Disappointing Wi-Fi System

After using this whole home wi-fi system for a few days I am left with negative feelings.
The set-up process starts with an app that has a nice interface and worked well up until the point it told me I needed a firmware update to the main unit. I started the firmware update and then got an error message that it could not be completed. Going back to the main menu, I went to try again and got a message that the firmware is "up to date". That was my first problem.
I then connected the secondary unit, which paired without any difficulty. I like the design of these units. They are small, sleek, and do not take up much space. The extender unit does have one ethernet port if you need to connect any wired devices.
Once I was fully set up I began connecting my various wireless devices that were previously all working perfectly with another wi-fi network. Most devices connected perfectly and worked well. Two devices (a smart TV and an A/V receiver) would not connect. After performing routine troubleshooting, I still could not get them to connect and went back to using their previous w-fi network instead. This was frustrating, as there was no rhyme or reason for this connectivity issue.
Future firmware/app updates may help resolve these issues, but for now I cannot recommend this wi-fi system.

Excellent High End Receiver

This is the best A/V receiver I have ever used.
What I liked most was the ease of the set-up process. The user interface for this process made things so easy compared to previous experiences. It walked me through ideal speaker positioning, but went a step further and let me choose my exact speaker set-up for specific calibration. You can select how many speakers you are using (such as zero, 1, or 2 rear speakers) as well as whether or not a sub-woofer is being used.
Another feature that I loved was the audio source auto-detection. When switching from watching a live broadcast program to using an app on my TV, the receiver identifies where the audio is coming from and switches to that input automatically.
The built in Chromecast support made it easy for me to play music from my phone or tablet. I also appreciated the multiple zones this receiver allows for. I can play audio from any source inside, on my back porch, or in both locations at the same time.
Sticking with their reputation for audio products, this Sony receiver was top notch.

Power Gaming Gets More Affordable

I've mostly been a console gamer for the past several years and this was my first chance to try out a higher end desktop PC that is designed with gaming in mind. I was pleasantly surprised with its performance.
This system is good for the PC gamer that doesn't like to build their own towers. The cost is reasonable considering the specs, as you can run any game out there and not have issues with frame rate. I won't get into the specs, as you can see them in the item description.
I loved the adjustable lighting feature on the tower. I set the lighting to mirror the temperature of the CPU so I could tell if the system was running too hot. This helped me ensure I had decent ventilation around the tower and wasn't overworking the processor. The lights never went red, even when running some of the more graphic intensive games out there.
This unit comes with a basic optical mouse and keyboard. I was not a fan of the keyboard. While it was sleek and stylish, the keys are far too short and small (like a Mac keyboard) and I would make many typos with it. Fortunately, most PC users have a USB keyboard that we like already so this was not an issue for me.
If you need a gaming PC and don't know how or don't care to Frankenstein your own together, I highly recommend the HP Omen. HP does a great job of combining enough RAM, processing power, and graphical power at a price that is easy on the wallet.

Excellent High End Vacuum

This is the first Dyson vacuum that I have ever had the chance to use so I was very much looking forward to seeing if the hype was real. The suction power was as advertised, even picking up the corners of throw rugs, a problem I have never had with several other brands of vacuums. I consider this a good problem to have though, as I know my carpets and floors are getting the high quality cleaning they need.
This Dyson was heavier than other vacuums I am accustom to, but not too heavy to operate with ease, as the ball rolls fairly effortlessly. Disposing of the dirt/debris when done was simpler than any other bagless vacuum i have used. With a press of a button, the dirt chamber releases and another button press opens up a bottom hatch to deposit the contents in your garbage receptacle.
All the needed attachments that you would expect are included. Detaching the hose and telescoping it to reach high areas was a cinch.
The only downside to this vacuum is the hefty price. If price is no object for you, then this is a 5 star cleaning machine. If price is an issue, you can get vacuums that do a very good job of cleaning for less money. They just won't likely have the cleaning power of this Dyson.

