Terrific mid-range priced router

After giving this dual-band router a whirl for 48 hours here are my thoughts. The quick start guide that comes in the package is right on the money with its instructions, allowing for a very simple set-up. I was up and running within 5-10 minutes of opening the box.
After connecting to the Wi-Fi network for the first time you are directed to the Linksys website to check for updates for the router and adjust any Wi-Fi settings that you want to. After completing this process you will be taken to your router’s homepage that shows you (see screenshot) all the features this router has to offer, including:
-Guest access
-Parental controls
-Managing external storage
-Media prioritization (put Netflix at the front of the line for your bandwidth usage)

This router provided excellent coverage throughout my 2 story, 2300 square foot home. I had it located in a central location on the first floor. With 2 adults and 2 children in our home (and guests), there can be up to 20 wireless devices connected at a time between tablets, phones, gaming systems, laptops, etc. The MU-MIMO tech that this router has promises that it can handle numerous devices without impacting W-Fi performance. After 2 days of testing this claim I was not able to disprove it and never experienced any bandwidth/buffering issues.
As far as routers go, this one is mid-range in price but high end in performance. I would recommend it to anyone in need of a router that can provide great wireless performance to numerous devices and also easy access to settings.

Google's Next Gen Phone is a Winner

After spending a day with the Pixel, I'm sold. There was a lot of hype around Google's release of this new model and they have come through. While pricey (but what new phone isn't?), the features packed into this device are awesome.
What I loved:
-The camera (front and rear) are said to be the best available. I agree. Not only is the picture quality great, but the photo app features are plentiful and useful.
- Fast charging via USB-C.
- Nougat OS seems impressive. This is my first stock Android phone and the lack of bloatware was appreciated.
- The integrated google assistant worked amazingly well. The first several voice commands I attempted worked flawlessly, from checking the weather to providing directions to playing music from one of my favorite bands.
- The fingerprint scanner on the back can be used to scroll notifications. This means I can get updates with one hand if I'm busy with the other.

What I didn't like:
- I couldn't find a way to wake the phone up other than pressing the power button. You can wake it up with the fingerprint scanner, but only if you have a lock on the phone as well and I don't like to lock my phones.

That's my only negative. Google set out to impress with it's first phone where it controls the hardware and the software and they succeeded.

Great sound in a small package

I have been using these for the past couple of days and am very impressed. Pairing, as with most bluetooth devices, was quick and easy. The default silicone tips fit well in my ear but Bose provides two other sizes to ensure a fit for everyone. I was able to complete a grocery shopping trip and mow my lawn without them falling out so they are well designed for stability.
While they are not noise-cancelling, I was able to listen to a podcast at reasonable volume while using an electric lawnmower. I wouldn't expect to be able to hear over a gas mower, however. Sound quality was excellent, as you would expect from Bose.
Battery life seems great, considering how small they are. I went from 80% to 60% after using them for about 2 hours. When you turn them on you are audibly told what the battery life is at which is a Bose feature that I love. They come with a nice carrying case that takes up very little space (pictured next to an iPhone 5 for scale) when you are packing them up for travel.
Bose provides a free app that you can use these headphones with that will allow for heartbeat tracking, which is just one more bonus feature.
Overall, I am very happy with these earphones and look forward to using them for years to come.

Excellent all-purpose laptop

This is the 3rd Acer laptop I have used over the past decade and they keep getting better.
I'll start with the 2 in 1 abilities. You can use it as a regular laptop or fold the screen all the way back to put it in tablet mode. It auto-detects when you fold the screen back to change modes which is very convenient. If you don't want to go full tablet mode you can fold the screen back part way and set it up as a tent (see photo). This provides a stable and convenient set-up for watching videos with the family,
8 gigs of RAM allow for all the multitasking you may need, the 1 TB hard drive provides more than enough space for file storage, and the i5 processor is snappy. Battery life is advertised at 8 hours. After 1 hour of heavy use and playing video I was at 80%, so 5 hours may be more realistic. The back-lit keyboard is another great feature and this is my first device that comes with a USB type C port which I am excited about.
My only dislike for this 2 in 1 laptop is the glossy screen. I prefer a matte screen to limit reflections but I am not going to take a star away for personal preference.
Overall, this is an extremely functional and affordable laptop that will meet any needs that I have.

