Bright Readable Picture / Basic Features

If you are looking for a projector only focused on image projection then this product is for you. However if you wish to have more functionality I would recommend going with the upgraded model. It is easy to tell this is the lower end model as it lacks a lot of features and does not include WiFi adapter for wireless connection.

The software CD is pretty much a waste and is Epson's way to push you to register the device. Once you insert the CD it prompt to install software however is very misleading. It only installs a manual then pulls up a register online with a 10% off promotion. After completion it then provides a link to their website to install the actual software. I would recommend to save you the time, do not use the CD and go directly to their site to install the software. The software itself is very basic, it provides more of a monitoring option and shows what is being displayed. I found myself just using the Windows 10 MS built in feature to display onto the projector.

The features may be limited compared to competitors at same price however the features that are provided work great.
The ECO settings allow for customization of light Optimization , sleep mode / sleep timer standby Mode, etc. This is a nice feature to allow it to self power down to save the light bulb.
The Power Consumption menu pretty much allows you to enable or disable the ECO settings.
The Keystone help correcting the corners of the projected screen to make it even on uneven surfaces. It is a nice option instead of trying to continually move the unit itself.
The Color Mode allows you to change between presets: Dynamic / Presentation / Cinema / sRGB / Blackboard.
The Menu allows full access to all the features available the system. The additional item is Network which allows you to switch between LAN or wireless setup. However if you do not have a wireless adapter the wireless will allow you to setup however will not work.
The Help on the menu helps with network setup however does not go into much more details.
Overall this is a nice projector that included a carry case which was a nice touch. However if looking for a more functional device would recommend investing in the higher end model.

Easy Setup Great Admin Features

The Linksys WiFi Range extender is a good product that was easy to setup and has a good set of administration tools. The setup went very quick after taking out of the box and powering it up. You have an option of going through WPS or browser. I went through the browser as I have a lot of custom settings for my home network. The browser setup was very easy to follow step by step, including when having to unplug / physically relocate WiFi extender for a better location. The 4 antenna's are made very well and durable attached to the black casing. This is a big plus as other products that skimp on this causing the antennas to easily break off.

I really enjoyed this feature as it helps when trying to find the perfect spot within the home to place the Extender. The graph is very easy to understand and refreshes real time.

Access Control:
For extra security you can lock down access to devices MAC address. This is a really nice feature that you do not find on a lot of extenders and can be used to help create 2 "zones" for wireless devices.

This allows you to change the password for the device as well as create a backup of the configuration. I strongly recommend to change the password as soon as possible and once configured to create a backup file. You never know when you will have to restore the device and will save a lot of time.

Log:
The log provides details of devices connected and the system device activities like Firmware checks. The log is not real time however does have a "refresh" option you can use to check for the latest activities. The logs are helpful for checking which Wireless/Ethernet devices have used the extender or if the latest firmware has been updated. You can also export the log file for record keeping which is a great feature.

Diagnostics:
This provides a ping test to an IP address or URL going through the Extender itself. This is a great troubleshooting tool you do not see on a lot of WiFi extenders and glad to see it on here. You can ping your internal devices to check for packet loss as well as ping outside your network to check internet connection.

This provides physical Ethernet connection and packet information. This is a great feature to help determine when a cabling issue arise. Upstream Network Statistics:
This provides a read out of your Upstream from your router to your extender device. This has detailed information of Signal strength , Signal quality, Link Rate, Channel Width and band. The information on here is extremely helpful and so glad to see Linksys makes it easy to provide this information

Overall this is a great WiFi extender that I would recommend for anyone who is finding low signal / dead spots within their network. I have not experienced any issues so far and enjoy the Administration features this device is able to perform.

I was in the market to change out my security system from the pre-built one and decided to try out SimpliSafe. I have been very impressed with the product and the ease of the install / setup

Setup / Install was very easy and there are audible walk-through's. The first step is to plug in the main hub and it will go into "Test Mode" which allows you to setup all the sensors. There is an app you can download on your cell phone as well however I chose not to use the app.
The Sensors for the doors and windows have both the sticky strip and screws. I chose to use the sticky and so far it has remained in place without any issues. The sensor has a magnetic bar you line up with the senor itself between 2 markers on the casing. The magnetic bar also has sticky strip on it incase the surface is not magnetic.
The main hub has been very reliable and when my power went off one night due to storms it remained on without any hesitation of the power switching from AC to Battery. My only concern is being unable to select the cellular service upon purchase as some cell services are weaker than others. I have not experienced the issue however was informed you can call into their customer service to have another Cellular service SIM card installed.
The keyfob has been easy to use, has good reach range and lightweight to carry on my key-chain.
Signs / Spikes are provide to alert would be criminals that your house is protected. They are decent plastic board that if not careful will fly away on windy days..
Subscription service was easy to setup, it cost about 15 bucks a month which is not bad and competitive with other security companies. Upon purchase it comes with a 1 year subscription service.

