Best Gaming Monitor I Have Used

This is the second, and best, 32" curved monitor I have used. My previous experience was another popular brand and the Odyssey Neo G8 has topped it in every way.
First, the 32" size is perfect for gaming. Any bigger and you find yourself having to turn your neck rather than just shifting your eyes. Any smaller and, in my opinion, you create a disadvantage for yourself in competitive online games. A wall mount bracket is provided if you want to go that route, but I used the base set-up. The included directions made it very easy to install the base and the cords are held neatly behind the mounting rod. Here are some of the other things I liked most...
Pros:
- Blacks and colors both look amazing whether you are playing your favorite games or watching 4k video content. This display is top-notch. 4k with a 240Hz refresh rate is something to behold. I was amazed at the rich and fluid experience compared to monitors I have used in the past. The difference is extremely noticeable.
- The matte display helps eliminate glare and reflections
- The onscreen menu was intuitive and easy to toggle popular options. The buttons are neatly tucked away underneath to keep the bezel looking sleek.
- The curvature does its job, immersing you into the action.
- The screen is easy to maneuver to the angle you prefer, requiring very little effort/force.

Multi-functional and Effective

This is my second Shark robot vacuum and fifth overall (from various manufacturers) that I have used over the past several years. My first impressions are very positive. My Shark vacuums have always performed among the best out of all of them.
Pros:
- Simple set up, 15 minutes max, including downloading and connecting via the Shark clean app.
- 3 different power levels ranging from Eco to High, allowing you to extend battery life or opt for the strongest cleaning power. I suggest always using high power mode when running on carpeted areas.
- Mop functionality was solid. It is easy to switch out the vacuum attachment for the mopping attachment. It comes with two mopping pads that are machine washable. The design of the mopping attachment makes it easy to ensure you are adding the correct amount of cleaning solution (included) and water. Don't expect this to do hardcore mopping jobs though, just basic floor cleaning that isn't heavily soiled.
- This vacuum has good maneuverability, detecting walls and obstructions well. It can also climb up on throw rugs / secondary carpets without issue. (see picture)
- The room mapping tech is excellent and works very well.
- Battery life was good but you will have to charge more frequently if you keep the motor on its strongest cleaning level. I've been getting a little less than an hour of cleaning time on high.

This is one of the more affordable robot vacuums that I have come across that doesn't sacrifice on performance. Even if you don't need or plan to use the mopping feature, it is a good option at this price point for just the vacuuming functionality alone. You can pay more for models with self-emptying basins. I prefer models without that feature, though. This model is easy enough to empty yourself and you can save a few hundred dollars.

Incredible Fit, Features, and Audio Quality

Having used other audio products from Bose over the years, I had high expectations for this latest offering from them. Having owned and loved QuietComfort over the ear headphones as my go-to audio device, I was excited to have an even more portable option without sacrificing the audio quality that you get with Bose. My experience has been nothing but positive so far.
Pros:
- The in-ear fit is fantastic. I have 100% confidence when wearing these earbuds that they will not come loose. The default medium-sized tips and stability bands were just right for me, but small and large options are also included. The stability bands are super helpful for a good fit, without impacting comfort. Great design work!
- Sound quality is amazing, as you would expect from any Bose product. Both music and podcasts sounded great with excellent bass levels on the default settings (which can be adjusted easily).
- The Bose Music app is a helpful companion. Besides being able to add custom modes with varying levels of noise canceling, you can also use the equalizer to tweak bass and treble levels to your liking. It was also helpful when completing the initial software update, giving very clear step-by-step instructions (when to place the earbuds in the case, what the lights would be doing during the update, etc).
- Your audio pauses and restarts automatically when earbuds are removed/inserted. Other brands have sensor tech like this but I've never seen it work this well so consistently.
- The touch controls are great. Both earbuds let you pause/play with a tap, swipe up and down to adjust volume, and also hold to toggle the noise-canceling. These features felt intuitive and eliminated the need for any learning curve.
- The noise-canceling works extremely well, muffling nearby sound, and can easily be toggled off when needed (aware mode). And as mentioned above, the ability to create new modes with varying degrees of noise-canceling is a terrific feature.

