The sound quality is very good for something this small, but just so-so overall. Especially for $300. My Harmon Kardon plays louder and with more bass for $100 or so on sale, but is large and clunky, doesn't play as loud on battery, has shorter battery life and is not waterproof. For pool or beach use, the Bose wins. The old saying is still true, "no highs, no lows, they must be Bose." I wish it was an inch larger in diameter so it had more bass. On the positive side, the controls are excellent, it is easy to carry and the battery lasts forever. I wish it came with a traveling case. My $99 JBL came with a nice neoprene zipper case.

Very disappointing

Contrary to what you might think, you have to put the speaker down in precisely the exact correct position. You cannot be a 16th of an inch off in either direction or it will not connect. I think it might even fall off if you let go of it without it being in the exact spot. It would be much quicker to use the micro USB. Very very disappointing. The only plus side is that it is extremely quick just to pick it up. Otherwise, it's not worth it. It should be re-engineered where you simply set it down on the base in any position and it work.

After looking at the reviews I have decided to buy a Revolve+ speaker, I like the Lux Gray on my computer screen but would like to confirm that this is a silver gray before ordering online? Also does it look odd on the black charging base? Thanks!
It's very nice looking, it's the one I have. I wouldn't recommend the base, so no problem.
