Seems to be pretty fast, but sometimes it's unresponsive and I have to unplug it and plug it back in. Also the software is only for mac, so yes you can burn stuff from your mac and watch movies with this external drive but the extra software isn't at all compatible with Apple products. So yea, it does a good job when it wants to. It burned an 80 minute long music playlist in just under a 3 and a half minutes. It is much cheaper than an Apple external player.

I use it with my MacBook pro and it works well with no problems, though when I had to reconfigure for my Mac I had a bit of difficulty encrypting it, but I did it. 4 stars because it's made of plastic, simply because it could be damaged easily. This will never leave my room so I'm perfectly fine with it, but if you plan on taking this places, get something more durable if you can.

Very nice picture at a nice price, fit nicely in my bed room but at 32" I still like to be across the room when I use it. Reason it's not 5 star is that the stands are difficult to put on and when I attached the stands for it the TV was wobbly, so it's a small thing but very tedious. Everything else was good.
