This is your average minimalist protective cover. It protects the back and sides of your phone from damage. The small lip which provides front impact protection only works if it hits squarely on the top or bottom of the phone.
If you are careful with your phone and aren't prone to dropping it, then this is a good case for the price. If you have children who grab your phone or tend to be rough on your phone you may want to consider a different case.

Good product lots of potential

A good product with a lot of potential. Some of the current software out there will give a user a good idea of the possibilities of the device. However, it comes at a price. On a personal level I don't use the device enough to really make investment in software worth it at this point.
Had it not come packaged with my phone, I doubt I would have purchased it.

Work, rest and play with the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. A massive 5.5-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen goes all the way to the edges of the phone so that you get the maximum area possible to work with. Solid water resistance, great processing and masses of memory round out this Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.

Overall I consider this a good phone. Clarity, battery life, functionality are all well above average. Reality is there is really only one design issue which keeps this phone from being 5 stars.
In order to create the "edge" effect design requires three layers to create a functional screen. Unfortunately the screen seems to be more fragile than other previous Samsung products (e.g. S3, Note, S6). Where it becomes problematic, is any damage to the outer glass requires a full replacement of the outer glass, LCD screen, and inner glass. Thus if a buyer does not pay for insurance, they could end up paying as much as 50% of the phone's original cost. Even with insurance the cost can be $150 to $200.
Ultimately the best insurance is a full protective case ($50 - $80) and a screen protector ($25 - $40). Despite the fact I use the edge tabs habitually, I think the only real feature which makes it better (for my use) than the S7 is the slightly larger screen.
You can go wrong with either phone, but consider protecting you purchase and not skimping on a protective cover/case and screen protector.
