I use a carabiner and clip the speaker to one of my pant’s belt loops. After a complete charge, it is a simple and instant connection/setup. I highly recommend using the Soundcore App for an enhanced experience and to perform a firmware update on the mini speaker. Using the app allows you to more control, like future firmware updates, customized sound and light, check battery level, adjust volume, and equalizer settings. What I like the most about the app is the LÜM music streaming service. LÜM is Soundcore’s official music streaming partner and is included with the app for free. It has a great selection of music from the various playlist; my favorite playlist is “House Party”. To conclude, this is quite loud and better on the bass than other small portable speakers. Great for jamming music anywhere you can play music, and with the water-resistance feature, you are free to do whatever you want to do with it.

Fast double-sided scanning

With this Canon R40, you can do more scanning in less time and organize all your documents into digital format, resulting in less stress finding documents. This device makes it extremely easy to convert a lot of documents into high-quality digital format. I removed all protective shipping packaging/tape from the machine and connected the power cord. Next, I went online to download the software from Canon’s website for this specific scanner. I followed the installation wizard, connected the machine to my laptop using the included USB cable, and completed the setup. It took me about 12 minutes. What makes this efficient is the capability of doing double-sided document scans at the same time. It handles very well, mixed-size documents properly without getting paper jammed. All documents get saved to the appropriate digital size; if it is a receipt, it gets saved as a small document size. It rarely happens, but when the document gets scanned twisted, the software programs align it correctly. For personal and businesses, I use an expense management system software to help manage finances, so scanning receipts is my primary use of this scanner. It does an excellent job at different scanning sizes of receipts, and I haven’t experience paper jamming. It does very well handling even thin and light receipts. The receipts get filed as JPG in the appropriate destination. Compared to multi-purpose printers with scanners, the speed of this scanner is impressive even with double-sided scanning. Note that this is not a wireless device and it uses an USB cable (included) to connect to a computer. Overall, the scanning quality is excellent; it is straightforward to use and makes document filing less stressful.

Great multi-function printer

This printer is excellent, especially when you get tired of doing spontaneous frequent ink cartridge replacement. I have printed many pages so far, and there is still plenty of ink in the ink containers. After removing all shipping items from the printer, I plugged the printer and followed the simple instructions. I placed the ink containers in the printer and proceeded with downloading and installing the appropriate driver for this specific printer on the Brother website. The entire setup did not take more than 20 minutes, and I could also print from my mobile phone. I like the Brother Mobile Connect App that allows the users to print from anywhere with a mobile device. You can also use your phone to scan, copy and photograph prints. The print quality is very sharp, excellent color prints, and deep rich dark blacks. My wife uses the printer for last-minute print photos for her book collage projects; she loves how colorful the photo prints come out. Scanning is easy and quick with the front panel button. I do not have a landline at my office, so I can't comment on the fax feature. I am pleased with this printer's multi-functionality, print quality, sharp and clear prints, and impressive printing speed.

Headset with impressive noise-cancelling

This BlueParrot headset is excellent for everyday use and comes in very handy when on the go. The most prominent feature, which is impressive, is the headset's ability to block out background noise; this feature is for the mic (user's voice), not the speakers. All calls come out loud and clear no matter where you are using the headset. Other people on the line will hear you loud and clear, without distortion and very little background noise. Very impressive! It is ultra-lightweight, comfortable to use even during prolonged use, and has extended battery life. I like the design, which I can charge with any USB-C connector (the box includes a charging cord). Other headsets have their own unique charging cables or base, and when you can't find it or lose it, you won't be able to charge it. The device is rated for dust and water protection, can be used in raining or when sweating. There is a BlueParrot app that enhances the usage of the headset and to customize some features. The main button, the blue parrot, by default is mute, but it can be changed to speed dial or push-to-talk. The app has a soundcheck function, where you record yourself speaking and then playback to hear how it sounds. One improvement needed is the speaker sound; at total volume, the sound isn't loud. This is ok since the headset isn't for music listening; it is for talking. I love using this headset, especially when driving, on the go, or in a noisy environment. Overall, I am satisfied with this product; it is lightweight, has long battery life and convenient charging, impressive noise-canceling, and comfortable.