I have been extremely impressed with the Sony Portable Speaker. I am not a fan of portable speakers because it always seemed to be lacking in high treble or deep bass. Needless to say this one from Sony has pleasantly surprised me! There are so many hidden features and the music sounds great ! My only complaint is the learning curve and lapse of instructions on how to use all the nice features.

The very first thing you want to do after paring up the speaker is go into the Sony Music Center - settings - other settings and change the Bluetooth Codec to "Auto". The feature modifies the audio streaming playback quality between "Priority on sound quality” and “Priority on stable connection” modes. By default it is set to stable connection SBC which reserves the bandwidth and limits sound quality. Change it to Auto and it will then be set to "Priority on sound quality" and Optimize codec automatically for AAC, LDAC, and SBC.

Party Booster:
The speaker has a unique feature depending on where you tap it, a sound effect will play. The customization is vast, you have 2 presets "Drum Kit" and "Precussion" however the most fun is when you select "Custom" and see the huge library of sound effects at your disposal. Nothing is more fun then taping the speaker and shocking your friends nearby.

These features allow you to setup multiple SRS-XB21 (or compatible speakers) together in a chain or specify their position individually. You can add up to 100 speakers it says but I have no way of testing that. It is nice to be able to add 2 of them and specify one for left channel and one for right. Voice Assistance / Calling Feature:
The Mic is located at the top of the speaker and is pretty sensitive, in a room the other person can hear you clearly however when outside it becomes very difficult. Also note if using Voice Assistance you can to talk louder then the music playing so either lower the volume or be ready to yell so the mic can pick you up.

Power Options:

Nice Features / Tooth Brush Too Small

This was my first time using an electric tooth brush so decided to try it out with the Philips Sonicare. Overall I enjoyed the product however my only concern was the brush itself is way too small for my large mouth. For anyone trying out an electric toothbrush for the first time it does take a little getting use too as you find yourself going at a different pace along with having your mouth vibrate. The Philips Sonicare comes with 4 features that are helpful and you can disable them if you like which is a nice added bonus.

The battery is "Technically" removable however it says only to remove when disposing the product and voids your warranty so would advise against it unless absolutely necessary. The Charge station is nice, small and does not take up a lot of room. The time it takes to fully charge was surprisingly quick which is nice when having to pick up and run.

Brush Head Replacement::
This feature tracks how often you have used the brush and the amount of pressure used over time. It is assuming the more usage the more the bristles wear down to where you have to push harder to feel it cleaning. You are able to deactivate this feature as well however I left it on as its a nice reminder when needing to replace the brush head.

Pressure Senor::
I really like this feature because I always have a bad habit of pressing hard on my tooth brush. When the Philips Sonicare notices you are pressing too hard it drastically reduces the vibration to notify you to not press so hard. Once you relieve the pressure it resumes the normal vibration level. I would recommend leaving this feature on however you can disable this feature as well if needed.

The Sony Wireless Headset was very comfortable and had a good range of sound when listening between different genre's of music. My only concern is there is a little delay through the Bluetooth and the headset. It is not noticeable when streaming music however if you are playing a game that has quick time alerts you will see it on the phone screen seconds before hearing it within the headset. Otherwise the headset puts out good high treble levels and good bass levels
The mic on the headset is nice however will become hard to hear if in windy areas. There is a nice feature of using the Android NFC option via phone camera to link up to the headset however I found it just as easy to enable Bluetooth and locate that way.
The product says battery life is 20 hours, however after heavy usage it was more like 15 hours which is not bad. Unfortunately re-charging does take some time as it appears it does not have a "fast charge" feature.
Overall this is a nice product that is reasonably priced.

I have been using AVG software since its creation back in the 90's. It was a little known free program that detected majority of virus and ran at half the resources that name brand Anti-Virus software ran. It is now 2018 and I remain as impressed as I was back then. This software is a must buy for anyone who wish to ensure they do not receive any viruses on their computer and looking for an easy way to keep computer tuned.

The software itself comes in a small package or can be downloaded off their website. My situation, I went to their website, downloaded the free version and bought a key from BestBuy. The download and install occurred very quickly and step by step instruction was very helpful for those who are not technical in nature. Once installed the software comes configured with recommended settings which I would strongly suggest not to modify unless you know what you are doing. The software takes up to 1.13GB in size however has very low resource utilization. In fact, the resource demands are so low you can run this on low end computers with ease. You will need to create a "My AVG" account however this will help keep track of license expiration, purchase history, promotional material and online support. The software also auto updates your virus definitions to ensure you are always up to date. The software provides a "Zen Dashboard" that make it easy to navigate between the Anti-Virus software and PC Tune up.

