Good cord, wire is of the appropriate (or perhaps slightly better) gauge for this function. Some will complain that it doesn't come with the range, but unless you have a newer home or updated your electrical system you might need an "old" type wire.

I have no cable. Can I use rabbit ears to receive over the air broadcasts ?
Yes, but I'd recommend an outside mounted antenna if you run into problems. I pick up some HD local channels without an antenna, but it will vary by how close you live to their transmitters.