Nice and Affordable Router - Gets the Job Done

It feels like I've been using Linksys routers for 15+ years as they have been around for a long time and are consistently putting out high quality products. While the AX3000 is not their highest-end offering for routers, it does what it says it will do and gets your home's Wi-Fi rolling at a reasonable price.
Pros:
- Set-up through the app was easy. Even folks with medium to low technical skill should be able to get it up and running with minimal effort. Setting adjustments are also pretty straight-forward. There is a nice feature to view which devices might be dominating your bandwidth. Do you suspect that your kids might be causing your streaming shows to buffer because they are hogging your bandwidth? You can check!
- This model has a small form factor that will fit on pretty much any shelf/stand.
- Excellent Wi-Fi speeds, up to 3 Gbps

This can be countered by adding optional hubs to extend the signal strength if you wish, but you may just want to just look at another model that costs just a few dollars more. The Linksys AC2200 can cover up to 2500 square feet.

Budget-friendly Gaming Laptop

The Acer Nitro 5 is an excellent option for anyone looking for gaming level specs in a laptop that doesn't break the bank. Here are some of the things I liked most...
Pros:
- Computing power on a budget! While you won’t be running graphic intensive games on their highest settings with this budget-friendly gaming laptop, it provides more than enough muscle for a very good gaming experience. An i5 processor is paired with an RTX 3050 GPU. Higher-end models are pairing the i7 with RTX 3060/70 but you would have to pay a LOT more for them.
- A large and beautiful 17.3” HD display with a terrific 144Hz refresh rate. Games, movies, etc all look gorgeous.
- The Nitrosense App (preinstalled) is simple to navigate and easy to figure out. You can quickly toggle fan control from auto to max or set custom settings. And the Acer TrueHarmony feature lets you quickly select what you will be using your laptop for (shooters, movies, music, etc) and apply those optimal settings. Adjusting the keyboard backlighting is also hassle free and allows for many customizable options, including 4 zones that can be toggled separately.
- When the power adapter is connected or disconnected, a tone sounds. This is a nice touch that I have never seen on any other laptop and can help eliminate those frustrating times when your battery dies because the power cord had come loose.
- Remember when new PCs used to come with tons of bloatware? None to be found on the Nitro 5, which saves you a good 30 minutes of time you would have spent removing programs that came preinstalled that you will never use.

My only downside for the Nitro 5 is how heavy it is. Expect to use 2 hands when moving all 6.6 pounds of this beast off your lap and on to your coffee table. Ideally, you can have a semi-permanent home for this laptop as it is not very portable due to its size. But this is a necessary trade-off for the beautiful 17.3" screen.
This is a great laptop! While you can pay more for other models and get more power/speed, the Nitro 5 should not be overlooked considering the bargain price.

Terrific Performance in a Compact Design

This is one of Alienware's newest offerings in the premium gaming laptop space. With the x14 they are going for high performance and portability. The design is slim and compact as this laptop can easily slide into any backpack or briefcase with ease. It's pretty impressive to consider all that they were able to squeeze into this chassis. Here are some of the highlights...
Pros:
- The solid-state drive allows for quick boot-up speeds. Updating Windows, as you would expect, required multiple restarts and I've never been able to complete the updates on a laptop so quickly. This will also improve loading times for apps/games which is appreciated.
- 16 GB of RAM allows for as much multitasking as you would want and helps enhance your gaming experience. Some higher-end laptops are still only coming with 8 GB.
- The display is beautiful with a terrific refresh rate (144Hz). While the screen size is small (14"), this is by design for the portability of this machine. For in-home gaming you are likely to have a larger monitor to connect via HDMI anyway.
- In recent years, Alienware has improved their cooling techniques which they call "Cryo-Tech Cooling". I have found this to be very effective in both models I have owned (the x17 was the other one). Today's graphics cards run HOT so this is incredibly important.
- Gaming performance was fantastic on all games that I tested. It can handle high frame rates quite well with the RTX 3060 it has onboard.
- The packaging is beautifully crafted and underscores the quality of the product that you are purchasing.

