Best Do It Yourself Home Security

This security camera system is the best I have used to date and I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for an affordable option to keep their homes and families safe:
Pros:
- Set up is extremely easy. You install the Arlo app on your phone and are up and running within 10 minutes.
- The system is expandable. This one comes with 2 cameras but you can add more.
- The picture and sound clarity is excellent (1080p video)
- The cameras can be placed almost anywhere very easily and have decent range. I mounted one that faces our front door. The magetic mount makes adjusting the angle simple and quick.
- Battery life on these wireless cameras is fantastic. I was still at or near 100% after 3 days on one camera as they conserve power by only recording video when motion or sound is detected.
- You can customize alerts. You can get emails sent when movement or sound occurs or you can choose to get push notifications to your phone. (Or both!). If something suspicious is occurring, you can then call the authorities.
- Monthly fees are optional for more features like longer video storage, but the free option does everything I need it to.
- There is a push to talk feature where you can speak with people that are being filmed. So these cameras can take the place of any video doorbell system that you may have considered.

- The trade off to having the wireless cameras that are easy to mount and adjust is that they are also easy to steal. Someone could do a snatch and run if they know where they are and can stay out of camera view. It's best to mount them out of easy reach or to find a way to secure them if you are worried about this.

Excellent Cordless Vacuum at a Great Price

This is my 2nd high powered cordless vacuum and I was very pleased with its performance.
Pros:
- It comes with a 2 year warranty. Most vacuums are only 1 year.
- When using the floor brush, it has a nice swivel function to make it easy to turn.
- The crevice attachment is handy for vacuuming in between cushions.
- There are two suction power levels. You can conserve battery life or use the boost mode for the heavier jobs.
- The dust bin is easy to detach and empty/clean.
- It comes with a 2 year warranty. Most vacuums are only 1 year.

The Simplisafe Defend home security system is ideal for those that want safety at a budget price.
Pros:
- Set-up was very easy. Even folks with low technical skill should do fine.
- The system is expandable, allowing you to add additional functionality like smoke detectors and cameras.

- The packaging needs improvement. My keychain remote was loose inside the box when I first opened it. Some sensors were not well secured in the box either.
- Unless you pay for the service, you cannot get notifications on your phone when there is activity in the home. I would have liked for this to be included free with the product. I can contact the police on my own if needed, based on what the system has detected.

I do not have pets so I could not verify that the motion sensors do not get set off by them.
Overall, this is a good starter system for just about anyone. It's simple set-up and ability to expand its functionality makes it worth the cost. And if you pay for the monthly service, you will likely be spending far less than if you go with a large home alarm company that can charge $30+ per month.

Stylish and Functional

I'll start off by saying that I am not a fan of cordless earphones. I do not like the risk of them falling out and getting lost.
With that being said, these wireless earbuds performed extremely well and exceeded my expectations. Here are some of the things I liked most:
- The travel case is innovative. You get 4 hours of power for the earbuds, but the charging pod is small enough to fit in your pocket and can provide additional juice as needed - and quickly. The case is really cool, with LEDs on the outside to indicate charging.
- Sound quality exceeded my expectations and rivals other mid to high tier brands.
- The Bluetooth connection was excellent. I have several sets of earbuds that cut out here and there even when my phone is close. I did not experience any dropped audio, even when 15+ feet away from my phone with this set.
- These Jaybirds come with 4 sets of fins and tips to make sure you can find the perfect fit for your ears.
- You are prompted with power level info when turning the buds on.
- It is very easy to pause and resume with a press to the right bud.
- The left bud button allows for easy activation of your phone for voice commands.

Excellent Vacuum at a Reasonable Price

There are a handful of robotic vacuums on the market these days. This one falls in the middle of the high end and low end from a price perspective. With performance, it leans toward the high end, making it a good value purchase.
My other robotic vacuum has ledge sensors that prevents it from vacuuming over anything black. This prevents me from using it in my living room which has a carpet with multiple black circles. This was very annoying and I didn't have that problem with his unit. It will go anywhere you need it to go, over multiple surface types.
For cleaning purposes, this model performed almost as well as my more expensive model vacuum. Suction power seemed to be just a hair less. With this unit, and all robotic vacuums, just make sure you are changing the dust bin frequently and also cleaning the filter. It will improve the life of your unit and cleaning will be more efficient.
This vacuum seemed to have solid programming that allowed it to cover all areas without missing any spots. There are several modes you can use to get the job done. Spot cleaning is my favorite for cleaning up the living room where the kids have had snacks. The app is very handy for programming how and when you want to clean.
Battery life was up to par, and allowed me to clean the entire first story of my home on one charge.
I have not yet tried out the mopping feature but I look forward to doing so. Most other offerings do not have this capability so it helps this model stand out due to that versatility.
Overall, this is a solid buy and a great starter vacuum for those that aren't willing to spend up to $700 for the best options out there.

