I purchased the JBL and the Vizio 4551 and compared both back to back. First off the JBL sounds very good , crisp highs decent mids not as good as the Klipsch sound bar as far as mids.. The subwoofer puts out alot of low-end , will shake your walls and the added crossover control is great . I wish JBL would have put a level control on the sub also. The virtual sound mode does an extremely good job of recreating surround sound. The bad is the remote is horrible!!!! Way to small and when adjusting bass and volume levels I like some sort of reference where levels are at. JBL should have put LEDs on the sound bar for a reference or put an adjustable level on the sub next to the crossover control. JBL should also add the option of wireless rear speakers!!! Overall it's an awesome sound bar !!!!. I ended up returning it for the Vizio 4551 which both sounded pretty close. The Vizio sub is plenty loud !! Close to the JBL.. The Vizio just had more sound options and the remote was way better ,plus the smart cast app and rear surround. JBL maybe next version the 500 series add the option of rear wireless speakers and fix that remote it's horrible and you'll have a 5 star product still an awesome sound bar if you don't need 5.1...

I purchased three sound bars and tried them side by side at home . First was the Samsung WH-K550 overall great sounding 5.1 with the added wireless speakers everything synced with no issues. Great sounding overall.Great remote better than the Vizio and JBL. The one draw back was the lack of low-end that the sub put out .When playing music it was decent but with movies I needed more lowend even with the sub at max level. Next was the JBL SB-450 first impressions amazing low-end and that this sub woofer can put out! . Literally shook pictures on the walls. Best sub of the three sound bars I tried. It has an adjustable crossover on the subwoofer which is an awesome feature . Sound bar sounded great! when the surround feature turned on it did a great job of giving the impression of having rear speakers. Crisp highs also . The remote was horrible very small and no indication of where the bass levels where at or volume I like to have some indication as a reference point and also you can't add wireless rear speakers :( . Overall i had a hard time deciding I was going back and forth between the Vizio and the JBL and both sounded very similar . The Vizio was the winner for a few reasons. One having rear speakers , better remote and sound options, and Vizio smart app which makes it easy to change settings and see where your settings are at. Paring the sub at first was a pain and I had to update the sound bar through the smart app. I think people have issues and bad reviews with the unit dropping connection/paring because it needs to be updated through the app. The current update takes care of syncing issues etc. The subwoofer of the Vizio is great very loud plenty of low-end almost as much as the JBL . Overall it's the best option for around $400 out there period . The JBL is no joke and sounds killer I spent two days with both and they sound very similar but the Vizio offered a tad more in options. If JBL came out with wireless rear speakers and fix that horrible small remote and add some type of indication of level adjustments like lights on the sound bar like Vizio I would take the JBL in a heart beat.. I tried the Klipsch R-20 also which had the best sounding soundbar more mids and overall sound quality but once again the subwoofer was lackluster! For $500. You can't go wrong With the Vizio or JBL 450 try them both..

After all the researching i did i narrowed it down to the Hisence,Samsung 8000 and LG Oled to me those are the 3 4k tv's to get. Price difference between all are huge!!! Decent for $800 i couldn't justify paying twice the price for the Samsung 8000 series and the 65" OLED was way out of my price range all better lookingTV's . This will hold me over for two years until Oled prices come down.. The two negative things i have to say about the TV is the light bleed on dark scenes and the built in wifi i cant seem to download more than 40MB even though my Fios is 75/75 package... Wish you could store custom picture settings and use the remote for quick comparisons.Up scaling is decent but 720P streams arent the best and you can see the grays in the black but the TV is the best at 1080/4k as are most 4K tvs. Still messing around with screen settings . Cant comment on sound i use a soundbar setup but factory speakers sound decent for a TV but surround is a must..