Having used various headphones from numerous manufacturers over the past few decades, I have high expectations for them as I know what I like. This new offering from Logitech was a pleasant surprise and checked every box for me.
First, they have multiple methods to connect to your preferred device. You can use Bluetooth or the included USB receiver (includes a USB-C adapter as well). The Logi Tune app can be used to fine tune audio settings if you wish but it is not required.
Here are some of the things I liked most about the Zone Vibe:
- Lightweight and comfortable, perfect for work or marathon gaming sessions
- The microphone muting worked flawlessly and was super convenient, simply flipping up the mic to mute yourself
- The headphones give you a verbal cue when muting or un-muting which is appreciated ("mute on" and "mute off")
- Sound quality was excellent for all purposes, including Skype/Zoom calls and listening to music
- A cloth sack is included to store the headphones when not in use. This is a welcome inclusion as even some more expensive headphones out there don't have this. They also did a great job of including a small pocket within the pouch to store the USB receiver.

Fantastic performance and value

I have used wireless ear buds from virtually every major brand out there. JVC is not always as highly regarded for their audio products as some bigger players in the space, but this product goes head to toe with them in a big way.
Pros:
- Audio quality was terrific both with music and podcasts.
- The noise-canceling worked very well. A single tap on the right ear bud will enable/disable noise canceling and let you hear or tune out ambient sound.
- Fit was solid. 3 sets of tips are included (picture included). I typically use the medium size tips with other sets, but I needed the small tips to get a good fit with these.
- Controls are simple and easy with a single tap on the left bud to pause/play and multiple taps to perform other functions like volume adjustment.
- These ear buds are a bargain at the retail price. You'll pay less but get similar, if not better, performance from more costly brands.

After spending a few days with the Zenbook Flip from ASUS, I'm convinced that it is one of the best laptops on the market.
First, the OLED screen on this 15.6" laptop is something to definitely write home about. The resolution is jaw-dropping. Whether you are streaming content on your favorite app, checking out a 4k video on Youtube, or doing some gaming, you will be incredibly impressed. Here are some of the other things that I liked:
Pros:
- 2 in 1 versatility, allowing the laptop to be used as a touch screen "tablet"
- High quality onboard speakers (Harman Kardon)
- Snappy performance thanks to the i7 CPU and 16 Gigs of RAM
- The 1TB solid state drive had the Flip booting up faster than any PC I've ever owned. Reboots completed during Windows updates were also quick and painless. It almost felt like I was booting up a Chromebook with how fast I was able to get to the desktop screen.
- While this is not a laptop designed for gaming, you can certainly use it to game. The Intel Arc A370M had no trouble playing any title in my Steam library.
- The keyboard layout ASUS chose allowed for a Num pad, which I feel is important for any laptop keyboard. The track pad was also good-sized, very responsive, and comfortable to use.

Sonos has a reputation for some of the best audio products available. They usually come at a high price point, but the Ray is reasonably priced for the audio quality that you get.
Pros:
- Excellent high-end packaging. The Ray is stored safely and securely and comes wrapped in a felt pouch. A digital optical cable is included.
- Top-notch audio quality for ANY purpose (music, movies, TV). You get good bass even without the need for a separate sub-woofer.
- Built-in WiFi. I appreciated this feature when streaming music through various apps. Not having to connect over Bluetooth was nice as you don't have to worry about wandering out of range of the speaker.
- Having audio of such a high quality in a small sized speaker is fantastic for those with limited space in their entertainment center.

There is no Aux audio output jack. It does not connect via bluetooth. It connects to your home's Wi-Fi network the same way a chromecast device does. Having a chromecast is optional, as you can have audio come directly from the Home device, or have it played through a chromecast connected TV.