I have had the pleasure to own or use high quality headphones from virtually every high-end manufacturer out there. Sony's newest offering does not disappoint and deserves the attention of all audiophiles.
With Sony, you can always count on great sound quality, so I will spend more time talking about the features. To me, the biggest innovations with this generation are the touch/swipe controls and "Quick Attention".
I have always had trouble remembering where buttons are located and which button does what on various devices. Now, all I have to do is swipe up and down or left and right to change tracks or volume. This was much easier for me to remember and worked as expected.
The Quick Attention feature allows for you to quickly and easily lower the volume and "port" in ambient sound through the built in mic so that you can hear important things around you. There is no need to pause what you are listening to or take the headphones off. This was my favorite feature.
The included soft shell case does the job of protecting your investment. The headphones fit nice and snug and will not take up much space in your backpack / carry-on.
I found the noise canceling to be up to par, and Sony takes it a step further by allowing for customization within their app. To me, you cannot find a better set of headphones on the market at this price point.

Handy Device!

There have been a handful of occasions where I've found myself driving away from my home and I can't recall whether I closed my garage door or not. I don't have that problem anymore!
The MyQ app allows you to see if the garage door is open or closed, and also cause it to open and close. This comes in handy if you find yourself locked out of your house but do have your cell phone. Kids would be able to get in without a key as well if they have an electronic device. This product can simply make your life easier.
Installation is pretty simple. and took me about an hour. The quick start guide isn't perfect but it gets the job done.
I love the feature that provides alerts to your phone if the garage is being opened or closed. This tells me when my wife/kids get home or could potentially alert us to a burglary.
If you are looking to make your garage door opener "smart", this is an affordable and easy way to go!

Does it All! But Make Sure you Have Counter Space

This Ninja Chef blender does it all. In fact, calling it a "blender" doesn't do it justice.
First, the 72oz capacity allows you to make enough servings for a family of 4 in just one batch. We are big fans of smoothies and tested the blender out with a mixture of frozen fruit, tofu, a banana, a few veggies, ice, and juice. The results were fantastic. In our old blender, I was always running out of space trying to cram in the last few ingredients. And after doing so, sometimes the contents would not all get sucked to the bottom. That did not occur with this unit.
Now, the trade-off for having such great capacity is that you will need a lot of counter space. This thing is LARGE. Of course you can pack it away in a pantry or cabinet when not in use, but it has suction cups on the bottom that hold it in place, making it a hassle to move.
The versatility of this blender is amazing. We look forward to trying out it's many features including a self cleaning function, and did I mention it can make ice cream? Can't wait to see how that turns out!

I have owned several bluetooth speakers over the years and this one ranks right up there with the best of them.
Loves:
- This unit is beautifully designed. It looks terrific on a shelf or bookcase. The leather carrying strap is a nice touch. And the metallic button layout is very sleek. The feet on the bottom give the speaker a slight upward angle which I liked.
- Battery life is outstanding at up to 30 hours. If you aren't taking it on the go, it can be left plugged into a wall outlet with the included cord. It comes with a power cord for European outlets if you plan to travel with it.
- It's loud and the bass is strong.
- Sound quality ranks up there with other well known brands.
- It has an AUX port if you need to connect a non-bluetooth device.
- You can charge your phone or other electronic device from the included USB port.

Terrific Projector - Dark Room Not Needed

This is my second projector, but first from Epson. This one performed much better and here are the things I liked most about it:
- The image quality was excellent, even in a lit room. With my previous projector, the room would have to be almost completely dark. To test the video quality out we watched "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" and a TV episode of "The Orville". Both met and exceeded our expectations.
- Darks were displayed well. I did not see any washed out effects like I had on my last projector.
- Other things/features I liked include a quality remote, Wi-Fi functionality, and on-board speakers so you can get audio on the go.

There is no Aux audio output jack. It does not connect via bluetooth. It connects to your home's Wi-Fi network the same way a chromecast device does. Having a chromecast is optional, as you can have audio come directly from the Home device, or have it played through a chromecast connected TV.