Great smart glasses with eye protection

Razer is genuinely pushing the technology in the gaming industry, reflecting with this new Anzu smart glasses. These are cutting-edge smart glasses that connect to devices (PC or mobile), provide eye protection, and immerse the ears with sound. The greater utility and eye protection are perfect for working from home, enjoying entertainment, playing video games, and outdoor activities. To prevent damage from outdoor activities, I highly recommend using a neck strap retainer cord/chain holder. Glass holders cost around seven dollars, which is cheaper than having the entire glass replaced. I feel like the pre-installed blue light filtering lens does a great job since now, after using these glasses, my eyes are less tired. Besides reducing eye strain, the filter lens lessens screen glare very well. Now after long screen usage, these glasses make my eyes feel fresh and focused. The kit comes with replacement polarized sunglasses that are very nice to use.
Bluetooth's connectivity is excellent, and I always get smooth, stutter-free sound, no audio delay nor skipping. The mic on the glasses works flawlessly; all my calls are heard clearly. I have not tested the mic in a noisy environment, so I do not know how they will perform in this situation.
Controls for the audio are conveniently located on the side of the glasses. Like most high-quality wireless headphones, they have a sleek touch interface with a simple touch one can manage calls, play/pause music, change music tracks, and even activate your device’s voice assistant.
The kit comes with a protective case, charging cords, and travel case. Placement of the charging cables on the glasses could be improved slightly, set at a different location, or maybe include a charging dock. The over-the-ear speakers on the frame are water-resistant, which makes this device great for outdoor activity. Overall, these are great smart glasses. This gaming mouse is designed for right-handed grip, and both sides allow for a good grip. The shape feels soft and comfortable. I like that this product is an ultra-lightweight mouse, just weighing 0.7 grams. Note that there are no additional weights for those who want it heavy. There are six (6) buttons which I find to be all located in easy-to-reach positions: (1) forward, (2) back, (3) dpi cycle, (4) middle-click/scroll wheel, and the Quickstrike (5) left and (6) right clicks. The wheel has a satisfactory motion while scrolling. All the buttons have consistent clicking and don’t feel too heavy. I like this DPI button because it doesn’t change randomly (accidentally); I have to focus on changing the DPI setting. The sensor performance and feel are excellent, with very smooth and jitter-free tracking. Three colored LED lights are located in the logo, the DPI indicator, and the scroll wheel. The cable cord is braided/paracord, light, looks very nice, and doesn’t drag it. The Corsair iCUE software works with this mouse to enable quick DPI adjustment, with custom macros or button remaps for all the mouse buttons. With the software, if desired, one can synchronize the setups of the RGB lighting effects. To conclude, this is a good gaming mouse. It is ultra-lightweight, buttons click are immediate and responsive.

Comprehensive and excellent internet security

This Norton internet security system is the best because it is really comprehensive and valuable. There is an increase of articles about cyberattacks, and now attackers are looking at gamers. Gamers interact with many people online, which increases the possibility of getting attackers who want to take advantage to get gaming accounts to sell them on the black market. Gamers and I included use hundreds or even thousands of dollars on games, such as World of Warcraft, Fortnite skins, Steam or Epic library, Twitch, Discord, and others. Norton has a tone of features to protect gamers. Its Dark Web Monitoring functions by placing a gamer’s identity on Norton’s System. Norton will monitor the dark web to see if any of your information is part of a breach or they are being mentioned in the dark web. If the system detects something, it sends a notification alert. After I activated my Norton account, I received a couple of notifications that old accounts from various sites had a breach. The notification had information of what was breached, such as the site, the login ID, and even the password used. After this, I made some changes and deactivated some things I no longer use. What is great about this is that Norton monitors your gaming information on the dark web. It also does the same on email addresses, online accounts, financial information, and other personal information. I feel like this Dark Web Monitoring feature definitely makes Norton the best internet security system.
A major issue with other internet security is the interruption of security notifications while playing a game. What Norton for Gamer does is that it just places important notifications into a log file. If something gets downloaded while playing and Norton deems it safe, the notification will be placed on the log file. You won’t get a pop-up notification while using the full-screen mode because all notifications are being saved in the background. You will only get a notification when you are currently under a cyber-attack by, or someone is trying to hack your computer. On the other hand, you will get a notification if there is a security issue; for example, if something gets downloaded and has an infection, you don’t want to miss this type of notification and want to take immediate action.
Another included feature is VPN, which is great when accessing personal information or steaming to prevent exposure and secure privacy online. This included is huge because you don’t need to buy a VPN service from another vendor; you are getting it all together. I use Norton’s cloud storage feature to store many non-gaming files to save room on my pace drive. My hard drive is no longer cluttered, and I have more free space to install more games. Norton includes the SafeCam feature, which sends a notification when a program starts to use your camera. You definitely want to get these alerts, especially when you never requested a program to access a camera.