I already own one of these and am buying a second as a gift. These things make it easy to enjoy quesadillas at home. I like to buy fajita meat, saute some red pepper and onion in olive oil, then build my own quesadillas with some shredded cheese. Easy Set-Up and Great Wi-Fi Coverage

This is a great Wi-Fi solution for those that need improved coverage in their home or a network capable of handling faster speeds. My ISP (Internet Service Provider) originally installed their router in one corner on the first story of my 2 story home. That has prevented me from getting strong Wi-Fi signals throughout my home and especially on the 2nd floor. Netgear's Orbi to the rescue!
I installed the primary Orbi router in a more central location on my first floor, running an ethernet cable behind my couch to my ISP router. I then installed the Orbi satellite on the 2nd story of my home in a convenient location. Pairing the Orbi router and satellite was simple and painless.
Once I had the devices paired I connected my laptop and checked browsing speeds. Web pages loaded as fast as they ever have. I then ran speed tests in every corner of each story of my home and found that I was getting maximum speed everywhere. This set-up really accomplishes what it sets out to do.
One bonus for the Orbi is that both the router and the satellite have 3 ethernet ports that you can hardwire devices to if you prefer that over wireless. That has provided me with 3 ethernet ports in my upstairs loft that I never had before in case I wanted to connect a non-wireless printer to the network or some other useful device.
The speeds this unit is capable of are advertised at 3Gbps. I don't have a need for that fast of a speed yet, but if I needed to stream 4k content over Wi-Fi in the future, I am all set!
I highly recommend the Netgear Orbi for taking your home network to the next level.

Multi-Functional to Suit Any Need

This is a handy device that is perfect for those that don't have a "smart" car with built in GPS and hands free features. It can do it all, from providing you turn by turn directions, to acting as a dash cam for filming your daily travels, to making hands free calls and text messages. I found it easy to import the contacts from my phone after pairing it over bluetooth.
There are two options to mount the device in your vehicle. It comes with a windshield mount or you can use an optional accessory that secures the tablet to your dash. I had some trouble aligning the glass mount perfectly due to the slope of my car's windshield, but eventually found an angle that worked. The mount is magnetic so it it is super easy to attach and detach the tablet for when you want to take it inside. Despite it being easy to attach and remove, it is still extremely stable and there is no worry of it falling off, which I was initially concerned with.
The unit comes with plenty of onboard storage (32GB) but you can add your own MicroSD card if you want to expand.
In summary, this device is well worth the price considering what is capable of. You can buy additional accessories if you would like to have a back-up cam connected or tire pressure monitors. Instead of buying a $15,000+ new car, this is a solid option to get the most of your current vehicle.

I bought this for my kids, hoping that it would be a sufficient controller for their purposes. They are young and would just be goofing off with some basic Xbox games so they didn't need one of the $60-70 high end controllers. This one suited those needs well. If it had the same comfort and precision as an official Xbox controller it would get 5 stars, but getting it on sale for less that half the cost as a regular controller is a great deal.

Great High-end Headphones

This was the first set of Bose headphones I have ever used. I typically have not bought high-end electronics in the past but was thoroughly impressed with the quality difference and feel that these are well worth the extra cost.
What I liked:
- Great sound quality
- Noise canceling was fantastic
- A digital voice tells you the battery life when you turn them on
- Long battery life
- Can connect with Bluetooth or aux cable
- Comes with a nice, firm case to protect them when not in use
- They are lightweight and very comfortable

There is no Aux audio output jack. It does not connect via bluetooth. It connects to your home's Wi-Fi network the same way a chromecast device does. Having a chromecast is optional, as you can have audio come directly from the Home device, or have it played through a chromecast connected TV.

You are saying this device will increase AT&T u verse wifi speed?
It depends on a few factors.
-What is your Max download speed from your ISP?
-How many devices are sharing bandwidth in your home and what is it being used for?
-How large is your apartment/home and are their any environmental factors that impede your wireless signal?
With this being a Tri-band router you can certainly expect it to have improved range over your default ISP router. Increased speeds will depend on the answers to your questions above. If you are a Gigapower customer, then yes, this router will definitely improve your speeds.