Excellent Accessory

This is an excellent accessory for anyone that conducts presentations on a regular basis. While pricey, it is a handy tool to enhance your experience and give you more freedom to roam the meeting room.
The size was a perfect fit for my hand and feels comfortable (see picture for scale). I was also impressed with the design, as the USB plug slides right out of the bottom and exposes the USB-C charging port (charging cable included). It also comes with a case.
The feature I liked most was the ability to use this remote as a mouse. The top button can be held down and any motion while held directs the cursor around the screen. You can then select items in the presentation as needed. Not having to be right next to your laptop during a presentation is a great thing. And of course it has the normal forward and backward buttons. This device is compatible with Windows, MacOS, and I tested it with Google Slides on my Chromebook.
I was able to find answers to questions I had about basic operations for this device on Logitech's site, but I would have preferred having a basic instruction manual included in the packaging. (Charging instructions, LED indicators, etc)
If you present a lot, this will be a handy tool for you!

I thought my low end vacuum did a decent enough job of cleaning my floors. That was until I used this Shark.
I have two small children so we tend to vacuum every other day. The suction power of the Shark was such that I found four times as much dirt/hair/crumbs/etc in the container after it's first use. This blew me away and made me feel awkward, knowing that my family had been sitting and playing on what we thought were clean floors for years.
This model comes with all the common attachments you might need. I found the lift-away feature handy for doing our carpeted stairs. The shark also is very easy to push and pull around carpeted floors which makes vacuuming less of a workout.
You can get cheaper vacuums, but it would be difficult to get better value as this Shark cleans better than any vacuum I have ever used.

Excellent WiFi Coverage for Larger Homes

After trialing this new WiFi home solution, I was impressed with it's capabilities and functionality. While pricey, if it's in your budget and you have a larger home, then you will be impressed.
My system came with three nodes which claim to be able to cover 6000 square feet. My home is only 2300 square feet but I tested this by spending some time in the yard and found that I still had a strong signal and max speeds during speed tests. If you don't need this kind of range you can purchase less nodes and save on the cost. One of the best things about this system is that it can grow with you and your home. As you find the need to expand the network range, you can add new nodes very easily. The app is very handy for this.
Set-up was very easy. The instruction manual that the package comes with basically just tells you to install the app and run it. I was skeptical, but it really was that simple. The app is well designed and walks you through every step until you are up and running. Even individuals with low tech skill will do fine.
The app has other nice features that make it easy to enable guest mode, tweak your network settings, and prioritize traffic to individual devices.
I would easily give this product 5 stars if it were more affordable as $500 is a lot to pay to enhance your Wi-Fi network. But if you need coverage for 6000 square feet, affordability might not be a factor.

Excellent wire free home security system

I've used a couple different security cameras in my home over the years and this system tops them all.
First off, it's cordless, which lets you place them literally anywhere and allows you to move them at a moments notice. The feature I like most is the magnetic mounting ball (pictured below) that each camera comes with. You mount this to a wall, and not the camera itself. Once they are mounted you can attach a camera magnetically to the ball at any angle. This allows for very easy tweaking for camera angle perfection, and also to remove the cameras easily when they need charging. If you don't want to mount them on a wall, they conveniently balance well on any shelf. I keep one on top of my refrigerator.
Speaking of charging, the app shows the estimated battery life in each camera by percentage which really comes in handy. Since the cameras only active when there is motion or sound, you don't have to charge them too frequently unless you have them on all the time and are constantly moving in that area. There is a setting you can adjust to go with higher video quality or improve battery life. Cameras can be toggled on and off from the app on your smart phone or tablet.
The siren feature is also a winner. If you are at work and get a movement or sound notification and see that you have an intruder, you can press one button in the app to turn on the siren at the base station. It is LOUD and should do the trick to scare off intruders while you contact the authorities.
This system comes with free (albeit limited) cloud storage. Most products charge a fee by default so it's nice that that Netgear gives you the free option or the option to pay a small amount for more storage.
I had problems with updating the firmware of the cameras but this just turned out to be an app glitch, as they showed as updated after restarting the app.
I didn't have any trouble with Wi-Fi signal strength around my 2300 square foot home, which is something I always worry about. The connections remained stable.
Overall, this is a fantastic indoor/outdoor security camera system that solves a lot of problems that come with wired systems.

some item, such as a rag or something of that nature is jammed in the hose, close to the plastic handle and will not allow air to pass through, how do I dislodge it?
Coat hangers are your best option as they are firm, but malleable.

There is no Aux audio output jack. It does not connect via bluetooth. It connects to your home's Wi-Fi network the same way a chromecast device does. Having a chromecast is optional, as you can have audio come directly from the Home device, or have it played through a chromecast connected TV.