Once done you can choose to "Fix & Clean" or click on each item to additional options. I really enjoy the added ability to go into each section and specify additional items I feel comfortable in cleaning. To test the clean up performance I used two computers, installed/uninstalled (multiple times) massive programs, restarted the computer and ran the PC TuneUp software on only one machine. Using CPU-Z, I was able to see the difference in utilization compared on both machines. The end result was the machine with PCTuneUp had large noticeable performance increase on bootload and program load times.

I have not created a performance profile or used Turbo Mode so will be unable to speak to those features. I have not experienced any issues placing applications to "sleep" then having them wake up when I launch them. Each application launched without any errors or slowness. A nice addition is along the bottom it provides some reporting tools and logs for those who enjoy numbers and stats. I really am impressed at the amount of details you can pull from this information and works great when needing to review pc performance over a 6 month span.

You can specify what hard drive you wish to scan and it will categorize it by Pictures, Folders, Others, Documents. On the right side it will show the actual file and indicate a number of times its a duplicate. Again I would strongly recommend to review and backup before deleting anything as this software sometimes detects duplicate items that were duplicated on purpose. The System Cache & Logs provided a detailed window of items you wish to clean. Note you can also access this window if you go into the maintenance function advance settings. I use this feature alot as alot of items within the window I feel safe to delete/clear for space. The Clean Up Browser function is my favorite as it will provide options to clean all browsers currently installed onto the computer. This helps centralize clean up in one easy window without having to go into each browser. Just like the addition of the row at the bottom of speed up section, the Clean Up section has 4 additional options on the bottom of the screen for those looking for specific ways to clean up the harddrive. My favorite function is the Secure Delete Files option. You can also "right-click" on any file to use AVG shredder but this feature allows for secure way of permanently deleting a file when needed.

I typically like to run a Deep Scan every other month just to make sure no malware snuck by and the Boot-Time Scan once a quarter. Both are more on the extreme side of scanning however feel its better to be safe then sorry.

I typically like to run a Deep Scan every other month just to make sure no malware snuck by and the Boot-Time Scan once a quarter. Both are more on the extreme side of scanning however feel its better to be safe then sorry.

Good Small Portable Mouse

I was impressed with the Logitech G603 mouse as I am not a fan of Bluetooth and usually prefer a wired mouse. I decided to try this one out as I needed a portable mouse for my laptop and was pleasantly surprised. The mouse is the right size for portability without it being extremely small for my hands like other mouse's. I was concerned at first when taking it out of the box of how light it felt however once you place the batteries in it, its weighted pretty nicely. Setup was very easy, just plug in play for both the Bluetooth receiver and the mouse once its powered. It comes with an extension USB cord to help provide extra distance if needed. Speaking of distance I was impressed of how far the reach is and how accurate the mouse response was. The clicking is loud and feels plastic however that does not bother me but may bother others if they are in a very quiet setting. Overall I would recommend this product for anyone with large hands looking for a portable mouse that is not too small. Also if you enjoy mouse button customization there is no software bundled with this mouse. You would have to use the windows mouse options or 3rd party to customize configuration.

What can I say , they are bulbs, expensive ones yet high quality made so you do not feel cheated. The bulbs work right out of the box, you screw them in and turn them on. However if you want the WIFI / App functionality you will need to ensure you have the Hue Bridge. I wish the bulbs themselves had WIFI built in to make things easier, however if you are buying the bulbs more then likely you have a Hue Bridge. There is a double layer casing to help protect the bulb from decaying from touch as well as the housing fits in most light fixtures. Be sure to read the box as there are "White Ambiance" bulbs as well as "White and Color Ambiance" bulbs

Overall I would recommend this product if you are interested in controlling all your lights with an app. It is energy efficient, fun to modify/change lights and very convenient when away from the room / house.

There is not a manual setting however there are load sensors inside that will allow the system to judge how much water to use.

Yes you can use pods however will have to throw in with the clothes as the soap dispenser does not completely dissolve the pod.

will this stream net flix and amazon? this is probably a stupid question, but I need help.
Its ok , do not feel silly asking as I am sure there are others out there with the same question. Yes it will stream both and the quality is just as good as Roku however the Netflix version on Amazon TV/Firestick will not show the actually video quality in the status during play. I am always checking to make sure Netflix is streaming the show at 720p or 1080p as it can change during play and that was a little disappointing when I discovered I couldn't on Amazon TV/Firestick

Yes Bingo TV and Sling TV does have the option however will require a subscription.

Can you stream new movie releases?
As long as you have a subscription to one of the movie channels like Hulu+, Amazon and CinemaNow you will.
