Love the game, not the controls

I still remember when this first debuted at E3. It looked like such a fantastic game, and everyone was pretty excited for it. Fast forward a couple years, and it looked as though this game would never be getting out of development. Well, it's finally here! Unfortunately, all that time seems to have aged this game tremendously. It's still good-looking, but I don't think it'll ever look as good as it did back in 2009. Nevertheless, it's worth playing just to see how Trico (the giant bird-cat-thing) reacts to you and the world, although it hurts me every time Trico gets hurt. Also, controls are definitely wonky. It's a bit frustrating, but you get past it. Would not recommend playing this game in one long sitting - it's best to break it up to avoid getting into that rut where you become annoyed by the controls.

Finally, a Pokemon game has arrived in HI! It's a huge leap from the previous Pokemon games, considering how everything is just so 3D. The little details, like taller NPCs looking down to talk to you, or your character bending down to talk to children, really makes this game feel alive, among other things. I'm hoping they keep this going in future Pokemon games!

I just want to get this out of the way - I've never played a FF game before FFXV. But after playing this game, I definitely want to try some of the older games!
All of the characters are just so memorable, and the voice acting is just superb. It really brings the characters to life, and their individual tics just show really well through the animation and character models. It's just so much fun to play through the sidequests and listen to the Chocobros bicker and poke fun at each another. I'm also a fan of the action combat because I don't exactly like the wait style combat of previous FF games. So for me, it's a definite plus.
I'm desperately hoping for the Chocobos to make an appearance in KH3!!!

Atlus has always been amazing with their special editions, and this one is no different. For just $12 more, you get a host of collectible goodies and a box with beautiful artwork. Not to mention that Morgana plushie!!
As for the game itself, it is SO GOOD. Definitely worth all the delays. Game is heavy on the story, but that's the main reason to play it for anyways. The Persona series has always been a joy for me to play, and I love getting to know all of the characters through their social links, or confidants, as they are called in this game.
Do you need to play the previous Persona games to play this one? Nope. It's a separate story all on its own, but you'll miss out on some Easter eggs if you haven't played Persona 3 or Persona 4. Also - what are you doing with your life if you haven't played P3 or P4??? It's a fantastic JRPG series.