Excellent permanent outdoor streaming system

I finally installed an outdoor speaker system in my backyard. Whenever I had a patio event or screen projection outdoor movies, it was some inconvenience using portable speakers and especially putting them away before the blood-sucking mosquitos come out. This system is a great idea for a permanent outdoor entertainment solution rather than many portable outdoor speakers. A dedicated setup will allow a better listening experience.
This Sonos Amp is a smart amplifier that powers passive speakers (indoor/outdoor), transmitting an impressive 125 watts of power per channel. The speakers are loud and deliver a pristine sound. The casing is made of hard solid glass fiber, and its mounting brackets are solid metal (probably aluminum), both of which have a good coat of matte white eggshell color. Compared to traditional amplifiers, this system doesn’t take a lot of space and uses the least amount of wires. The front of the Amp has the basic touch buttons, play/pause, and volume control. This minimalistic look allows the placement of the amplifier in any room in the house. The back of the system is the main power cord connection, two speaker terminals (set includes banana plugs for simplified and neat connection), an RCA line (optional connection of a turntable, a CD player, or any other audio component), a line-out for a subwoofer (not included), and an HDMI ARC for TV. I use the HDMI connection to watch a movie when I have an outdoor movie projection. If you want to use a 3.5 mm stereo female AUX, use a 2-RCA male adapter and connect it to the RCA line in the Amp.
The connection cables allowed are up to 14-gauge (not included). The outdoor speaker connects using the wires to the Sonos Amp, which must be placed indoors. For best performance, I mounted my speakers at ear levels. With the impressive 125 watts of power per channel, I am sure you can connect two and maybe three speakers per channel.
Conclusion: Properly installed, the speakers and the Amp will give you many years of outdoor entertainment. One of the biggest benefits of having a separate amplifier and speaker system is the capability to upgrade any of them in the future. But, rest assured that the Sonance system will provide many years of entertainment pleasure. This system is truly a perfect outdoor entertainment; it is all-weather resistance, loud and delivers pristine sound all the time, and looks very nice.

The eufy - IndoorCam Mini is not designed for outdoor video recording, it is not weather resistant. It does record every movement.

Can this indoor camera be set up in a window to record outdoor activity? I can’t use a doorbell camera due to a porch pillar blocking the view of the mailbox. I am looking for something to capture both the mailbox and the porch steps.
Yes, it could work on a window, but make sure the night vision feature is turned off in the setting. Night camera emits infrared light to capture images in the dark. If infrared is emitted in front of a window, it will be reflected to the camera and distort the image. Just turn off the night vision.

It has a long battery life and it has the feature to use a power bank. One of the USB-C ports is Type-C PD, power delivery, which will allow you to use and charge the laptop with a power bank. According to the warranty card (ASUS Warranty Card e14568 v4), "This Warranty applies in the county or purchase". On page 7 of the warranty card, #4 ASUS DOES NOT perform warranty service outside the county where you bought the Notebook.

It is an anti-reflective matte screen, not glossy at all. The screen is not reflective at all, so I think it would work for outdoor use.

It says in the specs that there is no Front-Facing Camera when I believe they added it in these models. So, does it have the webcam?
Yes it does. The ASUS - ROG 16" WUXGA 144Hz Gaming Laptop does have a Front-Facing Camera. The webcam image quality is good quality. See my attached image of the front facing camera.
